The arms were extremely tight and difficult to get on, even with super skinny arms. The tule is beautiful and it flows really well, but it also bunches up at the waist and is not the most flattering for any shape.

this dress truly made me feel like a princess. I was a little worried about the fit of it (since it was the only size available), but was very pleased when it fit. fair warning that the zipper on this is an absolute beast. it is very difficult to get up and required the help of three others. I recommend wearing a slip underneath because the fabric is a tad bit see through.

Fit me perfectly! I was concerned about the bust (I wear a 36DDD) but it was comfortable and supportive enough that with only a sticky bra I was comfortable. I wore this to my senior prom, and was mistaken for a princess by a toddler in a restaurant. I got compliments all night- this truly was my dream gown!

I'm 5'5" and 121 pounds and found the L to fit perfectly. The arms fit fine and I did not find them too tight, as others have mentioned and I don't think of myself as having small arms. The 6 was a bit big around the waist, but the zipper on the 4 was impossible, even when it wasn't on, it was still a challenge to get the zipper up. The dress definitely adds some bulk, so not the best choice for anyone concerned about that. This dress is amazing. I got so many compliments on this and definitely stood out among the sea of inappropriate dresses. I found it to fit TTS. The zipper was a bit sticky at the waistband but once you got it up over that part it zipped with ease. Some reviews said that the sleeves were constricting but I found them to be comfortable and able to move my arms freely. I feel it made me look a bit heavier in my mid section but I was okay with that because this dress is gorgeous.

I received this along with the similar mermaid gown by the same designer and the Catch the Wave gown because the Say I Do gown I initially ordered for my bridal photo shoot was no longer available. To be honest, I didn't really like all of the lace on this or the mermaid gown, it reminded me of curtains, but my photographer loved it so I gave it a twirl. Well, I'm glad I did! My photo shoot was in a museum and the little girls there for the Easter egg hunt kept stopping to stare at me and tell me I looked gorgeous (can totally see how this would make me look like a theme park princess lol) and it was admittedly super adorable of them. So this gave my punk-y hairstyle a really girly and fairy like glow and the pictures turned out better than I expected. I wore an 8R though because my size (6R) wasn't available and although it was too big, the zipper just would not cooperate which didn't really matter for the purposes of this photo shoot. Wouldn't pay to rent this for my own purposes but it was a gorgeous dress to stumble upon.

I rented this gown in 10L and 12L! Unfortunately, the 10L had a big tear in the tulle right at the waistline, so I couldn't wear it even though that size would have fit a bit better on top. The 12L had minor damage closer to the bottom of the dress, so significantly less noticeable and I was able to wear it for my engagement pictures on Sunday! IT WAS GORGEOUS! I got sooo many compliments from other couples doing engagement pictures that day, as well as from everyone who has seen the photos so far! It was comfortable and easy to wear. I am 6' tall and I wish it would have been a teeny tiny bit longer to cover my shoes completely, but overall it was so beautiful and worked out perfectly for the shoot. I have bigger arms so the sleeves were tight in my opinion, but other than that it was a great fit!

I couldn't have been happier with this dress and RTR's service. This dress is a showstopper. The lace detail is so feminine and the volume of the tulle is just the right amount. I'm 5'5 and the 2L was just a tad too long (the 2R was sold out--rent early!), but worked pretty well once I put on 4-inch heels. It fit like a dream and I didn't have much trouble with the zipper--but just a word to the wise: you'll need someone to help you zip up because it is delicate and difficult to do by yourself.

I rented this for my client (I am a photographer www.toniechristine.com ) and she LOVED it! She is only about 5'3" but wore high heels and it was perfect on her!

The gown was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I was told that I looked like a queen allllll night! Everything from the colors to the way the bottom of gown moved to the lace detailing was beautiful! Definitely a show stopper! This dress runs true to size considering the length and bust, I'm 5'8 and I had to wear flats. Also the back wouldn't zip up all the way b/c I'm a DD but leaving it unzipped a bit in the back worked out fine b/c it added a hint of sexiness to balance the conservativeness of long sleeves. Plus you couldn't even notice the zipper while it was unzipped. I recommend sizing up if your a DD and ordering the dress long for heights 5'5+.

