So I'm truly a 4L but apparently the 4L was returned damaged so I had to wear my backup which was a 6L. Because of this it was a little loose and I had to keep pulling it up. Otherwise it was absolutely perfect. It's a beautiful material and was the perfect length for me- I'm 6'1". Would rent again in a 4!

Felt like a princess

I decided to go with the 2P due to the length, but it was much more snug in the chest - I didn't have to wear any support because of this. Everyone stopped me to compliment me on the dress that I rented for a formal wedding. The dress is a little heavy and the bust poked me by the end of the night. My strappy heels also kept getting stuck so I had to be careful when walking to hold the top layer of the dress. But it was a dream!

The fit was good. I'm size 10 or 12 depending on the dress so I was a little worried about the 10L not fitting and it was tight but not too tight at all. I didn't have to wear a bra with it and I'm a 38C. I would've gotten the 10R instead of the 10L if it was available but I think the 10R would've actually been too short. I'm 5'7", I wore 3 inch heels, and the dress was just like 1/2 an inch to an inch too long. Some people said the boning dug into their skin, but I didn't have any issues like that. It was a great dress for a great night!

I am a 36B and needed a strapless bra to fill in the slight gap at the top. Body fit perfect for my tall torso. The dress is heavy, fashion tape at the top was helpful. I am 5'8 and weigh 133 lbs. I wore 2 inch heels to manage the length of the 6L. I have a slender build with an average waist size. In jeans I wear a 4/6.

It fit snugly across the bust but not uncomfortable as I could still breath.

I wore this to my law school's Centennial gala and I was very happy with my choice. It was very classy and looks even better in person. I usually wear a 4P/2P and while the 4P was a bit large on top, I don't think the 2P would have been better because the 4P otherwise fit perfectly. I'm 5'2 and wore this with some high heels and it was the absolute perfect length.

I felt like a million bucks in this dress. I was 10 weeks postpartum and worried about everything. It fit great. I'm 5 foot and wore 4 inch heels. The dress has a weird built in support thing for being so heavy and strapless. The fabric is rich and amazing. It's almost as thick as upholstery fabric. Highly recommend!!!

Get a size down cause it's kinda big . Loved it and would rent again

rented this for our maternity pics & couldn't be happier! had to manipulate the dress a bit because the long torso didn't quite work for my 34 week bump like it would normally, but it was gorgeous! the dress is heavy and thick so perfect for a chilly day! don't be afraid to rent even though it's not "bump friendly" -- the dress worked out incredibly well just by adjusting the top a bit!

I received so many compliments at the wedding. It fit great and I felt amazing!Perfect for a black tie wedding or event!

I rented the 2p and the 4p because the regular sizes were not available. I was worried they would be short on me, but they were both perfect even with heels. I went with the 2p because it fit my flat chest better. I'm 5'6, 130lbs, and size 34A. The color was some where between pink and purple, it has little clear sequins that couldn't be seen unless inspected up close, but they caught the light perfectly. The dress was thick and heavy so prepare to sweat if you're going to be outdoors. All in all I got so many compliments on this dress. I wish I could have kept it.

I'm 5'2" and about 120 lbs. The 2R was a great fit for the bodice but was a tiny bit long with heels. The 4S was a good length but too loose around the chest area (I would have had to pull it up all night). I went with the 2R and it was a great choice. The dress was gorgeous and the sequins were very subtle. It's pretty heavy and hangs beautifully. I got tons of compliments. Definitely a great choice!

Love that it has a double zipper, one in the inside and then outside. Super light feel, had to pull it up every so often since I don't have the chest to really fill it. Typical problem with a strapless dress though so I'm not surprised. Beautiful blush color

Our lovely bride let us choose our own bridesmaid dresses as long as it was blush in color and long in length (it was a winter wedding.) Everyone told me how lovely the dress was, and I threw a trenchcoat over it for travel purposes. Easy to move in, not heavy like I thought it would be and it stayed up all night! Highly recommend.

Usually a street size 4, the 6 was a perfect fit. Just runs a smidge too small for my athletic build. 34C chest, 135 lbs 5'5" Nice flow, wore 3 inch heel and the length was perfect.

This dress fit so well, perfect for my pear size body. I was a bridesmaid in an outdoor wedding and the dress held up very well all day in heat and even a late rain fall! It is a heavy dress cause the quality is so good but it didn't bother at all. The dress is so much better in person, dress highly recommended!

I love this dress! It looked so beautiful for my wedding day!! Still getting complements and no one could tell it was rented (although I did brag about it!) I'm a true pear shape and it was definitely flattering for me highlighting my smaller waist and bust. Highly highly recommend!!! And it was heavy and hot but I survived the hottest heat wave of the year so don't let that deter you.

I'm 5'10, 150lbs but carry most of my weight in hips and butt so this dress fit perfect in the 4L. After reading everyone's reviews I decided to order the 8L because people were saying it runs very small, not the case if you are slender through your ribs and chest. The people at RTR were so helpful and over nighted the 4L it arrived just in time for the wedding on Saturday. I received so many compliments it was definitely the perfect dress for the evening.

