Loved wearing this dress to my friend’s wedding. It is long ( I am 5-7) so heels are encouraged.

So glad I ordered the 8L! It was perfect with 3 inch heels. The 8R was a bit too short for me even standing barefoot. For the older ladies here’s some good info: I wore a nude colored, size 36D bustier for support. The color wouldn’t have mattered as it didn’t show anywhere at all. It was perfect! Hope this information helps.

I wore this for an Indian wedding and it was very appropriate in relation to the beautiful saris and lenghas. It's a very classy and elegant dress.

This was my first experience with RTR... I went through a few dresses in different sizes before I found this one. Customer service was great and shipments always came early. This dress was perfect for a November wedding, I was super comfortable the whole night from eating to dancing!

Wore this for an outdoor/indoor graduation. Was cool enough for 80 degree weather. The lace was beautiful and soft. Not much stretch in the dress so walk/dance carefully.

I loved wearing this dress! I agree that it's best to size up and get the long length if you're tall. I'm 5' 9" and it was a good length w 3" heels and flats. Regular length would have been too short w heels. The dress is also comfortable and forgiving/flattering.

I never wear gold, never think it goes with my coloring, but dress was fabulous. I wore a 6L over an 8R bc I wanted the extra length (I'm 5'9") and the fit at the waste was more flattering... the top by my arms and neck were a tad snug (I have a broader chest and bigger arms) but it was worth the tiny bit of discomfort for the rest of the fit. No bra or stick on cups needed, which was nice. I reco this dress for any formal affair.

Didn't end up wearing but liked the look; the metallic thread in the underarm area seems like it might be scratchy over a long wear.

What a lovely elegant dress. Unfortunately 14Long was too long and 12Regular was not available. I had to return without wearing.

The dress was beautiful and comfortable! Didn’t find hthe arm holes too small or itchy. It just got well and it moved well.

This was the perfect gown for a New Years wedding! It was a little loose in the hip area (I have no curves, athletic build, 130 lbs, 5'6") but I loved it anyways and was still incredibly flattering. I wore it with 2.5" block heels and the length was perfect. The arm holes got a little irritating toward the end of the night, but I also dance with my arms raised a lot. Loved it anyways and would definitely recommend.

I originally rented this for my daughter's wedding but chose a different dress and regretted it ever since. I rented this a second time to wear to a gala and still regret not wearing it for my daughter's wedding! About the dress: There is no give in this fabric, so don't try to squeeze into it. Also, I have small boobs - a more endowed woman will not do well in this. Strapless or stick-on chicken filets work well. Easy to walk in - TONS of compliments. I wore 3 inch heels with the 10L and probably could've done better with the 10R. I highly recommend this one.

I absolutely LOVED this dress! I ordered the size 12 and 14, but only received the 12. Lucky me, it fit perfectly. I had intended on wearing shapewear but it was so hot out I didn't need to. I loved the lacy high neckline because it was modest without being dowdy. The fit was like a slight mermaid, which I've never worn but now think I should more often. It was very easy to sit through a long multi course dinner in and hit the dance floor after.

The dress was absolutely gorgeous. A snug fit but luckily had a VERY sturdy zipper! I was able to wear a black, spaghetti strap body shaper underneath, which was helpful because at 56 years old, without a bra, the dress had a more matronly look. The underlying of the dress is black, so the shaper simply looked like a part of the dress. I felt great in this dress! Note that the floral design, unlike the dress in the website photo, is very much arranged in a horizontal pattern. I am 5'5" , rectangular body type so was a bit worried about the waist being too small, since there is absolutely no stretch to the dress, but it was a perfect fit!

The fit was PERFECT! It is snug but hugs all the right places. Compliments, I wore to an indian reception and the Wow's I received! Were well worth it! I didn't have formal indian attire so with the bride's sister blessing I went with this and I was sooo happy with it.

At 20 weeks, I was nervous that this wouldn't fit, I sized up and it did! I wore this for the holiday gala at work and I received so many compliments on the dress alone! Even though I was certainly showing, many people were so focused on the dress that they didn't even realize I was pregnant lol! I felt so glamorous! Definitely recommend!

