I wear a 10 but ordered this in a 14 because it was the only size available. Good thing because it ran small but ended up fitting perfectly. I have a larger chest (38D) and had to get a special strapless bra with clear straps but they did not show at all. This is a gorgeous dress and I would rent it again!! (I miss it already.)

This dress....is amazing. Not everyone can pull of a color like this but if you have the right skin color you need not hesitate. I received compliments all night long with this dress! I weigh 134 and have a 34C and this size 6 was perfect. The dress itself doesn't have too much stretch too it but it is super comfortable and super sexy without showing too much skin! Everyone thought it was vintage. Navy blue silver gold or nude would look amazing with this.... I really loved wearing this and you will too! Get it girl. You're gonna love love love!

The fit was perfect. I wear a 36 DD bra and I had to wear a strapless bra and the dress fit perfect. I got compliments all night and day.

The color and detail in person is amazing. I was worried about the length being petite but it works for shorties. The bottom of the dress is a little tight but still able to dance the night away. Worth renting!

Many of these reviews say that you cannot wear this if you are pale - FALSE. As you can see in my pictures, I am as pale as they come, but my skin has cool undertones (I have blue eyes and ash-brown hair), which meant that this color (which I think of as a medium-chartreuse color) was amazing on me. I am almost always a 6, occasionally an 8, and am a bosomy, curvy gal - I wear a 34F, and have a 28" waist. The 6 fit like it was made for me - so much so that I got multiple questions on if it was actually made for me. I tried on the 8, but it was pretty loose in the waist and legs, which made the dress look frumpy and matronly. In the 6, I looked sexy, but not "$10 a dance" sexy. Busty gals need not be afraid - just wear a well-made strapless bra (read: not Target) and some Spanx (I wore the shorts ones) and everything will be alright. I couldn't believe how comfortable it was, either - the lining is baby-soft and the lace and netting didn't scratch my usually-sensitive skin. I was able to sit, stand, walk around, and eat an enormous meal, without feeling the slightest discomfort. I could not believe how many compliments I got in this - literally dozens. Men and women alike approached me all night long to tell me how gorgeous I looked and to ask me about my dress. In fact, when I stood up for my award, I heard a group of nearby people say, "Oh my God, look at her dress!" and crane their necks to look at it. I've included a picture of it close-up, to show the detail, and further away. Don't hesitate to rent this bad boy. It's even better in person, and incredibly easy to wear. The worst part of the rental was having to say goodbye to it this afternoon. Thanks, Rent the Runway - I'll be back!

I got a lot of compliments for the dress. The details was stunning but not too ostentatious. The 0 fit me perfectly. The skirt wasn't too fitted. I personally felt like it met my expectations.

This dress is stunning. It's pop of color is so unique - You can bet that no one else will have a dress quite like this! The entire dress is lace and softly beaded around the waist to give it a little sparkle. The sheer top extends to the back giving it a little modern edge. The dress itself is very flattering and comfortable. I tracked down the shoes worn by the model on heels.com and wore those with it. The silver metallic shoes made it a little more fun! I also wore diamond Jcrew earrings and that was it! This dress fit my roaring 20's theme party and I got compliments all night. absolutely LOVED this dress.

I wish I never had to send it back! I ordered a size 6 but I definitely could have went with the 4! If your thinking about ordering this dress.. Do it!

The dress was absolutely beautiful! Many reviewers commented that it runs large and to size down, which I did, but I ended up wearing my normal size because I have muscular shoulders and a broader chest. As a result, I could not close the back clasp on the smaller size. However, it really wasn't a problem because the waist was still pinched well and the only place the dress gapped a bit was in the bum. I felt the dress hit in a very flattering location at my knee, even though I'm on the shorter side (nearly 5'3"). The color was also beautiful and unique. Also, the dress was very comfortable (with a bit of stretch to it) throughout an entire day of wearing it through afternoon pictures and dancing until midnight. Also, even though I have fairly sensitive skin, the fabric was not itchy, as some lace and sequin stitching can be. Nothing but positive things to say about this dress.

Everything about this dress was sensational! The quality, cut, feel, presentation and comfort...all 5 stars. I wore this dress to a gala that I was helping to coordinate and although this dress is very tailored, it did not hinder me being able to move freely when I needed to. Typically I would have opted for a 0 but I was also about 3 months pregnant and feeling especially bloated. My chest had also grown a few cup sizes between the time that I placed the order and received the dress. The dress provided just enough stretch/room to accommodate my growing body. Looooved this dress!

I am 5'3", 128lbs and a 34D bust size. I usually wear a size 2 or 4 but only the size 0 was available so I decided to take a chance and I'm so happy I did. I read the reviews about needing a waist cincher and the dress fitting bulkier in some areas so I figured the size 0 may work. Such a beautiful dress--it fit beautifully and I received so many compliments. I found it easy to move in and not restrictive at all. I definitely recommend this dress!

