Wore this dress for my bridal shower tea party and it was just amazing. I picked up from the NYC store and although there were some issues with the dress shipped they provided me with another one right on the spot. It worked so well with the theme and fit like a charm. No complaints on the fit. The dress is very flattering, I felt like a princess. Would definitely recommend. I look forward to another rental very soon.

True to size, great dress for New Years!

I got complements all night! It was very flattering and a fun, edgy style. The pockets were very convenient and the skin-toned mesh top gave the appearance of a strapless dress while providing the comfort/support of a full covering dress (I didn't have to worry about pulling the dress up/adjusting it all evening on the dance floor). The beaded design on the front also gave a great accent which allowed me to forgo jewelry. It made me feel fancy but was all simply one piece. I'd rent this dress again in a heartbeat!

The two best features of this dress: the pockets and the faux statement necklace. It was definitely a conversation starter and many people asked me where I got the dress. I also found that it was a good compromise for a wedding where some were in cocktail attire and some were in gowns. Also, the 4 definitely fit snugly, but I feel like you want that because the top piece should look like your skin from a distance. The good news is that it is fitted high on the waist so there is room for wedding food and drink should you expand a size or two!!! In addition, I was able to dance and everything, no problem. Last note, the color is more pink-y than the model, which looked orange-y to me.

Loved the color of this dress and ornate neckline. Only con was the mesh was a tiny bit itchy at the neckline.

Overall, The dress was great! The material is definitely unexpected--almost like a heavyweight cotton. But it worked. The top of the dress definitely runs a bit on the smaller side.

I was really excited to wear this dress. I wanted to test out the 'high-low' trend in fashion and felt this was the dress to do it in. The photo doesn't capture the brilliance of the jewels around the neckline of the dress. Of course, the pockets sent it over the top. The only drawback was the material was very creased when it arrived and even after steaming it, it was still very creased. But, overall great dress and I would rent again.

This is very cool because it looks like a strapless with a great necklace, but is actually mesh on top (sleeveless) with attached bling that mimics a statement necklace...this makes it great for larger busts because you feel more secure and don't have to worry about falling out! I am a hard fit as I have a very large bust and shoulders, but a more athletic lower body with smaller, straight waist and virtually no hips or butt! I always have to get 10-12 to accommodate my bust, but my lower body is 6-8. The dress was very comfortable and has hidden pockets which come in very handy at a wedding. The color is a little more salmon than red. A previous review stated the material seemed cheap....I completely disagree...material was high quality. This was my first time using Rent the Runway and this was a dress that I chose with the help of a consultant when my original choice was damaged right before the event (I was freaking out!). If you want a dress that stands out from everyone else and is beautiful, this is the dress for you! I have reserved another dress for Valentine's day...so will have another to review soon.

Disappointed that the 8 was stained so I had wear the 10. The 8 fit much better. Other than that the dress was a hit I felt good in it and it was perfect for a wedding. I got a lot of compliments.

Pros- large pockets, beautiful color, looks great, fun to wear. Cons- the mesh was tight around my shoulders. This was a back up. The dress I ordered for New Years Eve was damaged beyond repair the day before I was to receive my shipment. RTR sent me this and another option I liked and honestly, I loved this dress. I really wanted to avoid the black dress on New Years and this baby delivered. The subtle detail and the bright color won me over!

This dress fit true to size and had a cute silhouette but I wasn't a fan of the material or the color. In real life the color is more of a coral pink rather than a red like in the pictures. I also expected the material to be more luxurious - in real life it is a rough cotton which was surprising, and made the dress feel less glamorous. Overall I didn't end up wearing it and went with my second style instead. Side note, if you're on the shorter side, the length might not be flattering on you.

This dress was gorgeous, and super comfortable. I loved the pockets, and I got compliments on the neckline all night- everyone thought it was a necklace. The material is pretty thick and is more like a thick, shiny cotton. The back was pretty long (it fell mid-calf for me) and the fit is pretty much as expected.

