This dress makes you feel like a princess!!! The color and finishes are amazing. Runs true to size and it's comfortable enough for you to move around. My favorite part of the dress is the back! Loved it!!!

I wore this dress to my senior prom and it was absolutely perfect. It was the right length, something that I worry about at my height. The dress fits loosely but not loose enough that it looks too big. The color and the tulle were very comfortable and I was able to dance the night away super easily.

Compliments all night. Didn't even have to wear a bra!

I rented this dress for my organization's formal, and I absolutely loved it! It was such a beautiful, elegant dress that made me feel like a star! I rented the 6R and 4P and ended up going with the 4P, purely because of the length. The regular length was too long for me. The dress fit true to size otherwise. I received compliments on this dress all night long! This was my first rental and still is one of my favorites!

I ordered an 8 and 10 and went with the 10. Fit nicely around my waist and was the perfect length (I ordered a Long, because I am 6'2) The color is gorgeous and it hangs beautifully. You can't wear a bra with a back on it, a backless strapless seems a bit of a hassle. I just settled with pasties, it is supportive and thick enough to protect your chest.

For shorter waisted people, the shoulder straps may fall on and off, but it only happened a couple of times. Dress was in amazing condition! It looked better than I'd imagined it would. Highly recommend!

I loved this dress! I wore it to a 20's themed Gala event we were a presenting sponsor at and I got several compliments on it. It was modest enough for a work event but still sexy with the open back and sheer detail in front. I wore the 8R which was pretty snug around my bigger rib cage but fit much better than the 10. I could've worn an 8L (they were out of that size) but the 8R was only a touch too short with flats even though I'm 5'10. I doubt anyone noticed the length. I would definitely have needed a long if I wanted to wear any heel at all. I have a pretty large bust (34F) and the dress was snug enough up top that I didn't need to wear a bra and felt supported all night. And the fabric is gorgeous! Lastly, this is a super flattering dress if you're pregnant and just starting to show. Lots of fabric in the skirt makes everything hang smoothly without adding any bulk. Overall this was a great rental!

My original order had some issues getting to me due to the Christmas holiday. RTR staff was super helpful and sent me two replacement dresses and I fell in love with this dress! Everyone had a positive comment to say and I felt like a princess.

This dress was not only gorgeous but also comfy for a gown. I got so many compliments and questions about this gown, like "where did you get it?" and "you look amazing!" i recommend this dress 100%!

Fabric was rich and had beautiful flow and drape. The waist is fitted but skirt is very full and forgiving in the hips. I found the top to be less low cut than in the model picture, and was able to comfortably go without bra or fashion tape. The long was not available, but the regular was just right with 2 inch heels on me at 5'8". Loved this dress!

I ordered this dress for a military formal. Based on reviews, I ordered one and two sizes up because people said the band on the waist was snug. I ended up wearing the 12P. I am 5'5'' and the length on the dress was perfect for me with 2 inch heels on. The purple color is even more brilliant in person. I received so many compliments on the dress. The v-neck line does sit higher than what is shown on the model, and I was perfectly happy with it. The only thing I would suggest is some dress tape on the straps to keep them from sliding off your shoulders.

Normally wear a 6P, but a 4P fit better in this dress. I was worried it would be too long, especially since I wasn't planning to wear heels. I went barefoot for a photo shoot. The length was perfect. Beautiful layers of fabric, comfortable and easy to wear.

I rented another dress that didn't end up working out and I called RTR for a last minute switch. I chose this one which they overnighted to me and it was perfect! It was very comfortable, elegant and sophisticated. I got so many compliments at the wedding on the color and overall dress. The dress walks very well as it "floats" behind you (careful up and down stairs though). PLUS I ordered the 6L, I'm 5'10, wore heels and it was plenty long enough! Highly recommend for black tie affairs.

I had ordered the size 2r and the 4 petit ... I ended up wearing the size 2r and fit perfect and very comfortable. It's a long dress so I did have to wear 3-4 inch heals but I'm on the shorter side , that's why I thought the petit might be better but it was to big.... I ordered the 2r cause so many people said it runs big. I'd say I'm normally a size 4 so that was very helpful. It was my frist re the runway look I order and I have to say it was perfect for the romantic garden setting of my friends wedding ... as I was a bridesmaid ....

I got this for a photoshoot to celebrate my tenure & 35th birthday. It was gorgeous, comfy & elegant. We went into the desert and really got some great pics. The dress itself has various layers of tulle and other fabrics. The top layer is black, but the other fabric is definitely purple. It's spreads wonderfully and has plenty of room for girls with a booty (like me). The 8 also fit, but it was uncomfortably tight at the waist (which is a black ribbon with some sort of an effect on it, not leather). However, the 10 was a little big in the shoulders. Since I was doing this shoot, the fit of the dress didn't matter too much, but you could have gone either way.