The dress fit and was very comfortable. Pro was the gorgeous color and the detail work--minimal jewelry needed. Con would be the lack of give in the dress--little difficult getting into and out of the car but I wouldn't change a thing. It stood out in a sea of black party dresses and I loved it.

The dress was fabulous for a wedding. It is stunning and has a great amount of lace work that compliments a bride, without completely stealing the show. Initially, I was hesitant about the color, as a blond, but the yellow did not wash me out. It was also comfortable to wear and very simple to get on and off. It sat well and fit in a way that did not leave me thinking about my body or my appearance, freeing me to completely focus on the bride and groom, confident that I looked great.

I wore this dress for my sister's rehearsal dinner. The attire was dressy cocktail, and I was her maid of honor, so I wanted to make sure I looked very appropriate! I received so many compliments on it! I ordered a size 0 and a size 2. I went with the size 0 and it fit perfectly. The color is so unique and beautiful!! The length hits right at the knee and the beading at the waist is such a beautiful detail as well. I would absolutely rent this dress again, and I may try the other color next time!

I wore this dress for our engagement party. My fiance is Indian so I was looking for something that would fit in beautifully among the colorful saris. I came across this dress and had to look no further. The color is a wonderful mustard, perfect for an October party, and is so feminine and detailed with the lace and subtle beading. I wore a size 0 and it fit like it was customized for me (I am 32 - 24 - 33). I received compliments all night on the dress and was so happy with my choice. The dress is simply stunning!

I am usually a 8, but the 10 fit better for my 34D chest. The 8 fit well everywhere else , and I could have worn the size 8 if I didn't have a choice. The deep yellow color is unique, looks great on darker skin tones in my opinion. Liner material I felt was thin, then with lace overlay, showed every bulge but spanx solved the problem easily. Only complaint was that the two small hooks at neckline above zipper in back easily kept coming undone, and over course of evening, friends had to keep redoing them. For my height of 5'3", the dress came just below my knees. Danced in the evening without restriction at arms or shoulders.

The dress itself is very form fitting so you might want to invest in some shapewear like SPANX. I also wore a waist cincher in nude which helped a bunch. The details on the dress are lovely and overall dress, I felt very elegant and beautiful wearing it all night long!

I chose this to wear as maid of honor dress for an outdoor summer wedding and I could not have been happier with my choice. This dress is true to size. I ordered my usual size 2 and a back-up size 4- the size 2 was a perfect fit. The quality of the fabric is great and the details are beautiful. I specifically like that it has a nice lining. On the RTR website, the dress appears to be a sunflower shade of yellow, but in person it actually has a sort of greenish tint, which I didn't mind. It has a zipper and then a hook at the top- I had to have someone else hook it closed for me. I wore it with a strapless bra and champagne-colored pumps. The compliments were coming in all day and it was heart-wrenching to have to return it, but I think the next person to wear it might feel the same way.

The color was absolutely perfect for what I wanted, which was a fall wedding. The dress is so comfortable and flattering that it was easy to wear. Not only that, but the compliments were abundant. I typically wear a 4 in "regular clothes" and a 2 in dresses. The 2 fit perfectly, the 4 was a little baggy and not as flattering. Such a great experience from renting to wearing!

First off all , I saw this dress on your website and I said to my self this is the dress I want to wear to my friend wedding. I had to get it...SO GORDEOUS!!! I order two different sizes, 6 and 8, I normally wear a medium which is a size 6 for me, and for me the 6 fit perfect !! I love everything about this dress, the color was amazing, the dress was kind -of vintage looking to me, very pretty. I received so many compliments wearing this dress to an outdoor DC wedding. The color is a showstopper. It's such a hard color to describe since it looked different colors in different lights. So inside while getting ready, it was more of an olive green/mustard yellow. Then out in the sunshine, it was more of a goldenrod yellow/hint of green. Awesome color that you can pair with any color accessories (I went with navy accessories, and nude/gold shoes). Very comfortable, even in the 95 degree heat/humidity of DC in August. The beading and detail is amazing. The sheer section on top is very sheer, so you'll have to wear a strapless bra. I tried the see-through bra straps and you could still see them. The cap sleeves were a little annoying since you couldn't move as well, but they were still comfortable. Definitely not a dress you could wear to a reception, as there was no give in it at all. Overall, a wonderful dress for any occasion.

