True to size.

I loved this dress. I usually don't go for form-fitting styles, but I loved the length, cut, color, etc. of this dress and also the lace. It fit perfectly and I wore Spanx underneath to smooth my shape (I have an hourglass figure and I'm always paranoid about my hips). It's very tailored yet I was able to dance comfortably. I received many compliments throughout the night!

Ohh this dress!! Such a beauty! I love how different it is. the lace may be replicated but the shape/style is definitely different than any ive seen! I had compliments allllll night and I felt absolutely stunning in the dress! It had no give but still fit perfectly! Some commenta mentioned that id you have an hourglass figure that this is not the dress for you...that couldnt be further from the truth! I have an hourglass figure and this dress just fit perfecy around every curve! Love love love

I️ got a size up, normally an 8, and I️t fit perfectly. The fabric has no give and the purple lace overlay is very delicate, I️ would go a size up to make sure I️t doesn't pucker or pop one of the little threads when you dance or sit. So pretty, super unique and makes you feel spicy and sexy while being formal and sophisticated. Can't say enough good things!!!

This dress was fabulous! It is a little snug in the hips but nothing that kept me from dancing the night away! There is a slit in the back of the dress so that helps a lot with walking and dancing. The straps are adjustable so that gives you some flexibility with the fit at the top. I wore this to a wedding and felt like million bucks! This is just another dress I wish I had permanently in my closet!

This is a gorgeous gown, I received compliments all night. The bodice is fitted as is the dress through the thighs so not a ton of room for movement if you plan on dancing a lot :). However, the fit was incredibly flattering and still enough movement to be comfortable. There is lining throughout the bodice so you do not need to wear a bra if you don't want to. I was between the 2 and 4- The 4 gave me a little bit more of a relaxed feel but my shape was kind of lost. The 2 was a much more flattering fit. Would totally rent this again!

This dress is so stunning. I loved the bright purple and the mermaid flare. This dress is perfect for a wedding or formal affair.

This dress was beautiful in person. Looked fabulous on (but definitely size up if you are curvy). It was PERFECT for a fall/winter wedding. My only compliant was that the straps were very thin and as a result one of them broke right before the reception. Thankfully the dress is structured enough that it stayed up without them.

Stunning dress, but beware the zipper! The fabric is super stiff and because it hugs the body, it's incredibly challenging to get in and out of. The zipper isn't long enough to get you in and out and the shape doesn't move well, so pushing it up doesn't help. Using the bathroom and dancing was difficult in this dress. I have an hourglass body so maybe it was just my booty getting in the way? Loved this dress, I just wish the zipper went longer in the back.

I waited forever for this stress to become available for a "prince purple rain party. "I had to wear another dress because this was not available at the time. When it became available I rented it just for the heck of it. It looks more blue than purple if you ask me I wanted it to be a more deeper purple. The dress definitely does not have any give so if you are on the fence size up. It is a beautiful dress for an hour glass figure.

Perfect dress for an hourglass body shape. Found it to be a tiny bit loose on top but wore the 4 for more flexibility in the hips and felt comfortable all night.

I absolutely loved this dress! I didn't need a bra and my breast are pretty heavy. The back was so elegant yet sexy! The undertone is completely nude so choose nude accessories. I got so many compliments on this dress !

Flattering shape, beautiful color

I wore this dress to my brothers wedding and got compliments all night. The dress is beautifully structured and fit like a glove. I was comfortable and didn't have to make adjustments through the night. Great material and build, it felt like an expensive dress!

This dress made me feel very beautiful and stylish. The shape of the dress is very flattering, the lines in it work to compliment the body, and the embroidery is well done. Got a lot of compliments! It could've highlighted my waist more, been more form fitting but for that, I could've just worn the smaller size but I was worried about being able to dance in it. Amazing dress overall!!

Gorgeous dress with beautiful lace details (butterflies and flowers)! Color was a saturated blue/purple. I wore a strapless bra, but maybe not necessary for a smaller bust/younger gal that requires less support. Wore black heels, but I think nude or gold would work equally well. This was one of my all time favorite rentals!

Beautiful silhouette that really lengthens your figure, especially when paired with heels. But unfortunately the 0R was a little roomy for me, especially on the top and bust. The details are beautiful up close and are so photogenic.

Love, love, love- this dress was everything! I couldn't have asked for a better dress for my work's annual gala. I received endless amounts of compliments and stood out amongst the sea of black dresses! The fit is definitely true to size- I wore the 4R and I'm 5ft, 120lbs, 34B and I had plenty of room to dance and comfortably sit for dinner. If your my size, consider wearing this with a strapless bra because there was some room in the bust. I could probably have sized down for a tighter fit but the 4 was pretty spot on! Favorite RTR dress so far!

This dress definitely fit super snugly but was beautiful on. It is a nice mermaid/hourglass shape. I wore it for a rehearsal dinner and received many compliments on it. Definitely size up 1-2 sizes if you have any type of hips or are at all busty.

My pants size is normally size 4 but the size 2 for this dress fit perfectly around my waist so I went with it. My chest area is very small so naturally the bodice was a tad big but nothing a push up bra couldn't fix! It hugged in all the right places and I felt so GAWJUS wearing it. I wore a deep side part with loose curls and buhbam...instant movie star vibe. Definitely recommend!

I thought the dress fit pretty true to size. Dress is tight around the body but you can still dance in it.

The color of the dress really pops and the lace is beautiful. The dress isn't form fitting so you may want to order a size down if that's the looking you're going for.

I wore this dress to a wedding in London- it was perfect for the occasion. I am petite and it was in the straps and back area but nothing a couple of temporary stitches and a safety pin couldn't handle. The color is gorgeous and the quality was great. It was a little difficult to maneuver in because you can't bend at the knees... otherwise I loved it!

Was a little difficult to move in this dress- hard to bend over or go to bathroom ! It was pretty snug, but didn’t have much give. I would recommend this dress but maybe no dancing!

Felt beautiful in this dress. Actually ordered it as the backup dress Incase I didn't like the other. So glad I ended up not liking the other. This dress fit nicely, felt great. Beautiful material and the details were amazing. BUT it's not stretchy. Couldn't bend down easily (actually fell trying to pick up the bouquet, dress was not budging) lol and the straps were very thin, one popped in the middle of the party!! Still lovedddd the dress. Highly recommend it.

It was chilly, so I styled this dress with a leather jacket. I took the jacket off for photos, but the black leather jacket and the deep purple went well together. The dress is as described, but there is a little bit more room in the flare portion than what the model's photo suggests. The 6R was a bit large around the bust and waist, but the 4R wasn't available so I did wonder what the fit would have been if I had received the smaller 4R size. However, the 6R worked well still because there's no stretch in the fabric. I received compliments on the color and fit of the dress all night.

I was nervous after reading reviews that this dress ran small but my true size fit perfectly. It was easy to move around in for dancing and karaoke. And it's beautiful...I got compliments all night and the next day when I posted photos. Highly recommend!!

I wore this dress for an evening wedding. It fit very nicely and was comfortable. So happy with the process and will be renting from Rent the Runaway from now on. The dress was a bit on the smaller side but thanks to other reviews I knew to get it one size larger. Higy recommend!

This is my second Marchesa rental and I love the quality of their dresses. Comfortable fit and I didn't have any problems sitting or moving around. I loved the length, perfect for my height. And the color is a standout. I didn't get it too snug, normally I wear a 0 but I stick to a 2 in rentals just for ease of movement.