This dress is more beautiful and lovely than the picture :) very comfortable, although just a touch itchy on top (not really bothersome though). I was looking for a dress that would hide my postpartum bump. The 8R was a good fit around the middle, but the straps were just a touch too long. With good posture it worked ok, although I had to adjust the straps from time to time throughout the night. I also have a small breast cup and the top was a little roomy, probably an 8P might have fit better. Due to the open, low back, there isn't really an option for full coverage or lift bra. As with other reviews, the front is not as low cut as shown on the model. I loved wearing the dress and I danced the night away in it too:)

I wore this dress to a law school formal. I had to order the long and it was the perfect length with three inch heels. The shoulders were a little loose so I wore breast tape for extra support (I'm a 36DDD). The lace is intricate and eye catching. I received numerous compliments, the color is even richer in person. A beautiful and comfortable gown, highly recommend!

I absolutely loved this Monique Lhuillier style. It runs true to size and I would recommend sizing up for the backup. There is comfortable room in the bust and for me, a 34B, it was a little loose on top. Due to the low back and cut of the top I would suggest going bra-less. The belt has no stretch so it is tighter at the waist with comfortable room for the hips. The lace layers are beautiful and allow the dress to flow as you walk. A must rent dress!

The dress has a lot of fabric, so it's super full. The different layers add a lot of depth of detail. It's comfortable. FIT HINTS: the ribbon around the waist has no stretch or give. It hit me right above the natural waist and thank goodness it fit! A size up would have been too big. Also, the top was a bit blousier on me than it appeared on the model. I didn't wear a bra - I have a small bust though so that wasn't a big deal. Overall though - a winner! I got a ton of compliments.

I loved this dress. The purple is so so pretty. The skirt is 3 layers, but it's mostly tulle so it wasn't too puffy or heavy. I'd say it runs true to size to just a tad bit big, considering I had some extra room and typically wear a 0/2 in this shape dress. (But I was also bra-less, so that could have to do with the extra room) The back is a deep V, so a regular bra doesn't work. I tried stick-on bra cups but you could see them through the lace under my arms, so that didn't work either. The 0R was perfect length and hit exactly at the floor- I'm 5'4" and wore 4" heels. It was super comfortable and easy to move in.

This dress is absolutely beautiful! It was not my original pick but had the website been able to show how gorgeous this dress truly is, it would have been my first pick! The dress has a bottom layer of light purple, followed by a second layer of lace and then on top a pleated layer of the black tulle. The top also has a fancy layer and all those layers to make a beautiful V in the front and on the sides under your arms. Very unique and beautiful, not heavy at all. I had friends and people I did not know coming up to me all night telling me how wonderful I looked and how much they loved my dress! It fit true to size. Very comfortable and perfect for dancing! If you want something to feel fabulous in, this is the dress for you. Thank you Rent the Runway for another awesome experience to make a very special event, even more memorable for me!

After reading other reviews I knew this dress ran large on the top so I stocked up on fashion tape and safety pins beforehand. I am small chested and yes, the top was pretty big but with just a few tweaks it was just fine. It also runs long. I'm 5'3" and had on 5 inch heels and still could have done with being about an inch taller but it was fine. The front does not come down as far as it shows on the model although the back is low so a stick on backless bra worked just fine. If you're small chested I would recommend sizing down as the dress is not very fitted. That all being said the dress is BEAUTIFUL and was just what I was looking for a formal NYE ball. I felt like a princess all night and would love to have it in my closet!

This dress is great a black tie event. It falls down flows perfectly! The detail in the fabric really makes it stand out and is very comfortable. It is a bit fitted at the waist, but there is plenty of room throughout the hips.

The color, the fit, the feel... Everything about it is amazing! It actually ended up being an overnighted replacement because the 2 other dresses I had ordered originally didn't work for me. This dress was added to the RTR collection just 1-2 days before the ball so it didn't have any reviews and only 1 photo of it. It made me nervous not getting to see how it fit on others or what the back looked like. I'm SO happy I took a chance! It was beyond perfect! I'm 5'7" and the regular barely grazed the floor. I'm not a girl who wears heels normally so I was happy I had an excuse to wear flats. So if you want to wear heels order a long! Love, love, LOVE!!

