As a stylist I try thinking outside of the box for many different looks. I thought it was cool to place white button downs under extremely elegant gowns! I received so much positive feedback from the shoot. It was a complete success!

It photographed extremely well and overall I'm very happy with the way everything turned out. I went to one of RTW's stores and tried on dresses. Usually I'm a 4 in dresses, but the women at the store said that it runs small and I should order a 6. They were right! It fit perfectly. The waist was snug and the dress didn't fall down at all. The only thing is my breasts didn't fill out the top completely so I needed to wear a bra with the dress. If you have slightly larger breasts this shouldn't be an issue. I'm about 5'7" and I wore flats with the dress. The dress was fun to twirl and dance in. I definitely recommend this dress! I got so many complements on it!

I ordered two sizes 8R and 10L, 8 is generally my size and with this dress it was too small. I have big chest 34DDD so it wasn't closing. I ended up going with 10L which was perfect size and length wise. I'm 5'10 without heels, so with pair of 4inch heels it was great! Had to be careful going up and down the stairs because of the beautiful tulle. I received so many compliments on the style and fit! I felt amazing! I would definitely suggest this dress as a pick! It complimented by curvy figure and had so much grace and class!

I always assume formal wear will run small, and this did, so glad I got the 16! I also thought I'd want the long, but was able to wear Dansko clogs and be amazingly comfortable since I got the regular. Because the waist is tight, I had zero worry about it being strapless, even while dancing.

The dress is prefect size for me!

LOVED this dress!! I wore this to my prom paired with RJ GRAZIANO Abbey earrings and 5 inch nude heels since the dress does run long. I got complements all night and wearing this dress made me feel like a princess. Highly recommend!

Fit like a glove, although the zipper was a little tricky. By the end of the night, the boning on the left was digging into my side. It was totally worth it though! There's nothing like a few layers of tulle and a floral pattern to make a girl feel like a princess.

I rented the 14 and 16, but chose the 16 because the 14 was a little tighter on my chest (I am a 36DDD) than I would have liked. This dress was absolutely beautiful and I got compliments from the moment I put it on until the moment I took it off. I am so in love with this dress and I wish I could keep it forever!!

Pros: This dress is amazingly elegant and so comfortable! I wore it to our black tie Christmas party and got compliments all night. I ordered the regular length since I didn't want to wear super high heels. I wore a pair of comfortable 2-inch wedges and it kept the dress floor length. It's very flattering and you don't need to wear a bra or Spanx! Only cons: It does definitely run small. I usually wear a 12-14 and the 16 fit me. There are two zippers on the back, which are kind of a pain to work with. The 16R came damaged, with small rips in the mesh at top. RTR made it right, but just be aware that there is a lot of mesh and it feels very delicate.

Perfect fit. Loose at the hips which is perfect for my figure. Got so many compliments in this dress. I'm in love with it.

Absolutely fabulous rental! Definitely recommend. I am a 34D , 5'3 , 120lbs and the 4R fit perfectly! Tulle skirt moved like a dream on the dance floor! Only thing is THE DRESS IS LONG so be sure if you're a smaller woman to wear very high heels or a platform! The black lining under the tulle creates a beautiful silhouette that really turned up the sexiness of the dress! A great choice for effortless glamour!!

This was a last minute backup, and thank goodness I picked it because it was the best fit/look by far! It runs a bit small, and since I have a very large bust I had to go with the 16, but it was so comfortable the entire night. It was flattering and the colors are perfect fall complements. I wish I had another wedding to go to this fall just for the sake of wearing this dress again! Bustier top has boning and two zippers (inner and outer) so there really is no need for undergarments. The skirt was very wrinkled when it arrived but I hung the dress in the bathroom when I showered and the steam straightened it out right away.

I wore this dress for my surprise 30th birthday trip to Boston. I wore this to L'Espalier and the Boston Opera House. The compliments were endless! I felt like a celebrity. We had to catch a cab and numerous times, people just stopped and stared or did double takes. Women just stopped me to say how much they dug this dress. I was really humbled because I just wanted to make my day memorable, and was it ever! I adored this dress and definitely worth the rent. It runs large, but only slightly. I got the 6R and the 8R as a backup. The 6 was perfect as I'm normally a 4. The dress fit well and was just a dream. I was originally going to wear 6 inch heels, but switched at the last minute. That was regrettable as I stepped on the dress all night, and so did others. So, I'd wear very high heels just for safety purposes.