I wanted a classy and elegant look for a Great Gatsby themed black tie event. This dress proved to be a perfect fit in more ways than one! I am short (4' 11"), thin, but curvy. The 2R fit like a glove. Plus, the cut allowed me to wear a racer back style bra. I find strapless bras very cumbersome, so this was a huge benefit. I looked and felt priceless. I received compliments all night!

Fit perfectly to my body shape, and a stunning dress for the occasion!

This dress is absolutely amazing. Pictures truly don’t do it justice. The embroidered gold overlay is elegant without being too flashy but you really can’t see how pretty it is from a photo. My regular size 4 wasn’t available so I wore the backup size 6. It was a little big in the hips but the cut of the dress hid that, and the top was very comfortable (I’m broad shouldered with no hips so I have a tough time fitting into dresses in general). The length was a little long, I had to pick it up when I walked because it kept catching on the crystals on the back of my shoes but not a big deal. I felt like a princess in this dress and received tons of compliments. This one will definitely not disappoint!

This dress runs a little small. I'm a 8/10, and the 10 fit perfectly. Very comfortable, worn with a strapless black bra. Danced and moved around without a problem. Highly recommend.

Wore this for our Christmas party and I got so many compliments! The arms are cut in a bit which shows that little bit of "arm pit" chub, so be warned. I usually wear a size 10 dress in Calvin Klein and most brands that would be similar. I sized up based on other reviews and I'm glad I did. I wore the size 14L. I'm 5'4" and wore 3" heels. The dress just hit the floor, which I thought was perfect.

This dress is just as gorgeous in person!! I rented two dresses for this wedding and although I didn't end up wearing this one I still have to say how amazing this dress is!! I'm 5'4" 127lbs and my measurements are 34bust, 28waist, 37hip and the 0L fit amazing in my 4" heals! I like dresses long so your feet don't show (just my personal preference) I could have also don't the regular length but I love length! I also fit in the 2 but the 0 fit like a glove, made me feel glamorous, and hugged all the right places!

The dress was gorgeous. It fit well, and I got lots of compliments. The gold really stands out and makes the dress stunning. I am barely 5'7 which is inbetween the regular and long length and with not super high heels, the long length was perfect. I wore the dress for about 7 hours and at the end of the evening, I had red marks on the front of my shoulders from the dress so that was slightly uncomfortable, but not so much that I would not wear it again if I wanted too.

This dress was for a black-tie wedding. It fit perfectly and was beautifully constructed. The long was a little too long, but I'm not sure if the R would have been enough ... still, it was not a problem. I got tons of compliments!

6L would have been perfect, but my hips and rear end refused to comply. Using safety pins I reduced the waist gap in 8L and kept it moving. I think for the average body type, this dress will run true to size. just Fabric feels great on body. Not much stretch in fabric, but I still managed to enjoy a few songs on the dance floor. I'm 5'10 and with my 3.5inch heals, the dress fell perfectly, resting about a 1.4inch from ground. you can get away with wearing straps in this dress, but I recommend going strapless. If I weren't a Graduate Student, and thus broke, I would purchase this dress at once. In case I am not being clear, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND RENTING THIS DRESS.

I love this dress! I've rented the blush and the navy as well and they all fit like a glove! They're a good length with 2.5-3" heels but is okay with flats (getting ready, dancing, etc). Comfortable to sit in, walk in, and dance in! It felt like effortless glamour! Like, I put this dress on and I felt taller and really at my best instantly. I wish this dress came in even more colors, because I would definitely rent those too!!

Loved this dress! Very comfortable and easy to dance in, it is incredibly flattering as well! You won't be able to wear a normal bra with it because of the sheer back, but can wear an adhesive bra. I received compliments all night as well and this dress was stunning!

This was my first Rent The Runway. I needed an elegant dress for my daughter’s wedding. I am a petite person (5’3, 121 lbs) and ordered size 2 and 4. I could have worn both dresses just fine. Size 4 was a slightly looser fit and a little bit longer. I decided to wear size 2 as it hugged my figure beautifully. The slightly shorter length was perfect, since I was able to wear comfortable shoes with a shorter heal. I wore a strapless bra but a regular bra would have worked as well. I was very happy with my first Rent The Runway experience. The reviews were very helpful during my selection process. I highly recommend this service and will definitely rent again when the occasion arises.