The purple is a lot more royal than it looks, yet it is still an understated princess gown. The waist strap is a muted silver. I could not wear a bra with the dress since the back was too low, but it ended up being ok since the material was layered. I'm 5'6" and the 0P size was perfect length with a couple inch wedged heels.

i used this dress for my engagement and it was beautiful. It did run large, slightly loose but still wearable. I am a size 0, btw. I loved the pattern on the dress. It was subtle but still noticeable. Length was perfect. would very much recommend this for sure!

So I was a little skeptical at first after reading all the reviews but I rented anyways. I will say that it is a bit loose on the top but of course I'm pretty small in that area so maybe if you're more blessed than I am, it'll fit perfect. The dress is so stunning, people wouldn't stop complimenting me the whole night. I got the 8L because I'm 5'7 & I wanted to wear heels but I would totally recommend going with an 8R unless you plan on wearing 6 inch heels with it (I wore 3in heels). The lace tends to get stuck on the heel if you dont wear the right size heels. Overall, I loved my rental & I'm so excited to see the photographers pictures.

I'm roughly 5'11" and the regular dress was about an inch above my toes when I wore flats. The waist sat mid rib cage (which is a little larger than my waist) on me and fit perfectly fine. Like the other reviews the top of the dress is a little loose if you have a smaller chest (32A) and the neck line isn't as low as pictured, which I really liked from the picture shown and that slightly disappointed me, but the deep v in the back was just as shown. It was really comfortable, I was able to sit comfortably and dance at my prom, and I recommend the dress for whatever formal occasion.

The Cassidy gown is a rich purple with lots of fabric in the skirt. I'm 5'2 so I wore 5 inch heels and the length was perfect. I pinned my hair and styled it to the side so show off my open back. I'm really happy I chose this gown! I danced all night in it.

Honestly I thought this dress was much more blue than it really was so I was a little surprised when I opened it but ended up loving it. I had 3 inch heels on and still had issues with the length but was cautious of it when walking around. I wore this to a charity gala and had compliments all night on it. I usually wear a size 2 in dresses that aren't super form fitting, but this one definitely felt a lot looser than a normal 2.

The reviews were correct that it runs bigger. The sides stood out weird and made me look very square, so I safety pinned them back. After doing so it looked way better! The dress length was perfect, I am about 5'7-5'8 and I was able to wear a baby heel.

The empire waist made for a "bump friendly" fit. I had to go up a few dress sizes from my normal maternity clothes size as my bump sits rather high making the waist line, even for an empire waist, too low. The high waistline gave me a lot of extra fabric up top and made the straps a bit too long. Luckily, I was able to use dress tape, which came off very easily without residue, and folded the extra fabric under the belt with little to no sign of some alterations. Fit perfectly after the slight adjustments.

I was a little shocked at how purple this gown was in person -- much more so than in the pictures. The shape is really beautiful (although not nearly as low-cut as it appears). The detailing and layers of chiffon and lace were a lovely combination. I absolutely loved the back, but the front was a little awkward, and made my chest look wider than usual. It also runs pretty long and large. I'm usually a 2L, and the 0R still left some room. I'm 5"5 + 4 inch heels, and the skirt dragged on the floor a bit. It was definitely different, and definitely stood out, but maybe better suited for someone a little curvier. As usual, the customer service at Rent the Runway was amazing.

I usually wear a 0L but my size was not available for this event. I ordered a 2R and it was JUST long enough with ballet flats. Beware if you are flat chested! The dress is cut for a larger chest than mine (I'm 32A) and I had to pin in some hefty padded cups just so the dress would lay right. Also, the front is not nearly as low cut as pictured on the website. All in all a lovely dress though. Elegant movement when walking and the back cut is beautiful. Unique color great for silver or gold accessories.

A very bright purple with a see-thru black layer (of chiffon?) over the top that tones it down. However, make sure to wear a very smooth bracelet as mine kept snagging. Very full skirt, lots of material. I have every confidence that had I received the 2R that I wanted, I would have had a better experience wearing this dress. However, the girl who had it before me destroyed it and they could only send me the backup size of 4L. It was too long and I constantly had to move fabric around, walking, sitting and especially dancing. The top made my bust look wide but I think the correct size would've looked better. PS it has sheer side panels so wear a black or nude bra.

I'm 5'11" and wore flats so this dress was still an inch or so too long, had I worn small heels it would have been perfect. Definitely get a sticky bra (or double stick tape) to keep the girls in check, as the top was a bit big. Careful with jewelry though because the lace can snag super easy. Overall, I am in love with this dress. The color is perfect for a fall event and the cut in the front and the back is super sexy but still tasteful and classy.

It was just okay. The fabric was a little large at the chest area and had weird angles due to that. It was fun to dance in though. And honestly, my expectations might have been too high since I went to a Harry Potter ball and was hoping for a more magical dress.