I waited a day too long to book the 10R and 12R, so I gambled on the Longs and it worked out! With my measurements (and I'm pretty short-waisted, for my height) and 4" heels, the 10L was PERFECT, provided I stood up straight and never took my shoes off. Which is to say, I'd have been a little better off in the 10R, most likely. But I was able to dance, sit, walk, eat, and hang out very comfortably all evening in this gorgeous gown, and I got many compliments! I would not recommend it for outdoor or warm-weather events, because all the tulle does make it pretty heavy.

Wore this dress to a 1950's Golden Age of Broadway event. Everyone loved it. Yes the top does run small so go up one size. I am 5'3" and wore 5" heels and that worked although I did have to walk carefully to avoid stepping on the tulle. I would highly recommend this dress.

Fits true to size, absolutely beautiful and so fun to wear. Great fit, very tight on top and dramatic bottom. Of the more than 100 dresses I have rented, this is one of the top 2 (the other being the Reem Acra Florence Gown).

While looking for a prom dress on line I decided to check out rent the runway after seeing a blogger I follow use it. I fell in love with this dress and booked a size 2R and 4R in January. I recieved my dress on Thursday April 30th and my prom was May 2nd. I took out the 2R and decided to try it on first, and it fit perfectly. I do wish I couldve used the 4R as the 2R was horribly torn up, but it would've been too big. The top layer of tulle had a large tear in it that dragged and looked pretty obvious when I walked, and the tulle around the back zipper had been ripped and patched up with a hook and eye which looked bizarre. We called in and RTR apologized and said that we could work on the dress to make it work as they had no more 2Rs to overnight. My dad gently patched the tulle up as best he could in both bad spots, and they were for the most part fine. The dress made me feel beautiful, and I didn't want to take it off. I felt very classy and pretty in it. It really is a beautiful gown and I recieved many compliments on it. I was probably the only one who noticed the tears, so it didn't matter too much. This dress is wonderfully girly and I would wear it again in a heartbeat.

Tons of compliments! I think I heard "you look like a princess" more than once. I'll take it! This dress was so fun and flowy. The only cons were it is a 2 person job to get into this dress. There is an inside zipper to hold you in and then the outside zipper sticks and does not slide easy at all. So have assistance, and half a can of Crisco when you rent this one. The 2R is what I worse and I wore 5 inch heels with it and it was too short of a dress. I ended up changing into flip flops and the length was fine. If you are above 5'6" rent a long size. Great dress for dancing as everyone will stear clear of you because they can see this dress coming from a mile away. I didn't get stepped on once. ;)

This dress is simply classic and beautiful. The top part has this rose detail that is reminiscent of a vintage style dress. I'm almost 6 feet tall and the dress worked well with kitten heels and even better with some flat sandals as you wouldn't be able to see. Tall heels won't work if you're tall. It covers the midsection well. It is hard to zip up but my husband sprayed some WD40 on a paper towel and rubbed it a little on the zipper and it went right up. Overall I love this dress and didn't want to return it. RTR is my new go-to for dresses!

This was sent last minute as another gown was returned damaged. I adore this gown. It's the perfect mix between elegance and youth with the tulle ball gown skirt and the gorgeous corset patterned top. It is VERY tiny around the ribs. If you are anything bigger than a 31 bra size, you will not get this zipped. It's a two person job to zip this up, FYI. There are two layers of boning. Absolutely stunning. I'm 5'7" and got the 0L and the length was perfect with flats or heels, because of the way the skirt is. Gorgeous.

I had such high hopes for this dress for my black tie affair, but it was such a disaster! I'm a TTS size 6, and the sizing information for the dress didn't mention anything about it not running TTS, so I had ordered the 6 as suggested. It was so small I couldn't get the bust anywhere near zipped! Just from that, I probably would have been safe renting at least a size or two up. Not only that, but the dress is ridiculously long, even with my 4" heels on (I'm 5'3"). I only suggest this dress for those who are a very slim and tall. Not for us petite girls!

This dress is everything!!! Edged it out a bit with a white collar shirt & some mid-calf rider boots. Zipper is a bit tricky, but once you're in you're totally winning!

This dress was incredible!! It definitely does run small - I'm normally a ten and though I fit in the 14, it was pretty snug. I loved the flowing tulle in the skirt of the dress - although it did get pretty warm in there on the dance floor! The dress is also quite long. I'm 5'6" and wore the regular length with flats. I definitely needed to hold up the front of the dress on stairways but was able to walk comfortably on flat surfaces. My only complaint is that I had to give it back!

The dress was almost exactly what I expected! It fit very well but the underskirt was a little too short. I am 6 ft tall The over skirt was dreamy but had some long parts that were a little clumsy to walk around so I had to pull up the front during the night to prevent my shoes from getting caught in the tulle. The dress was stunning and I would definitely use RTR again. I'm considering using them for my bridesmaids.