The fit of this dress is great - I didn't have to worry about how I looked all night, as it was comfortable and stayed put. The skirt is so fun to dance in - you can scrunch up the tulle underlay to make the skirt fuller - it's not as full as I expected, which I am actually happy about. I was expecting the fabric to have more sheen, however, it is still a gorgeous dress--with pockets (optimal!). My only two cons are barely cons at all: the zipper and back clasp are difficult to do on your own -- luckily I had help. Also, if you are dancing, the top may be / feel slightly restrictive. That didn't stop me though! Overall, my absolute favorite dress! I would recommend it to anyone. If you want a really fun, gorgeous, unique dress to wear, choose this!

I normally wear 0s because I'm narrow and short (5'1"), but I also have a bigger bust (30DDD). The 2 worked really well to accommodate that. I probably could've done the 0 too, but it definitely would've been tight. This wedding was late July and worked for an outdoor event. A little heavy, but nothing that would've prevented me from having fun. Since the event was black tie optional, I liked that this was cocktail attire, but also it was longer to accommodate the black tie for summer. Overall, loved the dress. TONS of compliments!

This dress. This dress caused people to stop me in the street in the middle of a crowd from the wedding and in an at capacity bar to tell me how I stood out in the crowd. Rent. This. Dress. The wedding was on a lake so it caught the wind just a bit in pictures and I felt like a queen. The built in necklace and also the pockets (!) made this such a functional dress too. I am SO glad I rented this when my original came back damaged. This dress saved the day and made my night!

This dress was amazing! I wore it to a Nigerian wedding and it was spot on! The color is fabulous and the neckline that looks like a necklace is stunning! Highly recommend it !

I had ordered this dress in a size 4 with the size 2 as a backup. The size 4 was unable to ship and the backup dress I was sent was dreadful. I was happily surprised that the size 2 fit. I am normally a size 4 but I think my saving grace into fitting into the 2 was having a small bust. Overall, I was happy with my rental.

I got both a 4 and 6 and the 6 was a little loose but longer in the waist so I went with it. Very comfortable dress. Was a classic look for an 80s Gala fundraiser. Amid the fluorescent colors I felt like a princess. Very unique look.

I rented this for New Years. It fit so perfectly, like it was made for me! It was cold, so after I decided to wear tights, I added a black sash for a belt (that I tied in the back). I loved the feel of the fabric, it wasn't too stiff. I am always a sucker for a dress with pockets too!!! The embellished neckline is amazing, I didn't even feel the need to wear heavy earrings. It is a high low hem, which I love having a larger backside. I felt like I had lots of coverage and it felt very elegant. It does have a layer of tulle under the skirt which can be confusing when stepping into the dress. I feel like it can be worn different ways, and I wore most of the tulle to the back. You can make it pretty fluffy I'm sure, I tried to pull the tulle down, as with wearing it more to the back.

The dress was so perfectly snug, I didn't need to wear a bra. I would recommend sizing up for those with a larger bust. Color was great and I loved the beading up top.

I loved this dress! The color is amazing, and the neckline is gorgeous! It is a little tight through the chest, but it still is very comfortable. I am either a 4 or 6, and I had to go with the 6 because of the chest area. My first experience with Rent the Runway was a success!!

Needing a little bit of a pick-me-up, I was looking for a dress that'd make me look good for a very important art show for artists with disabilities. I would not have selected this dress looking at it online because it looked too "poofy" in the skirt, but I happened to go to the RTRW flatiron store to try a few styles on. It fit me like a glove - form fit my small top, flowing skirt with room for my pear shape. The best part is that the "necklace" part is built into sheer mesh, so no matter how I moved around, everything stayed in place. Dress and go! I received many compliments on the look - if I could afford to do so, this would have a permanent place in my closet.

