Great Overall

This is the kind of dress that will make all of your Cinderella dreams come true! It is gorgeous!! I rented it for my engagement photo shoot and did not end up wearing it only because we ran out of time. This dress is so beautiful! It looks bulky in the pictures but was not so in real life. I am 5.5 125lbs and 32B-C. The 0 fit snugly so I would suggest if you are larger in the chest, consider a size up. The top was lined and had boning so a bra was not needed. The skirt is to die for! It is so full and had a slit as seen in one of my pictures. I really wanted to keep this dress! It is definitely my favorite rental to date!

LOVED THIS DRESS!!! I have a pretty boxy build, and this dress looked phenomenal. I felt phenomenal and I got so many compliments. I wore this for a black tie Christmas gala, and this was perfect. The dress does run slightly small due to the boning in the bodice. While it helped with the girls, it did dig into my hips a little bit and by the end of the night I was a little sore, but it was totally worth it and wasn't unbearable. If you rent this dress you will stand out from the crowd, and absolutely not in a bad way.

This dress was a huge hit! I selected after one of my original picks was not available at the last minute. It does fit very snug in the top, as others said. I fit into the 10, my typical size, but I'm confident that I would have been more comfortable in the 12. The top has boning and a bra, plus the outside zipper. After dinner, dessert and drinks, it was quite uncomfortable. Just order a size up and you will be fine. Length wise I wore around 3 inch heels and it dusted the floor perfectly. It was an absolute show stopper, and I have never received more compliments!

I rented this dress for my senior prom, and it was an absolute showstopper! The fit for me was perfect; though some have said it runs large on the top, I'm a larger-chested girl, and it fit snugly. The dress itself was so comfortable, well-made, and I didn't have to keep pulling it up all night! I received so many compliments on this dress, it'll be forever my favorite rental!

This was hands down my favorite rental - the fit was perfect, the fabric stunning, and the ball gown effect was head turning! Everyone was asking about it.

The bodice is tight, which is a major pro because the dress stays in place without straps even when walking around or dancing. This makes it slightly less flattering right at the top of the bodice, but overall the tradeoff is well worth it to not be pulling at the dress constantly. There are no other cons to this dress: the material is thick, of obvious quality, and falls beautifully without arranging; the shape is lovely, especially in the back; and the pattern is beautiful. The height guidelines may be slightly off, as I am 5'7'' and wore 2'' heels and the skirt of the regular length still dragged slightly on the ground. The back is also a bit longer than the front, but, I mean, who doesn't want a train, really.

I didn't end up wearing this dress to the wedding, mainly because of the length. After finding out we would be trekking up and down stairs from the ceremony to the reception I decided to go with another option. HOWEVER - this dress is magical. The corset bodice tucked me in right where I needed it, the fabric was so elegant, and the poof in the skirt was just enough! I absolutely loved it and would definitely consider renting it again if the right event popped up!

This dress was the most amazing dress I have ever worn and I felt fabulous in it all night! The top does fit on the tighter side, but it is perfect for keeping the dress up all night. I would recommend ordering your normal size and then a size larger for your backup. Overall, this dress was perfect!!!

I am 5'9 with a curvy/athletic figure. I wore the 2L in this gown with 3 inch heels. I prefer to wear this brand as they always are long enough and fit perfect. The gown had a bit of a train which was perfect for a black tie. The back for the dress is beautiful with a lower back meeting the zipper. Also, the dress has pockets can't go wrong. The overwhelming number of responses from folks at the event and social media solidified even more why it's always a good idea to go with ML Monique Lhuillier

After reading the reviews I was a little worried that the 0R would be too small even though I usually wear a size 0, but it fit perfectly! The dress came with a corset-type bodice that helped the dress to stay up throughout the night, only had to pull it up a few times as I was dancing and my chest is on the smaller side. I wore 4 inch feels but the length was still a bit too long, if the dress had come in a 0S it would have been perfect! I was a little disappointed that the dress came with a few rips in the lining on the pockets and the slit, but they weren't noticeable so I didn't mind too much. Perfect for a ball or gala! I received so many compliments and felt like a princess the entire night! (Plus, it has pockets!)

Absolutley loved this dress! Getting the 6L was a good move since I'm fairly tall - it was the perfect length with 3.5 inch heels. The dress was fairly heavy so I wouldn't reccomend it for hot weather. Overall, no complaints on my end and I would definitely rent this dress again!

Gorgeous gown! I felt like the belle of the ball. At 5'9" I was able to wear a 3" heel and the dress length was perfect for dancing. If I was not going to be dancing, I would have rented the long. As others have already stated, the bodice is VERY tight. I was sore the next day, but I did not have to tug at the bust line all night. So, pick your poison.

