great dress! got tons of compliments. if you are not well-endowed you will need some sort of backless/strapless bra. Color is so fantastic. more bronze than gold. The one issue I had is that I wore sandlas with rhinestones on the strap and the tulle got caught in that a lot. I am 5'5 and the length was fine.

As a short person I was looking for a long gown that didn't overwhelm me. This gown is perfect. The details are beautiful. The back is open so you can't really wear a bra. I would have liked it a bit more fitted but it did work.

I love that this dress is neither trendy nor reflective of a specific period of time - it stands on its own as a unique, interesting piece. The BACK is SO cool! I'm 5'5" and wore 3" heels and the length was perfect. Could have wore 2" heels if needed. Get yourself some strappy gold heels and a gold clutch to complete the look! (Can't wear a bra with it because of the back mesh design, so keep that in mind if that's a dealbreaker for you. Super comfy overall but no built-in chest support).

In the photos online this dress looked purple and gold but in person it is more navy and bronze. Still very beautiful but different than expected. Wore this to a black tie optional wedding and received multiple compliments

This dress fit me perfectly. (5'7", 125lb, 34D). Wish I could've purchased it! I felt Cinderella-ish all evening, comfortable, easy to move, fun, and any heel height would do. Many compliments.

I was receiving compliments before even walking into the event, and felt stunning in this dress. The shipment arrived at my house several days before I expected it, and returning was really easy as well. I am 5' 3, 115 lbs and wore a 0R. The sleeves were the most restricting part of the dress. I wore 3 inch heels and did experience some difficulty with the lace getting caught on the heels, but overall a great experience. Would definitely rent again!

Definitely size up for this one. I'm normally a size 2 but luckily I knew Marchesa ran small, so I ordered a 4R and just to be safe, a 6R. The 6 fit perfectly.

I loved this dress so much I bought it! I can't even brag enough about how great this dress it! When I put it on it instantly made me look thinner, which is always a win. The material was flowy and elegant. The stitching of the flowers was like a work of art!! All the layover of tulle and lace made it so much more unique and it's even mor gorgeous in person!

Loved this dress! Very elegant and fits well, hides the tummy so you can eat with room. Dress is a little long for short people, I wore 4" heels and it dragged very slightly

Loved this Marchesa high low gown for a formal Military Ball! I'm on the petite side and this dress was the perfect fit and length. The gold floral detail is gorgeous in person and it was easy finding shoes to accent the details!

The dress had a great fit, was not too tight or too loose. The arms were a bit small, however. I had lots of compliments and many asks on where I had purchased! Rented, baby!

Fit great-loved the length. I am 5'2" and wanted the "hi-lo" because I was skeptical about rented a full length gown because of my height. This worked wonderfully. Undergarments worn was a strapless one piece spanx with bustier.

I fell in love with this dress the moment I saw it on RTR and it did not disappoint. Wore it to a black tie work event and it was perfect - tons of compliments. Fit true to size and incredibly comfortable. Slightly too long in the back, but not so long that I felt a need to hold it or was scared of stepping on it/tripping on it when walking inside (with three inch heels). This was my first RTR experience and the only disappointing thing about it was that I had to send this beautiful dress back!

I needed a strapless bra for this dress, and the chest felt a little small. It was also a tiny bit long, even after wearing 3 inch heels. A petite size might have been too short though. Overall, it fit well and was very comfortable! I wish I could keep this dress!

The dress was comfortable and true to size. The length was almost too long, even on the petite. I am 5'2" and wore 2.5" heels and the hem just touched the ground in the back. The high-low hem was a great choice, but I still had to be careful not to catch my heel in mesh. I could not wear a regular strapless bra with this. The strap showed through the sheer back. I had to add an extra strap to make the bra go lower. Overall, I felt beautiful and got tons of compliments!!

Very comfortable, yet elegant. It got lots of compliments and was easy to dance in. Best to wear a wedge because there is a mini train in the back and heels can get caught.

This dress is one of the most beautiful I’ve worn. I had 4 random women approach me at the wedding I attended, telling me how amazing I looked! The dress is unique and truly grabs attention. The lace overlay on the upper bodice is flattering and super classy (be aware that it’s see-through in the back, so you’ll probably want stick-ons). The color is a rich purple/blue that I’d imagine complements many people. And the skirt is flowy and elegant, perfect for dancing. My normal size (6) wasn’t available so I went with the 4, and while it was maybe a tad snug, it looked great and was totally comfortable all evening. (I have a smaller upper frame and sometimes take a 4, so if you’re in that boat, you’ll probably be fine.) Overall, I couldn’t be happier with this dress, and the pictures do NOT do it justice.

The dress is beautiful and got lots of compliments. It is much more of a deep blue color than appears in the photos, but that's fine, and the gold leaf made it feel really special. The open back is also very pretty and makes this not at all matronly. The dress fits pretty true to size, perhaps a little loose. Would recommend maybe going down for a backup size, as it definitely looks better when it's close fitting. I wore the dress with 3 inch heels and the length worked well. The lace at the bottom can catch on things -- when I got the dress, it had debris caught in the bottom from the last person, who apparently wore it outside. The lace was also a little bit ripped there, but after I cleaned it up you couldn't see any issues when wearing it. Overall was great and would rent it again!

I loved this dress- it is so gorgeous as well as comfortable and I wore it for 10 hours at a black tie wedding. I wore 3" heels and the back hem was a bit too long, but it was easy to walk up and down stairs and also dance in it. I wore a NuBra as the lace in the back is see through. Highly recommended!

The fit was PERFECT. I was worried it would be too long in the back but it wasn't. Skimmed the ground and I'm short- 5'3"!! I received so many compliments on the dress and I am so so so glad I rented it. Now if only I could keep it... the color looked more purple in the photo but it's really almost navy. Just very elegant and classy. Have someone help you with the zipper because there's no way to do it yourself. :)

This dress was fabulous. I wore 2 inch heels and felt the length was perfect. This dress fit like a glove. I didn't mind the sheer back because my bust is small. I wore pasties and it worked great for me. I received so any compliments on this dress, it was stunning. I would wear it again!

Fit is easy, the back is a little long for me- 5'4 wearing 2 inch heels? This was my back up dress, and I was super pleased. It is a little matronly, but I decided call it elegant instead.

This dress is absolutely beautiful! I felt amazing in it and got so many compliments. It's not thin material and I was able to wear it for a winter wedding in Utah without freezing my buns off. It is not stretchy at all and pretty true to size. I'm 5'6 and was between 155lbs and 160lbs and was able to fit perfectly into a size 8.

I rented this dress for my mom for a charity gala. She LOVED it and received so many compliments! She's in her 60's and is 5'5" ~125 lbs. She wore the 4R.

Fit is true to size. The high-low hem is beautiful, and I received a ton of compliments, but if you are average to short in stature, your heels will catch on the train of this.

I loved this dress. I've never gotten so many compliments..it's a showstopper. Everyone said I looked stunning and I got rave reviews from everyone. Fit like a glove. Only gripe is that it's very hard to wear a normal bra with it because it's illusion on top so I wore a nude bra and you could kind of see it. If you have short hair or an updo it would be noticeable, so you'd need a strapless backless bra.

The photos (both Rent The Runway's and mine) don't do justice to this dress, especially the skirt. It is lacy and romantic and beautiful. There are several layers to this dress, which made it look/feel even more glamorous (and expensive!) I wore 1 size larger than I usually wear and I was very comfortable the whole night. I think I might have motivated some new RTR customers when I told them where I got my dress!
