The only con is the tulle would get caught on my stilettos from time to time when walking and especially when I had to go down a staircase.

Worn for my engagement shoot. I loved it! The front went down to my shin area, and the back was long like a gown. The top was shear. Absolutely beautiful! So glad I had this for the shoot! The material is strong and comfortable. Not stretchy.

Loved the pockets and felt chic and comfortable. Didn't have to starve myself leading up to the event as it just fits nicely for people that don't want to show a ton of skin. Very chic and comfortable, would recommend for sure.

I'm 5'7" and wore the 4L. With my 2" heels the back just skimmed the floor. I had to lift up the back to walk upstairs, but otherwise it was comfortable and not in the way. Easy to dance in. By the end of the night the tulle around the arms was chafing, but not enough to be a bother. Dresses arrived in a bag, so have adequate time to steam and iron. The double layer tulle underneath took about 1 hour to steam and iron. I absolutely loved the pockets! And no one could tell. I had my flask, lipstick and mobile phone.

I chose this picture because of how it captured the shape of the dress. When caught in the wind, you felt so powerful. It was truly stunning. I loved the fabric, it was thick and felt expensive, which made me want to treat it with ultimate care. The beading was gorgeous, especially from afar, where it makes it look like you are wearing some beautiful necklace. It was comfortable, practical, and unforgettable.

Runs small...the zipper was jacked up, on my first trial it got stuck in the fabric. i had to take it to a tailor to replace zipper. RTR was very kind and supportive and promised to reimburse the expense. So it all worked out great!

Very lovely and elegant gown, and comfortable to wear. The bust was a little tight in both the size 2 (which fit better in length) and in the size 4, which I ended up wearing. I pinned the back of the neckline with a safety pin so it wouldn't gap in back. The high-low hemline was excellent-- I was able to wear fairly low heels and enjoyed being able to walk comfortably without worrying about tripping on the front of an overly long gown. The back of the gown trailed a bit, but that was okay-- like a small train-- and the underlining of black tulle gave the skirt attractive lift and volume. The illusion neckline was a very nice touch, and made the dress more comfortable than a fully strapless gown would have been.

I ordered 4L and 4R for back up. However, I was contacted by RTR staff saying 4L would not be available on the date of my event. Instead, they offered to ship a second dress with a back up size for free. I wore a 4"3 heel and 4R was slightly short. I got tons of compliments during the event. Thanks for making this a wonderful experience.

i was a little nervous about the dress just because some of the reviews said it was tight in the rib cage, but FEAR NOT, i'm a 36D gal and the dress fit like a dream. wore it to a black tie wedding in NYC and never felt more beautiful! classy, elegant and just timeless. compliments galore. beautiful dress!

I loved this dress when I saw it online and I loved even more when I tried it on. I wore it for my sorority's formal and everyone came up to me and complimented me on the dress. The selling point for me were the pockets it has. It fit all the essentials: phone, id, lipstick, and money. This is a must rent dress!

This dress was everything I could have hoped for. It fit beautifully and was perfect for prom. The pockets were beyond convenient so I didn't have to ask my boyfriend to put my phone in his pocket. It had a beautiful movement and while this is far from the best picture of the night it was wonderful. With the 3 inch heels I was wearing it floated elegantly across the floor and I didn't have to worry about anyone stepping on it. I would recommend it to anyone in a heart beat

I normally wear a 4 but am glad I ordered the 6, gave me more room to breathe and eat. I am 5'6 and wore 4" heels, probably could have used the longer length, the dress barely touched the floor with the regular length. I love the illusion neckline, was a little bit itchy and it has pockets. Really great gown!

My actual bust size is a 32DD and it hugged a little bit tight there so I just didn't wear a sleeveless bra as I had planned, instead wearing pasties. It was also still a bit long as a 4L even with 4-inch heels and 5'6" and 3/4 so there's obviously some room for differentiate. But everything else about the dress was absolutely wonderful! I danced all night at my senior prom in it and had a blast. The pockets are pretty big so I didn't even bother to bring a clutch at all! If I had the money and the reason to I would definitely buy this dress. P.S. The embellishment on the mesh is actually gold with some pearly accents and some plastic crystals, but I accessorized with silver and it still looked great!

Fits true to size. I have broad shoulders and no chest and it was a perfect fit. Material was comfortable

I got tons of compliments. This dress was super fun. It does run small. I'm usually a 2, but that size wouldn't zip around my rib cage. The 4L was a great, though. I wore 3" heels and it barely swept the floor. The pockets were so useful and were the perfect size for an iPhone 5s. I danced all night and it stayed secure. They might be a little small for an iPhone 6, though.

The pockets and hi-low hem make it a little fun and edgy while still being totally appropriate for a black-tie event. Very comfortable, beautiful heavy high quality material. The beading is exquisite in person. The 6 fit great but I almost could have worn a 4. The whole service and experience was perfection.

If you are a bit bustier, go with the bigger size.. I'm about 132 pounds, 5'3, and a 34B and the dress fit perfect. However, my chest size is small, so I was able to fit the 4R. I hope this helps! Overall the dress was fabulous and I can't thank RTR enough! Without this service, I couldn't have afforded a $1500 dress for such a formal occasion!

Very sophisticated dress with the perfect amount of beading on the shear neckline. Loved the high low skirt it flowed so nicely when walking. And the pockets! Who doesn't love pockets on a dress. With most dresses I need a 10 to fit the hips/thighs but with this dress, the 8 fit great as I am smaller in the chest.

The 6 r was perfect. The length was great with 4 inch heals on my 5'4" frame. The dress was classic with a bit of sas.

