Love the embellishments on the bodice of the dress! It was a little snug around the chest, but it felt secure all night!

I can usually wear either a 4 or a 6. Reading the previous reviews, I went with a 6 because others described the fit as small. There are actually two zippers to this dress: one that controls the bust fit, and another for the dress itself. The interior bust zipper was super helpful in ensuring a more custom fit up top, and I found the dress itself to run mostly true to size. I'd describe it as a small 6. It's fantastic if you're a girl who tends to carry weight in your hips or booty - the flare style completely disguises that. Also - because I was so frugal with the dress rental, I rationalized that some new shoes and a clutch were completely reasonable purchases ;-) I'm 5'4" and the length was perfect. Love this dress and got so many compliments!

The beaded detailing and full skirt of this Marchesa Notte dress is elegant yet unique! This dress is perfect for a black tie wedding when you want to opt for something other than a gown. It fits true to size, but works best for smaller busts since there is no stretch in the bodice. It hits about mini to mid-thigh length and has built in boning! You can wear a nubra or sticky bra, but its not needed!

This is a beautiful dress and it's a beautiful color as well. The embellishment on the dress makes it so that you really don't need much jewelry at all. I wore it with strappy silver sandals and it looked great. I did find that it runs a bit small. I am usually a 10 and had to go up two sizes. Of course, I have a large bust and wide back so it's always a crapshoot for me. The dress is also naturally short, so if you are short like me, it's actually perfect. It hit right above the knees.

The dress is very flattering, supportive, comfy and cute. It gives a great shape, and has built in bra/tube top thing inside. The fabric is thick and sturdy (and flaw hiding) and the sequins add a delicate feminine touch. The color is vibrant and flirty. It's got a real 80s feel. Great for a bachelorette, 80s party, bridal shower, or other fun event.

I was approached by complete strangers telling me how fabulous my dress was! I felt like this dress was made for me. I had to go a size up for length and the bust, but I was so comfortable all night. I didn't have to adjust or worry about it slipping. The dress also didn't wrinkle and the sequin details were the finishing touch. I wore this without much jewelry, as I felt sparkly enough wearing the dress alone. Absolutely loved!

This dress made me feel youthful. I'm tall so I was concerned it would be too short. It was definitely short, but not inappropriate. I kept my hair and accessories simple to off set the bi knees of the dress. I like the skirt of the dress and how it sort of balloons out. I wore silver open toed shoes. Fun and flirty overall!

So much fun! The internal corset in this strapless dress was perfect for dancing with no worry that the dress would slip It felt totally secure. I did baste the hem to make it a little shorter, which made the proportion better for my 5'5" frame. I received so many compliments. Would highly recommend!

Beautiful dress, gorgeous pink, and the details are amazing. Definitely runs small so order a size up but you will turn heads in this dress! No bra needed as it keeps everything in place! So happy with rental and received so many compliments at my 40th birthday party!

I am sooooooo in love with this dress!!! I really liked the 'bodice' that was on the inside before actually zipping up the dress... gave a ton of extra support and a bra was totally unnecessary. I felt the cut was flattering since I try not to draw too much attention to my hips. The length was perfect and above the knees. I loved the silhouette and the heavy high quality fabric. *Do not let condensation from your glass of water drop on this dress!!!* I got a ton of compliments and felt really good about myself. I would definitely rent this dress again!

I ordered a pink dress for my "all pink" birthday party. I had ordered another dress, but RTR being the amazing company they are - send me 2 other dresses because the other size I wanted for my original dress was not available. I was super impressed by all 3 dress but this one I absolutely fell in love with and new it was a winner as soon as I saw it!! It fit like a glove, and was the perfect length for my 6 feet figure. I would recommend not wearing a bra with this dress and it is snug enough and you don't need to worry about exposing your cleavage! I loved it so much it was hard to give it back!! Totally recommend!

I wore this to dinner for my birthday & out dancing after. It was super comfortable. I loved the flirty skirt (with a hidden layer of support to keep it poufed out a little) & the sparkly detail on the bodice.

I rented this for a wedding in Hilton Head. The wedding ceremony took place outside during the day but the reception was inside at night so I wanted something that would work for both settings. This dress was so fun and I received lots of compliments. The downside was the hem kept flipping up and the boning of the dress had broken through the fabric... nothing a few band aids didn't fix. The dress has definitely had its fair share of wears, but not enough for anyone else to notice! Overall, I'd recommend.

This is a beautiful dress. Unfortunately, I, unlike the other reviewers, did not feel like I had enough bust support. I ended up not wearing this dress to my event because as you can see in the photo, my chest was pulling the top down. I would have been adjusting it all night, so I decided to wear my backup dress. Loved this dress a lot, just didn't work great for my body type.

Gorgeous color, but a bit tight around the chest and waist, and I had to stick with the 6, because my backup 8 could not be sent.

The dress was awesome, although I would have been much better off sizing up (they didn't have it in stock). I felt a bit squeezed into this dress and the boning dug in, but other than how it felt, it looked great! Lots of compliments!