I accidentally rented 10L instead of regular length so it was a bit long on me. Dress fits perfectly. I'm 5"7 and 165lbs since the baby, this dress was so perfect and flattering. It's comfortable, easy to move in. Received numerous compliments all night.

Everything about this dress was perfection. The photo doesn't show but it has small sequence seen in as well all through out and it was just SO beautiful. The lining is amazing and no special undergarments necessary. Fits like a glove. The only flaw I would say is right on the belly of (one of the dresses) was a gap of no flowers. Which is unflattering due to the illusion it makes. So I wore the other size which did not have that. Maybe it was just that one specific dress (hopefully). I had just had a baby a month before and I still felt as great in this dress :) I would buy it if it was available and would totally consider renting it again.

I rented this dress for our engagement photos and it photographs so beautifully. The dress was incredibly comfortable and was well-made. The only issue I had was that it was too long for me (petite wasn't available) and it felt a little heavy (small price to pay cause it's so pretty). Other than that, I loved it and would totally rent it again!

Gorgeous dress!! The material is extremely detailed and fabulous!! My only complaint is that the boning of the dress digs into your sides and was really painful... but the dress was totally worth it!

The dress was a true "long" as I had to wear kitten heels and I'm nearly 5'11". You must have small bust to wear this dress in my opinion. I got 100 compliments!

Absolutely stunning gown. I received so many compliments on it. The size 0 fit like a glove (having the boning and extra zipper inside was key)- it stayed put all night. I received a lot of compliments on the dress. It's made really well and in fact is a little heavy, so towards the end of the night I did find myself pulling it up some. But, the pink is a nice soft pink and the lace is beautiful. I'm tall being 5'8'', but the regular fit in length perfectly with heels.

The dress fit well everywhere. The only con was that part of the boning was digging into my back. Overall, a great dress!

I wore this dress for my sister's wedding- i was the maid of honor and it was perfect- formal, but not too showy and flashy. wish i could've kept this dress forever, its so beautiful!

I wore the two instead of the zero so I had to wear a bra under the dress (it still slipped a little, but the zero was too fitted to be comfortable on the beach). This was my replacement dress when RTR let me know my first choice was unavailable- honestly I think this one turned out even better than the original.

The boning was a little bent in this gown, so it did poke me a bit. Otherwise it was a good fit for my figure.

The dress was absolutely stunning. The peachy color and level of detail in the dress was beautiful! It was perfect for the formal wedding I was attending. I felt great, and received numerous complements (which also made me feel great)! The dress was quite heavy, as others have mentioned, but very much worth it in my opinion. You can't go wrong here - it is Marchesa after all.

Beautiful gown! Like others have said, the material is much heavier than it looks, and there are multiple layers and two zippers in the back. I am short (5'1) and was able to manage with 3 inch heels. You can see in the picture it dragged just a bit. True to size. Probably not a great option for girls with a larger chest.

I wore this in my best friend's wedding as her moh. The dress is beautiful with little sequins sewn into the fabric. I didn't wear a bra with it since i was too busy in it for a church wedding. It was fun to twirl around in on the dance floor. I accessorized it was chandelier earrings and had hair flowers. Loved it!

I wore this dress to a summer wedding. I'm typically a size 4 and rented a size 4 but I was a bit worried because a lot of designer gowns are made smaller. It was bit tight but nothing I couldn't handle plus it helped keep my breasts in place. Overall I would say its pretty true to size. It also has boning that adds support. I'm between 5'4"-5" in height and I wore 4" heels and the dress was perfectly sweeping the floor. My only complain is that as expected, the material is pretty heavy so it just gets tiring and hot to be wearing it around during a mid summer day, however I received tons of compliments so it was totally worth it!

It fits extremely well. I recommend it for an hourglass body type. You definitely need to be busty to fill it out. The support is great I didn't even need to wear a bra! Love, love this dress!

I loved this new style! In person it's this very elegant lace with sequins embroidered into it, and it is a very true blush color. It had a double zipper in the back, one for the lining and the other for the back of the actual dress with a clasp at the top. The material is definitely on the heavier side, so I would not recommend this style if you will be in a very hot location, or outdoors in the summer. This will work better for smaller busts, because it is very fitted at the top and I would have to recommend sizing up if you are more chesty. Big busted ladies, beware! This will not be very comfortable if you have a bigger bust. You can wear a strapless bra if you have room, but otherwise, I do not think it needs one! Gorgeous color!

This gown is amazing. I ordered this for a photoshoot but didn't end up wearing it. I'm 5'2" so I was expecting the 2 long to be rather long and it definitely was. What surprised me was how thick and heavy the material is. There are three layers to the gown skirt and two layers to the bodice, with two zippers and a boned corset. It gives you a great shape. What you can't really tell from pictures is that there are actually mini sequins sewn into the lace. Marchesa never disappoints. I wish I had an event to wear this gown to because I love it.