My dress came a day late even though my address was correct. I believe that RTR forgot to give UPS my apt #. Other than that, everything else was smooth. I'm 5"4 and almost 130 pounds and I had to wear the 6R. I felt like I was in a dream all night.

I'm 5'8 and about 125-130lbs. I rented the 4R and it fit like a gem. I wore flats so it did drag on the ground but if I had worn heals then it would have been perfect. I think the 2R would have been too tight. This dress is the perfect fairy tale dress and was easily the most beautiful there. I would recommend 100%!

My stylist Erin at the lower Manhattan store took one look at me and knew what I should wear. She was awesome!

This gown was amazing! So dreamy and romantic! I originally had another gown picked out, but it was returned ruined so RTR let me pick any gown to replace it. When I saw this gown was available I had to snatch it up! I did some new portraits for my business and this gown was perfection for it. Seriously so much fun to wear and fit like a dream!

This dress is definitely a show stopper. Be prepared to have all eyes on you! The dress itself is really gorgeous but wearing high heels is a MUST because it is very long. I am 5'3 and I rented a size 4R and I constantly had to watch my step in order not to step on it. There was a problem with the zipper which made it very difficult to close so you will need someone to help you zip it up. Also, the fabric is very sheer and see through so you will need to wear light underwear , preferably a thong. You will also need to wear a low back bra, go bra less, or buy one of those sticky bras. I rented this dress for a masquerade ball and it was absolutely PERFECT for my event. Everyone loved it!

The dress is beautiful. Perfect in every way for my 'Miss Gulf Breeze' photoshoot for my high school yearbook. Luckily, this dress runs true to size because RTR suddenly was unable to send my backup size. It is a tad short & that is why I give it 4 stars.

This dress is everything that a tulle dress should be--romantic, whimsical, and so fun to wear. I received several compliments throughout the evening. It was also surprisingly comfortable. It was a little constricting in the sleeves, but that was to be expected. As far as fit goes, it was true to size. I'm a pretty standard size 4, and this dress fit pretty much how I would expect a 4 to fit. It was pretty wrinkled upon arrival, but I steamed it before wearing it, and that made it look about a thousand times better. Also, I wore 4" heels, and they peeked out the bottom just a little. This worked fine for me, but just a heads up to anyone thinking of wearing tall heels with it. Overall, it was a great dress, and I really enjoyed wearing it.

The dress was absolutely beautiful, and to no surprise the extra size was unavailable for my engagement photo date due to popularity I am sure. I would highly recommend that you reserve this dress ahead of time to ensure you book a size larger just in case, I was unable to get the zipper up, even though I had plenty of room and it wasn't tight. You may benefit from the larger size so you aren't playing around with the zipper for too long. Needless to say, when the zipper finally went up after an hour of finagling, it looked amazing, and I felt like a princess. It has a romantic look and stunning appearance against fall colors.

Beautiful fabric but not very flattering at all. The dress made me feel frumpy

I am typically between a 2R and a 4R and even the 4 was tight on me, particularly in the chest and arms. My backup size (2R) was unable to be provided, so I got to pick out a free backup dress! Pretty awesome to get a free reception dress out of the situation! The tulle wrinkles easily, so be prepared for it to be delivered with some wrinkles. This dress is a little see through and mine had definitely seen some wear and tear, but I wouldn't have traded it for anything, it is absolutely beautiful.

PROS: I ordered this for my cousin's wedding (an Indian wedding). I paired it with a long scarf from another Indian outfit, some Indian jewelry, and it matched perfectly! I received compliments all night. I usually wear a 6, but the back where it zips up was a little snug. I'm glad I had the backup size 8. CONS: The material underneath the tulle is very transparent, so you have to plan on wearing a slip or spanx.