The 4L wasn't available due to it being returned late, so I wore my backup size of 6R and it fit well because it ran a bit small. It was comfortable and beautiful!

It fit perfectly. I had a 4R but never tried it on because the 2R (the backup dress) was perfect. There are two zippers which ensure a nice and snug fit. I wore heels a bit taller than 4 inches with my dress but I still managed to step on the hem of the dress.

The dress fit true to size but the zipper isn't very good, so zipping into it was a little tricky. I have a smaller bust and the strapless bodice fit great, so if you worry that you can't hold up a strapless gown this is a good choice! I was worried about stepping on the tulle at the bottom for most of the night, but if you're careful it should be fine.

So many compliments! This dress is a showstopper. All the tulle makes a heck of a statement. I knew that I would probably need to size up, but the 16 was out of stock so I just crossed my fingers for the 14. It fit, but barely (took two people get me into it) and by the end of the night I couldn't wait to unzip, especially because the boning had been digging into my side for hours. I'd definitely recommend sizing up if you carry your weight in your midsection like I do. (On the upside, it was snug enough that I didn't have to wear a bra!) That said, I'm really glad I wore it. I felt beautiful and glamorous. I'll caution shorter girls to wear heels, though. I wore 3' pumps and the skirt still brushed the floor. I spent a lot of the night worried about stepping on it and ripping it. Would absolutely rent again, just in a bigger size.

I'm a size 0 or XS (32D, 111 lbs, 5'4") but the 0R did not fit at all! Thanks to the incredible customer service department for overnighting a 2R at the last minute! That one fit like a glove.

This dress is light weight and has a light fabric layer and then some added tool, so it isn't hard to dance in. It is different then what most girls wear to prom, so you are sure to stand out, in a good way. The dress is also very comfortable. My only critiques would be that the zipper is hard to zip and gets stuck and that it runs a little small. Over all it was another wonderful experience with RTR!

I usually wear a 14, but based on other reviews of this dress running small, I ordered the 16L. I'm 5'8" and could have worn 3-4" heels with the long. Otherwise, the dress fit like a glove and was very comfortable! The topmost layer of tulle is longer than expected and was stepped on a few times but not bad. I got compliments all night long, even standing in groups with other women! The middle belt area didn't quite hit my true waist, hitting just above. Overall amazing dress! I wanted to keep it so bad.

The dress is beautiful but it absolutely takes another person to zip you up. The tool is beautiful but was mildly hazardous Bc it would stick to the bottom of my heels. Great for standing, talking and boozing, a little harder to dance in. Overall still a stunning dress!

The dress looked great but it did run REALLY small, particularly in the waist. If you have a wide ribcage, I suggest going two sizes up. I normally wear a 10 but the 12 wasn't even close to fitting. Thank god I also got a 14 or else I would have been going to the event naked. It was also kind of difficult to zip up because there's a weird 2 zipper situation. You're almost certainly going to need help putting it on. The material on top is much thicker than I thought. It made the fit somewhat lumpy near the bust. The overall silhouette was nice and I like the way it cinched in my waist.

This was a really pretty gown! I wore it for several hours. It runs a tad bit small as the 0 took awhile to zip up

I ordered the 14L and the 16L and the 16L couldn't be sent. The 14 fit (it could be zipped) but there wasn't enough boning to keep it up well so it sagged. Even when standing strait it seemed to droop too much (I have 36E boobs) and created rolls. It was too tight to wear a strapless bra. My husband didn't think I looked good in it and I trust his eye. It didn't do me any favors so I rejected it and if you have big breasts, I don't recommend it. The skirt/tulle also hung pretty strait and looked tired. It didn't have that fun princess gown wide drape that the photo implies. I usually wear 12 - 14 though I'm closer to a 14 right now so I think it was pretty true to size. Luckily my surprise back up (Wild River Gown by ML) worked. Props to the customer support too. This company is awesome!

The dress was reviewed by others as running small so I went up a few sized to account for this. I typically wear a 12-14 because of my wide shoulders and rib cage, and I went with a 16 as per the other reviews. It ended up fitting perfectly and looked great for our gala. I will say that the skirt is a little long. I am about 5'5" and wore 4 inch heels and I still needed to gather the tulle to walk.

I thought that this dress was great! I am normally a 6 and ended up wearing the 8. The ribbing in the 6 was just a little tight. It is pretty long. I am 5'5'' and definitely had to pick it up when I was walking so I didn't fall all over it.