The length was just right for me at 5'8" to not worry about the dress dragging with 4" heels. For something more formal, I should have had the long. I am a pretty pure size 8, curvy with a slender waist and round rear end. I got the 8 and 10, wore the 8, and probably could have gone with a 6. I do have very muscular arms and the arm holes on this dress were a bit tight and somewhat painful. I had red marks around the neck at my shoulders, but I am a rather athletic build on the shoulders and arms. The fabric on the dress was wonderful. Highly recommended.

The 2R was very snug in the bodice so I went with the 4R and it fit perfectly. The hi lo hem made the dress stand out from the other long dresses at the party and the way the dress floated felt very regal. I was worried about the dress being too long in the back but with 2 in heels, it skimmed the floor beautifully. I received so many compliments and have nothing negative to say about it. It was such a comfortable dress and perfect for the black tie gala. And the best part was that it has pockets!

Comfortable and classy. Perfect long dress for a shorter lady. Since its short in the front you won't trip if the dress is a little too long. Loved the pockets!

I wore this dress for an awards ceremony and received many compliments. Fit very well and very comfortable. Usually wear a 2 and he 4 R fit perfectly. Had to have it steamed but was such a Great dress!

This dress fit like a dream and it is stunning in person. Great quality and the beading on the upper portion of the dress really kicked it up a notch. I wore with a great pair of chandelier earrings and that was all that was needed. Top it off with a classy updo to let the dress really shine.

This dress was amazing. Everyone was obsessed with it too. I wore it to a black tie affair - I wouldn't wear it to anything where boys aren't wearing tuxes. It's very formal. My favorite aspects were the beaded sheer top, and when when you're walking the skirt fills with air and looks full and just dreamy! It also has POCKETS. The skirt has some tulle underneath to add to the poof. I also love to swing dance and was concerned that I would not be able to with the long dress, but the high-low aspect of the skirt really helped a lot and I danced all night long! I was comfortable the whole time.

This was the perfect nye black tie dress. Only complaint is the zipper it's tiny and think fabric but a little patience and and extra pair of hands is all it takes. Loved it! Thanks for another great rtr experience!

This gown fit me like a glove. It was gorgeous. I felt like a doll baby in the dress. This was my first RTR experience. My first dress didn't work out it was too short so I swapped for this dress at the RTR in Georgetown. All the stylist were very helpful and made sure I found a dress that looked great on me. If you are tall suggest going with the hi low look it worked for me.

I went with the 8 only because the 6 was a little tight on the bust and it only fit comfortably without a bra. The length was totally fine and the dress moves beautifully! Overall super comfortable and perfect for black tie or white tie affair! Has pockets too!!

This is an elegant looking dress, while also being very comfortable to wear. I wore the 6L and had on three inch heels. I am 5'6" and would not have wanted shorter heels. I received an email that my backup size of 8L was unavailable so I was sent two additional dresses, but ended up wearing my original choice. I only wish I owned this dress to wear to other events!!

This dress was stunning; however, it fits differently than the picture would suggest. The dress in the picture seems a lot more stiff and flared whereas the actual dress is less dramatic. Overall though, it was a beautiful dress and I really loved wearing it. Just make sure you know what you're getting!

The 2R fit better around my busy and waist, but I needed a longer fit, so I went with the 4L. The difference was small, but I would have been happier if it came in a 2L. Overall, the dress is very comfortable, and the pockets are useful, although I made note not to take any pictures with my hands in my pockets. The skirt of the dress was really flat, so I recommend either knowing how to make the mesh and underskirt stiffer, or buying a tulle skirt to wear underneath. As the dress gets worn out the color gets duller and the fabric starts to pill; this is only noticeable up close, but please be prepared to receive a used dress.

The asymmetrical cut and full lining give this dress a gorgeous movement that is elegant and whimsical. The neck detail is delicate but intriguing, adding a touch of glamour that isn't childish or over the top. My only negative comment is that the fabric doesn't look exactly like it does in the picture. It's more of a soft, brushed cotton blend rather than a dupioni or crepe as I originally thought. As a result, the fabric looks a little duller than I would have hoped, and the black seemed a little faded (possibly from wear/wash). I would have preferred a more polished fabric with a slight sheen, but this did not ultimately detract from the gown and styling. It's a stunning cut and will undoubtedly get you tons of compliments.

The fit was perfect, the fabric a bit disappointing. I thought it would be more of a jet black and a stiffer, shinier material per the photo but it is a relaxed material, not a true black, it does not have that crispness that I thought it might have from the picture. The detail work on the top portion of the bodice is lovely and the front being shorter than the back makes it a bit more fun for a formal event as well as easier to walk in, you aren't always stepping on it.

This is a beautiful gown! The high-low skirt is a unique alternative to the traditional floor length gown. the full skirt is made of thick luxurious fabric and has beautiful movement when you walk! The beaded detail on top is intricate and elegant. This dress runs small, I would recommend sizing up, or if you are in between sizes- choose the bigger size, and size up for back up. I am typically a 0-2 and the 2 fit but was slightly snug in the bust. This dress works best for bust sizes A-C; if you have a fuller bust size up 1-2 sizes. Fantastic option for a black tie event!

The dress was absolutely gorgeous! I received so many compliments from complete strangers who came up to me just to tell me how beautiful it was. The contrasting hem and mesh top makes such a statement. The pictures don't do this dress justice to the way it flows as you walk and dance. As for the fit, I feel it was true to size, and the long was the perfect length for my 5'7" height with heels. I have a slightly larger rib cage, so it was snug, but not too tight. The only slight negative I can find about this dress is that the mesh top does run a little tight around the arm holes and bottom neck. Nothing bad, but just snug. All in all, a great dress and another great RTR experience!
