I wore this dress with sandals at a day time event. I could have used a long, if I was planning on wearing hills.

This dress was perfect! I rented it for my birthday dinner at the Eiffel Tower in Paris and it was just right! I normally wear an 8 or a 10 and I think either worked in this case, but a ling was def necessary. I ended up wearing the 8L, it fit well and was the perfect length with short heels. I am 5'7". The dress was snug so i was able to wear it without a bra, it was plenty supportive and i am a 34DD.

I wore this for my prom, and I felt so beautiful! I got so many compliments, and I was the only girl with a dress like this. The material is nice, and the mesh on the stomach is very on trend! I chose to get a 6R and an 8R because I wasn't sure which one would fit me, and the 8R was perfect. I am 5'2 3/4", to be exact, and I wore 4 inch heels with the dress and it brushed the ground at the absolute PERFECT length. I definitely recommend this dress!

Pros: Stunning dress, even more intricate in person. Received many compliments. Cons: 1. The one I received was fairly worn and starting to pill in areas. 2. It runs small AND short. I'm just under 5'6" so I ordered the standard size and it barely hit the top of my feet. I was disappointed that I couldn't wear heels to a gala and I found it challenging to find cute enough flats that were appropriate for the event. It was rather tight in the bust even in the larger backup size that I ordered.

Gorgeous dress. Elegant, nice details. I'm only 5'3" and the length was good. It is slim in the torso and chest area. That worked well for me because I'm pear shaped, but if you are relatively larger on top you may need to size up or skip this style.

Beautiful dress that fit like a glove. I wore it to a charity gala. It was a little hard to see the embroidery details during a nighttime event with dim/mood lighting, but I still got compliments. If you have a bigger bust, wear it with a black strapless bra: another color may peek through the netting in the midsection. I'm 5'7" and the 4R just brushed the ground in flats. If available, I might have gone with the 4L for my heels.

I wore this dress for a unique Old City Philly wedding held just before Halloween. The dress has a dark edgy vibe to it, but looks so classy. What surprised me was how COMFY it was. I'm not kidding when I say it's the most comfortable I've ever been wearing a dress. I swear you could sleep in it (but resist the urge!). I'm 5'5" and 110lbs and the size 0r fit like a glove, not tight just perfect. I recommend a sticky bra with it because the back is sheer.

The long length is required for anyone over 5'5" and the 10L was snug, but RTR had a 14R for emergency back up. It was loose but looked amazing. Because of the rich embroidery, no jewelry is required to complete this look:)

This dress is so well made and feels incredible. There is no stretch in the mid- upper section so I did feel a bit constricted because I picked a size to fit my lower half- I am usually an 8, so wearing a 10 and finding it snug was a bit surprising. I would not have gotten a size up, though because the rest of the dress fit perfect. The lace detail is so unique. Tons of compliments.

Fits true to size - given that marchesa runs small. I'm usually at 10 in normal everyday clothes and I wore the 14R. Perfect length - I wore 2 in heels and was comfortable all Night. The fabric is stretchy just enough to be comfortable. Felt the most elegant at my graduation ball!

Rent this dress. Find an occasion and do it - it's fantastic! The regular length was great for me at 5'8" wearing not too high heels. Super comfortable and fits beautifully.

Rented this dress for an Indian wedding (the temple portion). The teal accents were bright and detailed. The fit was perfect, a little bit smaller than I expected on the waist area but, I would say would fit someone who wears a standard 4. I'm 5'4", with low heels, the hem reached the ground.

We rented this for mom for a wedding. She is very petite. Only 4'11" and weighs 83 lbs. Basically, she's a skinny stick. We rented a 0R (as in zero). The fit was a little loose, but looked great on her. The color was good for her and she said it was comfortable. The length was too long so we had to tape up the hem. I was happy we got this for her to wear.

I have never worn a more glamourous, unusual and vibrant dress. Not only did I feel proud to wear this dress, I felt honored. It felt snug and fit me like a glove. It breathed well and I received a ton of compliments.

This dress was spectacular, and super comfortable!!! I ordered the size 2 with a 0 as my backup, based on others' reviews. The 0 fit absolutely perfectly, it was like it was custom made for me. I am 5'9, 122 lbs, with a very small bust. I received many compliments throughout the evening. I paired it with a pair of simple black stilettos, which worked great together. Really loved this gown, so happy this is the one i chose! Delivery and return were efficient, simple, and everything arrived on time!

The dress I had originally chosen arrived damaged, so I went to the RTR store in Georgetown to find a replacement. It isn't my size or usual style, but decided to try it on anyway and I'm so glad I did. I'm not usually a fan of anything midriff, but in this dress it's relatively conservative and very tasteful. My measurements are 36-28-40 (140 pounds) and the 10L was a bit loose, but very comfortable for dancing. I'm 5'7" and the dress was the perfect length with 3.5" heels. I wore another Marchesa gown the following night in a size 6L, which was snug in the shoulders but still looked great and fit because it was sleeveless. A standard strapless bra worked great. I loved wearing this dress and felt wonderful all evening.