The size is appropriate, but it is a little snug at the top; however, it is still comfortable. Honestly, the thing that surprised me the most was the built in tool layer underneath. I thought it was just the way she posed in the dress in the picture. I wasn't a fan of the tool only because I am not a personal fan of the "poofed" out look. And it will accentuate your hips/curves. Otherwise, it was great for twirling on the dance floor. And for someone who is short, the length was fine! And the color is more pink than red.

My first Rent the Runway experience. I wore this dress to a charity dinner. I did have to have it steamed, as it was fairly wrinkled when it arrived. Several of the beaded embellishments are missing, but I guess that's expected given that it's been worn by many people. I received a lot of compliments, and especially loved that it has pockets!

I rented this for a 1950s themed gala. Material is nice--silk taffeta. I added a crinoline for extra full skirt. Beading is very pretty. It's very true to size. Deep salmon color.

I wore this dress for a formal event and got compliments ALL NIGHT! It is an absolutely stunning dress. Many people asked about the "necklace," but I LOVED the fact that it was all part of the embellishment on the dress. I loved wearing this dress! My only concern was that because I am so busty, the chest area looked a little awkward where the bust seam is placed, but other than that it was amazing!

The color was beautiful in person and in pictures but the fabric is like a heavy cotton and it wrinkles very easily. I didn't not like that it wrinkle very easily, just from sitting for 1 minute.

The color is a winner especially for a summer wedding. The fit is true to size but the lace top fits tight and can cut at your armpit sides (ouch!). Mom says you can be fashionable or comfortable, I choose fashionable with this one. I'm wearing a comparable dress to this one (same designer) to a fall wedding so there is that. Enjoy!

This was great for the event. I got tons of compliments. It was nice to have the sheer top coverage so that I didn't have to fight to keep it in place.

Loved this dress! SO easy to wear. The color is amazing and will help you stand out in a room of black without having to wear sequins. ;-) Fit perfect on my chest which is non existent. I would suggest going up if you have a bigger chest.

I wore this dress for a work holiday party and received so many compliments. It fit exactly the was I envisioned from the photo. I loved the look of a strapless dress, but with the comfort of the discomfort. Great selection for a dressy cocktail, but not too formal option.

I loved the color, the interesting detail at the top, and the high/low hem. However, this dress did not work for me because I am a petite. The length of the bodice (from shoulders to waist) was too long, causing the fabric to bunch through the middle. Otherwise, I would have loved it.

The dress fit well all around except the chest. I am a DD and the dress was too tight on top and I couldn't wear it.

It runs very small in the bust area so I didn't get to wear it. But it is stunning

As other reviews say, the sheer fabric irritates a bit. Before I even left my hotel for the wedding my chest and armpit areas were already red and itchy. Cocktail hour helped me get through that pretty quickly 😈 The dress itself was fine otherwise. The skirt is very poofy which is great for my fellow pear shaped ladies and makes for fun moves on the dance floor and the color was just perfect for a late summer/early fall wedding in Newport. Thanks RTR!

I ordered this dress for a Summer Newport (RI) wedding, but it was too small in the bust. The dress has the normal amount of room throughout the natural waist but the top is definitely meant for a small to average cup size. I am a 38D+ and could not even come close to zipping it all the way. The dress itself was beautiful! The detailing on the neck was very well done and I thought the fabric had a nice weight and quality.

I wish I could have taken the dress and lengthened the waist section. Unfortunately it cut my waist off in such a way that made me look heavier than I am. I am tall and lean and can typically where anything easily but this just did nothing for me. The top half is gorgeous and the skirting is nice although the crinoline was super wrinkled and makes the skirt jet out high close to your body and fall weakly throughout the rest of the skirt which further made me look heavy. The 2 was a better fit than the 0 though as the 0 was pretty tight in the arms and chest.

Was a beautiful gown. Just really poofy for me. If you have hips it's going to make you look even wider.