I wore this to a Black Tie wedding at a beautiful castle. The color is vibrant and can't be missed. The material is absolutely gorgeous and it screams elegance. I normally wear a size 4, but opted to wear the size 2 in this dress. The size 4 had a larger shoulder area and it slumped a bit, making it look matronly. The size 2 was tighter and a much better fit around the hips and shoulders. It was a very sexy look with the tight waist and sparkly waistband. In my second photo, you can see the back is open. I could NOT close this dress on my own as your arms cannot go above your head or you run the risk of ripping the delegate lace at the seams. (Size 4 probably would have been fine) I could wear a strapless bra without issue of it peeking through. I was fearful of not being able to pull up the skirt to use the restroom, but there is JUST enough room to do that. The material is not flexible. The lining is double sided and was never an issue. I would rent this dress again!

This was the first time I ever used RTR and I was very pleased. I was a bit worried about the fit because the only size available was a 10 and I can often range from an 8-12, depending on cut. The dress fit wonderfully but I do agree with other reviewers that this isn't a dress you want to dance the night away in, as it does not have much give in the delicate lace areas. I received so many compliments throughout the entire evening. The dress is stunning and the color is divine.

I ordered this dress for my brother's formal wedding. Unfortunately they only had one size available for that weekend, but I loved this dress so much I took a chance! I am nearly always a size 6, and this one fit true to size. I got compliments ALL night about this dress - complete strangers stopping me to ask where I got it from. I could never have afforded to buy this gown, which is why I love RTR! I highly recommend renting this dress for a formal event. I'm still getting notifications on FB and Instagram on this picture! The dress wasn't the mustardy color I was expecting, but as one review put it, almost a chartreuse...an olive-y yellow maybe. Regardless, it was all anyone could talk about at the black-tie wedding! The fit was great for a curvy size 6; maybe a tad roomy in the shoulders, but that was actually good for dancing. This was my first rental, and after how easy the process was and how fun it was to have such a standout dress, I will only be using RTR for all my special events!

I rented this dress (and the earrings) for my bridal shower. It was PERFECT. Beautiful detail and PERFECT fit. I am normally between a size 0-2 and the 0 fit like a glove. Not much give due to the ornate fabric so you're not going to be doing extravagant dance moves in this dress but it was perfect for my shower and would be perfect for a nice semi-formal/formal event where short dresses are appropriate. The color is really beautiful as well. I loved everything about it!

I saw this dress online and IMMEDIATELY fell in love. I have a hard time renting from RTR due to my size and some dresses are more matronly than I'd like to wear. I saw the navy blue version of this in person and loved the detail. I get the dress in the mail and no issue zipping it up. Fast forward to the night of the wedding. I am about to jump on the shuttle to go to the venue when the zipper opens. The teeth unraveled and without my extremely patient boyfriend, I don't know what I would have done without any back up and being out of town. It took us 15-20 minutes to fix it and used a safety pin to ensure the bottom of the zipper wouldn't do it again. Luckily, I was good for the rest of the night. I love RTR but I haven't had a stress free dress rental yet. Hoping the next one goes smoothly.

I'm most often a size 4. This dress looked pretty fitted, but despite recent junk food binges, I'm glad I sized down rather than up. The 2 ended up being ideal (with the help of a waist cincher). This Marchesa gown might work best for bustier ladies with smaller waists. While the 2 fit me like a glove below the bust line, it was too large in the shoulders/arms/chest. The nude overlay wrinkled up with movement and the folds took away from the elegance of the dress. The sleeves flared out just a touch too much. I don't have bony arms, so I can't imagine what it would look like on the super-petite. Fleshier-armed ladies can probably rock this better than others. I ended up not wearing this to the event because I noticed a small 1.5" tear in the lacy overlay fabric; while it wasn't noticeable at all, I was afraid that any movement would have caused it to expand. RTR was fabulous as always, and remedied the situation quickly and gracefully. While this dress is without argument GORGEOUS, it is also very delicate and movement restricting. As mentioned, I would recommend getting this in your regular size, but only if you are curvier on top and can fill it out so that it doesn't look quite as baggy. If I had worn it, I would have opted for the 2 to bypass the comically baggy top portion, but my stomach area/waist would have been happier in my usual 4. I'm still giving this dress five stars, though, because it is absolutely lovely and the color is luscious. If you have the right shape, it will probably be one of the best dresses you'll ever rent from RTR! Not a "get-down-and-dirty-on-the-dancefloor" dress, but great for standing around and feeling fancy. It'll work on short and tall ladies alike.

The color was very nice, and I would describe it in person as more of a chartreuse than a true yellow. The detailing is gorgeous, and the length was great (just hitting below the knee). I have wide hips, so this dress was a little tight in the thigh, as it does not have much give but anyone with smaller hips would be fine. I wore a size 10 and it was perfect for me.

I rented this gorgeous mustard-yellow dress for a vibrant Mendhi/Sangeet ceremony. The sparkles and asymmetry and amazing textures really worked for the occasion where I was surrounded by elegant and super shiny saris and other traditional festive attire. I particularly loved the raw edge lace and sheer combination along its very elegant neckline. Compliments galore!