This was not the dress I originally rented. Both sizes of the one I rented (at different times) because unavailable. RTR sent me 5 options as a replacement. This was by far my favorite. It had a beautiful color and fit. I received so many compliments at the wedding. The material as thick and it was obviously high quality. I only had one problem with this dress, the boning was coming out of the corset top. It was seriously painful. I had to keep excusing myself during the wedding to wrap double sided tape around the edges of the boning so it wouldn't scratch me. By the end of the night my rib cage was rubbed raw and one part had a visible scratch. If I hadn't taped it the dress would have broken my skin. If this hadn't happened I would have given the dress five stars!

I am very petite and this dress was pretty short on me, I'd say mid-thigh. I felt like I got away with the length at a wedding because of the shape of the skirt (it wasn't short and tight just short) The bodice of the dress was well made but I would not recommend this if you are anything smaller than a full b cup as the boning in the bodice comes naturally curved and it would be difficult to keep up. My one complaint about this dress was that the lining was longer than the dress. I ended up pinning the lining up a few inches at the wait with safety pins so that it wouldn't show at the hem. The color on this dress is absolutely stunning and the sequin beading detail looks very high end and in line with what you would expect from this brand. PS - the flower crown was a late night addition that was given out at the reception....not an original part of my outfit haha!

If you are a C cup or above the dress runs small on top. I actually preferred the length and condition of the size 2 but I could not even zip it. I did feel that the boning of the built in corset was sticking out slightly at the waist and I kept pulling at it. I don't think anyone would have noticed but me. I would not have had this issue with the size 2 but I had to go with the 4. It was a bit wrinkled and the slip underneath was hanging out. Once I steamed it the dress looked so much better. If you don't own a steamer I recommend you get one they are life changing! This dress is young, cute and well made but not one of my favorites. The color and beading are very pretty and it was comfortable especially since I didn't have to wear a bra. It is a fun party dress.

The dress was beautiful. The fit superb. The color is stunning. No sticky zipper or tightness. Overall, it was a very comfortable fit. I loved the built in bra, pure genius! Now the downside... The dress is fraying at the hem and the hem kept flipping out to show it's ugly side. The seams on the bodice are splitting and there is also fraying on the bodice. Thankfully, the pictures do not show the fraying, but you could see it up close. I'm giving this dress 2 starts because this dress was not worth the $100 rental in the condition

the color and the structure of the dress is fantastic! even though i'm rather short it didn't overwhelm and was short enough to be a playful dress (hit a few inches above my knee). there is a built in bodice so no bra needed. the pink is a beautiful bright fuchsia and the detailing is great! the underlining was sticking out a bit when i tried it on out of the box, but i hung the dress up overnight and don't believe that will be an issue. if your bust is smaller and you don't have a large waist i would recommend sizing down for your back up. the dress isn't going to fall down on me, but i can tell if i got a size smaller it would hold onto me a bit better and stay up higher. no regrets at all renting this, i'm just thinking of when i can wear it again!

The neckline fit beautifully not showing too much. The low waist and hip area allow for movement. Fun party dress!

Pink is the new black! This dress is simply perfect if you are looking for the perfect (brighter version) to a little black dress. It runs tight on top, but I need help there, so if you are looking for a backup, I would size up. But great dress!

the dress is very pretty and the detail on the bodice is also very nice. the bustier is well made and hold well so you don't have to wear a bra. The dress though has an inside zipper which is a little torn and when the dress arrived it wasn't in condition to be worn. It needed professional steaming which for that type of fabric and detail cost $50!!! I would not have pick that dress if i had known the dry cleaner bill will be half of my rental. the dress when it is pressed properly is very elegant and fits great. I did get plenty of compliments.

The fit was snug, but not unbearable, however I am about a 38 C. For girls with larger girls, I would recommend sizing up! All in all beautiful vibrant color, but too short for our date location. I would recommend for any place you will be standing for the majority of the time.

The full skirt was more to the sides than I was expecting. I ended up wearing by backup dress. It's a gorgeous dress if you have the right occasion. I didn't feel comfortable wearing to a wedding because it was too flashy for my taste.

I am 5'2 and weigh 112 lbs I usually wear a 2 or 4. I ordered both sizes and neither worked for me. The top was slimming but the bottom of the skirt was longer and MUCH more full than I was expecting. Beautiful dress just not the right one for me

Wore this to an Indian wedding where it is tradional to wear bright colors as a guest. I usually wear a size 8, but this dress runs very small. I wore a size 12. Dress is very detailed on the front so I just wore a simple necklace with it.

The dress fit but I ordered it in a bigger size and I was glad I did. I wear a 38D bra size and in the beginning of the night it was terrific but as the night wore on gravity took over and I was constantly pulling it up. Also there are rigid nylon supports in the top of the dress and they were sticking out and pinched along the sides. I had to put a piece of tissue against my skin and that seemed to work. The hem also did not lay flat. But with all that being said, I loved the dress and if you want compliments on your dress, rent that one.

It fit perfectly! It was a little shorter than expected (length wise), but overall it was great. For a busty girl, make sure you have a great strapless bra or comfortable letting them lay as they may! :)

This is an absolutely beautiful dress. I received it as a replacement dress. However I couldn't wear it to my brother's wedding because it was too small across the rib cage. Definitely size up so you can wear this dress!

I really liked this dress but it was uncomfortably tight around my chest.