I absolutely loved this dress. I was a little skeptical because it was a patterned dress for a formal affair but omg I have never felt to good in my life! I got so many compliments and was told I looked like grace Kelly wish I could wear this dress to every event I went to! This dress is great for hour glass as I find it really hard for dresses to fit me at the waist. The bust was more on the small size but I am a C so it was not terrible but definitely doesn't need a bra. If you want to have the best looking dress at your event definitely get this! Also it has pockets aka you don't need a purse so double win.

This dress is incredible! I felt like a princess all night wearing it. Strangers walked up to me all night to comment on the dress. I am 5'7" and wore about four inch heels and it was perfect length wearing the regular size. The long would have been too long. No need to wear a bra as the top is very fitted. The boning in the top can pinch a little bit when sitting for long periods of time but who cares because this dress is so worth it!! It made for a magical evening!

Pockets! A slit op the front (makes walking and moving easier). So classic and sweet. Was heartbroken to not wear it, but my backup style was so good too.

I wore this dress for my Military ball and I absolutely loved it! I read all of the reviews and they were spot on! At first I didn't realize there was a slit in it, but it really adds to the dress. It doesn't go up to high either. Just a classy slit. The zipper once you hit the seams are a little tricky but once you get passed that it fit like a glove. The back is a bit low so I suggest wearing a sticky bra if you have one or it will show in the back. They heels I wore were 4.75 inches and I am 5'6 and the height was perfect! I got the 0R. I'm very skinny and only way 105. And my bust is a 32 A, and it still fit perfectly! I wasn't pulling up my dress all night like I was expecting to be. I continued to get complements throughout the night! Really a stunning dress I'm very pleased. I will definitely use rent the runway in the future

I can not say enough great things about this dress! I've rented plenty from RTR and this one has yielded the most compliments. People were coming up to me from everywhere to comment on this dress; my trip to the bathroom alone won 3 compliments. Some examples included that I looked like I belonged at the Oscars, or that I looked like a model :) The fit between the 8 and 10 were drastically different in my opinion, and I sized up. That being said the boning was comfortable and flattering, there are pockets, and there are several bodice eye/hook closures in the back which meant I could go braless and was well supported. I'm 5'7" and wore 2" heels and still the regular length dragged, which was fine for my event, but I would not recommend this dress for an event with dancing. There is a lot of fabric which makes it great for Winter, but again, easy for people to step on the bottom. If you are a taller lady and are going for ultimate glamour, look no further!

This is a beautiful and well made dress! The design is perfect because you can pair it with any other accent colors, and it's classy and subtly simplistic. As for the fit, when I ordered I should have done so further ahead of time in order to get the size I preferred. I read other reviews that the top bodice is very snug and has no give and I would agree with this. Ideally I would have liked an 8L with a 10L backup, but the only size available was a 6L so I ordered that with no backup. It took some work to get into, and once zipped up pinched and poked in some places uncomfortably, but I still made it through the night and received tons of compliments. An advantage to fit was not having to tug up on it all night! It literally did not move while I walked, jumped, danced with my hands in the air, etc. Order this dress and you won't be sorry! You'll be the showstopper of the party.

This was dress was so much fun to wear! I received compliments all night and felt like the most gorgeous woman in the room. Wearing this dress made me feel like a princess! The only issue I had was that my normal size 14 ran small and thank goodness I went with a bigger size up as my back up dress. I will definitely rent again!

Very bold piece, should be pieced with subtle accessories and light makeup.

I looooved this comfy dress. I would have been fine to wear either the 2 or the 4 but went with the tighter top on the 2 so I wouldn't have to be pulling the dress up all night. Also loved the pockets!!

You will not be disappointed in this dress! I wear a 0 from The Limited and Express, and a size A cup. This dress is really fitted at the top, but it needs to be that way to hold up all the fabric. Just be prepared to take a deep breath and have someone help you zip it. I was told on the way out, "You had the best dress there. It's stunning!"

This was such a beautiful dress and perfect for the Marine Corps Ball. It fit perfectly and stayed in place all night...no tugging at the bust. The pockets were great. I didn't even have to carry a purse! The dress is very full and long so I was accidentally stepped on a few times. I highly recommend this dress if you want something elegant and stunning for a special event! I felt like a princess all night and my husband loved it!