I wore this dress to a wedding and it was perfect. I ordered the 4R and 6R because the reviews were about 50/50 for people my size. The 4 fit, tightly in the chest and arm/shoulder area. I decided to wear the 6 because it was slightly longer and had more room in the arm/shoulder area...which made me feel more comfortable dancing in. The 4 is definitely wearable, it's just tighter if that's what you like! I also really liked how this dress barely touched the floor -- great for dancing in...

I have never attended a traditional Indian wedding and was too hesitant to attempt to wear a sari, so when I found this I had to try it! I rented a 0R and it fit great! I wore comfy heels, 2-3inches and am 5'4", didnt have a problem walking or dancing! The detail work has held up well through many rentals, the sleeves fit my scrawny arms too! I was concerned they would be too big and loose-looking. And though they are mesh, still kept my slightly warmer for a wedding at the end of November. I was also able to wear a regular nude bra without noticing. Bonus!

This dress was sent as my back up (my first choice was a lot cheaper - so I wasn't expecting to have such a gorgeous option in its place). I couldn't have been more pleased with it. I think it was a showstopper - elegant, comfortable, unique, fairly modest and the quality of the dress - FANTASTIC! I am petite, but still pear shaped so it was a pinch loose around my waist, but fit perfect everywhere else. I'm also a shorty and had to wear 3" heels but it was all worth it. I know I didn't pay to rent it for it's normal price but after wearing it, I'd say it's worth every penny of it's original price. I highly recommend this dress - it's my favorite formal gown I've ever worn aside from my wedding dress. :)

My cousin told me about RTR and I was not disappointed. I rented a 10 because a 12 wasn't available but I went with the 14 anyways. The dress was beautiful, I was able to move freely and received lots of compliments. I ended up wearing higher black Spanx and no one could tell the difference. Very pleased with the whole experience. Will be using RTT again

I planned to rent a bunch of dresses as part of my unlimited plan a few months ahead of my first black-tie wedding to find something that would fit me right, hide my belly, and not drag on the floor. This was my second and I hung onto it as part of my unlimited subscription until the wedding because I didn't want to risk not being able to rent it at the time of the event. I am 5'1", have a full chest, am self-conscious about my belly, and wanted to avoid satin, tulle, and beadwork – this dress hit all of the right marks for me. With 3 inch heels, this dress just skimmed the floor perfectly. The sleeves and embroidery added sophistication and elegance which I was looking for. The a-line cut of the skirt was flattering on my mid-section, and felt like a full gown but wasn't overpowering on my short stature. I ended up having to wear a regular black bra, and with my hair down you couldn't notice the straps in the top mesh area. Having forgotten to buy a new strapless, I had tried no bra, but if I raised my arms people would get a peek of underboob so that wasn't an option. I opted for no necklace/earrings – just a gold bracelet. Shorter girls looking for an elegant gown that is flattering on the mid-section but still sexy should consider this dress!

The dress is gorgeous. The colors are so flattering, hard to capture in photos, but beautiful in pictures. It is extremely elegant with a bit of spice. It was super flattering, my only complaint is I couldn't raise my elbows above shoulder level due to the fabric. So many compliments! Definitely recommend going long for this one if you're tall at all, it just touched the ground in bare fit. I also think it'd probably fit tight for larger chests.

This dress was everything. I felt amazing and it fit incredibly well and had just enough give in the mesh overlay to be comfortable. I am 5'7" and the eight Long was perfect with heels, and ultimately even with flats.

I typically wear a 2-4 so I got both sizes and the 2R fit like a glove and was still easy to move around in. I'm 5'2 and weigh 118 lbs with a 32A chest.

I ordered the 6R and the 8L, since some people in the comments were saying that even the regular ran long. I'm 5'9" and didn't want to wear heels. I'm not sure if other reviewers think they are taller than they actually are, but the 6R was definitely short on me. I could have worn a 6L, but the 8L fit very comfortably. The dress seemed to be in pretty good shape, and I found it comfortable for dancing! I also got many many compliments on this dress.

I absolutely loved this dress! This was my first RTR experience, and I couldn't have picked a better dress. I wore this to a sorority formal event, and I got so many compliments. I ordered a 2R as my primary size, but ended up sizing up to the 4R. The 4R was a little looser in the waist, but fit better in the arms. If you prefer to have a little more range of motion in the arms, I would suggest sizing up. Another reason why I went with the 4R was due to a split seam at the neckline, but I was just being picky. Shipping and returning was a breeze. I would highly recommend using RTR, especially getting this dress!

This dress was just lovely. I am 5'6" about 145lbs and wore a size 4R in order to wear with flats. I could have gotten away with heels but I am not a heel type of gal and the length was perfect - no stepping over the dress at all! I was also able to go bra-less which for me is definitely a plus! I wear about a size 34/36 B and the dress would have fit fine with a bra but it was also form fitting enough that it didn't look bad without one. The dress was so comfortable, whether it was sitting, standing, or dancing. It fit pretty snug around my shoulders but I didn't feel restricted at all moving my arms around - great for dancing! It was a little pricey IMO, but I am so glad I got it and very happy with my experience - I would recommend anyone to try this dress!