This dress firs very true to size for my body type. I am 5'8 and wish a long would have been available but the R was great while I was barefoot. The sleeves are tight and did take some work to get them off and on other than that this dress was amazing. After being proposed in it I really didn't want to send it back.

Absolutely GORGEOUS dress! My only complaint is my own fault in that I should have ordered the long dress because with my 4" heels my shoes were visible. I wore this dress to the 50th Petroushka ball in NYC. Felt like the belle of the ball. Definitely a great choice.

I am a teacher and wore this for our classroom tea party. It is just divine! I had to wear 3 inch heels due to my 5'1 height, but it worked out just fine. Extremely classy, but I will say that virtually 100% of fathers without a wife present during car rider dismal (I directed traffic in the dress) rolled down their window and said gorgeous or beautiful.

The dress ran a bit on the small and short side - I usually wear a size 4, and I got the backup size 6L just in case. Thank goodness I did as the 4R was too tight around the chest and much too short for me to wear with any heel. The 6L was also a bit short with my high heels, but it was perfect for when I was wearing flats. The sleeves were also quite tight and a bit short, so I definitely recommend sizing up (or at least opting in for a large backup size just in case). Beautiful dress, though!!

Dreamy. When my mother saw me she literally gasped. Compliments all night on this dress. As for the fit, I am 5'11" and have a rather narrow body. I can see how the empire waist on this dress could be rather unflattering for some. Otherwise the flowiness and color and fit was just a dream. I was comfortable all night - note the pictures of me breakin' it down. Lovely, lovely gown. So grateful I got to be a princess on my wedding - affordably! Thanks Rent the Runway :)

I rented this dress for my engagement pictures and it was absolutely gorgeous! The lace details on the sleeves and top are perfect and delicate! The full tulle skirt was gorgeous and made me feel like a princess. I needed a 6R but they were sold out on my date so I went with the 8R. It was a little large on me but I think that means it runs true to size. This dress is great for any special occasion!

It was so beautiful. It hides any imperfections from the waist down! Runs a tad small so order your size and a size up and you'll be good to go!

The only issue she had was with the 2L. It fit her like a glove, but she couldn't really lift her arms, so we went with the 4L to give it some slack for moving around in. This dress was awesome. I wore it for my wedding and received so many compliments because it was a unique choice for a wedding dress. I normally wear a size 4, but the arms on the size 4 in this dress were way too tight on me. I wore my backup size 6 and it fit comfortably. Overall I loved the dress though. It was really comfortable for an outdoor, summer wedding in 85 degree F heat because the lace and tulle are very sheer and the under dress is quite light.

I wish the 0 did not come damaged because the 2 was a bit large on me. Other then that it was an amazing dress!!

RTR only was able to send me the 8L when I rented both an 8L and the 6L but they were very apologetic and offered to send me another dress plus the dress runs small so I fit the 8L perfect! the dress was very flowy and made me feel wonderful! A problem would be that I for sure stepped on it a couple times making me a bit more cautious about where and how i stepped. Over all awesome dress!

As others have reviewed, the arm holes on this dress are built for someone with a shorter torso, so you need to be very careful getting the dress on. Outside of the arms, the fit of the dress is true to size through the torso, but I noted that it "runs small" because of the arms. I also think if you had broad shoulders it would be really challenging to get this on. As there is a lot of lace and tulle on this dress, there are some nips and snags here and there, but you absolutely cannot tell when photographed. Definitely plan to wear flats if you are tall- I had the regular and needed to wear flats, I wish the tall had been available for my date!

It is a lot of material to deal with but the overall effect is worth it. It runs a bit small without a lot of give in the underdress so size up.

Absolutely fell in love with this dress for my engagement photo shoot! I ordered two sizes of this dress and only received the smaller size since the other was previously returned damaged. The one I received was very worn and had pulls all in the lace and tulle, though you could really only tell if you were very close. There is more tulle in the front than there is in the back so in certain light, the back of this dress can be see through. I definitely recommend nude under wear! Rent the Runway was really great and sent two more dresses just in case the one I originally ordered didn't work out. Over all the dress was beautiful and took the best photos!