This dress was perfect! It was a little hard to zip up and I had to put wax on the zipper. It doesn't look as impressive in photos or on the hangers. I had a red strapless dress as a back up and originally everyone said they liked the red one...until they saw this one on. It was a clear winner

Well made dress. Stunning really. If anything, it was a little long for me.

I got so many compliments. The dress looked amazing. I am 5'8 &wore 4" heels but the 6L was still too long by a good amount. The bodice is the only fitted part. High waist & lower ribs are all that it needs to fit. Never worried bodice was falling down. I wasn't pulling at the dress all night. It will fit variety of chest sizes. I am 32C. Had room for padding.

I wore this dress to a very formal Masquerade ball that I hosted. As the host of the event, i needed a "wow" dress and that was the feedback I received all night! It's a great statement dress, is very comfortable and it fit great. I added a black flower belt and some black gloves to go with the mask!

This dress fit amazing. I have a large chest (36 D-DD) but felt supported the entire night. I loved having pockets - phone, lipstick, make up blotter, and money fit in and you couldn't tell. The boning was noticeable but not uncomfortable. This dress made me feel incredible and I was complimented all evening so I call it a success.

This is an amazing dress for anyone looking for an incredible dress! My husband and I along with local community members created the Raise Your Glass Foundation. Our annual charity gala is something so many look forward to. This dress received compliments ALL NIGHT LONG! I loved the pockets and felt I was the belle of the ball! The pros are the print, the pockets, the fullness of dress and the quality. The cons are the tightness in the ribcage area. I could have gotten away with the 2L but I wouldn't have been able to breath all night. I really needed the 4L but it was rented out. The 6L works with some temporary tacking on the side. I'm on the taller side but the larger size gave me more length so I was able to wear 3 inch heels and still have it hit the floor. The dress was a big hit-Everyone was coming over to tell me how much they loved the dress. Way to go RTR!!!!!

This was a dress RTR selected as a replacement after a frustrating series of dress mishaps. I wasn't optimistic, but...HOLY COW. I wish I had picked this one first! It was STUNNING. You won't regret renting it - compliments all night, and the slit made it much easier to maneuver. Gorgeous box pleats. Tight bodice, but I'm still glad I went with the 0, as I have a very small bust size.

Beautiful dress with perfectly soft fabric and pockets! The booking kept the dress up without constantly having to re-adjust. Besides the bride's, i think my dress was most complimented all night!

This was a last minute reservation for me as I'd forgotten about a black tie event I was obligated to attend. Well thank goodness for last minute rentals. It looked amazing and I received compliments all evening. Big busted gals take note, the corset isn't very forgiving. I sized up a bit for that reason.

Where do I begin. This was my first RTR and I used this dress for my wedding reception. There were zero cons. After receiving an email 2 days before it was expected to arrive I was notified the size I ordered was too damanged from the previous renter to ship. RTR called me, immediately sent me a dress of a similar style to match the theme of my wedding and I received the replacement the next morning. Even after all that fuss I STILL received the original dress on time!!!!! Upon receiving this dress it looked brand new, the way the waist is cut helps hold the dress up and despite being strapless I didn't have to tug on it all during the night. I felt amazing!!! I rented the regular length as well but for the 4inch heels I was wearing the long covered my shoes and allowed me to still walk where the regular length exposed my shoes.

The dress was amazing quality and felt amazing on. I'm a 36DD, so the inside corset was perfect for holding everything in and making me feel comfortable. There are hidden pockets which were awesome to have. I thought I would be able to fit a 14, but my just was too big so im,glad I got a 16 as back up. I received compliments all night for this dress and couldn't be happier with it.

the dress is fairly true to size, but if you aren't sure - i'd recommend sizing up (granted i have a fuller bust). it's heavy and long, so if you're not 5'9" or taller, i'd recommend the regular length. the neutral color, paired with a bold pattern is killer. i wore this to the sf symphony opening night gala and received numerous compliments. it's fun, festive and well made.

This dress was a total knockout! The fit is determined by the chest which ran a little small, so I had to size up. The dress is gorgeous and there's a hidden but tasteful slit which added drama. As someone else mentioned, the bodice can rub at the top of the hips a little but that was minor. Would rent it again in a second!

This gown was beautiful! The only size available was an eight(8) and it fit perfectly.

I was stopped over and over with comments about this dress---the big, bold pattern was amazing and the fit is very flattering. The bodice runs a Tad small. I usually wear either a 6 or an 8...and I definitely needed the eight. Note: The fit is snug up top and you'll need someone to help with getting it on as the zipper is tough. But, once it was on, it was quite comfy. Oh, and it has pockets (amazing)! I was so sad to send this back!
