I wore this to my aunts formal 50th masquerade and the dress was a hit. The stretch satin is really nice, is thick so hides any flaws and the color is incredibly rich! If you're not comfortable having the girls out- don't wear this dress as it is low cut. I'd absolutely recommend!

This dress was absolutely beautiful to the color of the red to the gold beading. The cut was perfect for my curvy built and would highly recommend it.

Wear this if you want to catch the eye of everyone and look fabulous! It's very flattering even with the satin fabric. The neckline is low cut so be prepared if this is not your thing.

I'm normally a size 6-8. Wore a size 2. Fit almost perfect. A little loose around the bust. Probably better if you are fuller in that area

I am 5'2.5, and I originally tried on a 2L at the store because it was the only one in stock. As expected, it was way too long. Luckily, the store was able to order and send a 2R to me for my event. As a backup, I opted for the 0R. There were no petite lengths for this dress and I was unable to try any of the "regular" lengths, so I was nervous that the dresses would be too long. The store clerk explained that I could use fashion tape to shorten the hem if that turned out to be the case. Even with my 4.5-inch heels, both the 0R and 2R ended up being slightly too long, but because I was able to walk without tripping, I decided against the fashion tape. The 2R was missing a bead, so I opted for the 0R, which fit about the same. The dress is skin tight and you can see most underwear lines, so I definitely recommend wearing Spanx. I wear a 32DD bra, and the boob area was a little tight even with nothing underneath. Overall, it was a great fit, and I am happy that I opted for the 0R as the backup size.

Vibrant red color. Be careful with plunging neckline. I noticed that if I keep shoulders back dress lays perfectly. Loved it overall!

I usually avoid satin categorically but this Marchesa gown has totally changed my mind. The fabric is so thick and luxurious. Shape wear goes undetected which is a major plus. Have fashion tape on hand, it's a must for this dress. I really loved this gown and received endless compliments!

The dress was true to size. The length was a bit long ( I am 5'3), but in my 3 inch heels, it was fine. The quality of the dress was nice. The only issue that I was faced with the night of the party was the bust area, I was able to find a low/backless bra from Victoria Secret, but I still had problems with the front of the dress, so I used doubled sided tape to keep it from popping open.

I wore very high (4 inch) heels, and it was still slightly long. ( I'm 5'3"). You can't wear a bra with this, and I used fashion tape to make sure there was no gapping in the chest area. It fit great otherwise, and was very flattering.

Pros: beautiful color! Very flattering on olive colored skin. Very traditional old Hollywood glam! Looked great with a fake fur boa & black gloves. Couldn't wear this one due to the fact that the v-neck was just too deep. My boyfriend love it but it was for my companies black tie Christmas party that was Great Gatsby themed. I got sent this dress as a replacement for the original one that I picked. I did not feel like it was tight at all - I am a true size 0 Petite but I am 5'5" and I will say it was much too large in the chest shoulder area. I would have needed one or two inches chopped off the shoulder straps. Didn't want to worry about my bra showing...so I wore the other dress I rented

I wore this to a Christmas Ball and it was beautiful. I'm very large busted (30GG) and I didn't wear a bra or fashion tape. For the less endowed, a super low cut bra would work. Marchese is usually not a good fit for my hips, but the stretch satin was perfect. I'm only 5'3" and my shoes were off in this photo. If you are tall, this may be too short.

I wore a size 4 but could have gone with a 2. The only issue that I had with this dress was how deep the neckline went. The dress was a little more revealing than I thought it would be. Thank goodness for boobie tape. It held everything in the right place and I had no malfunctions. I loved this dress but I would not suggest wearing it to a conservative event.

Measurements for reference identified on photo. Unfortunately, I did not end up wearing this gown, only because it was a bit too revealing on the cleavage side for my taste. So if your blessed up top, and will be attending a more conservative event, I'd recommended something different. Otherwise the dress is gorgeous! It's satin so it's less than forgiving on bloated days (LOL). It has a small train and I found it to be a bit shorter than I expected for a 'long'. The embellishments around the empire waistline are sparkling and really give the dress a nice pop. I would have probably worn the dress if there was a size 6L. I'd been eyeing this gown for months but waited too long before I secured my size.

First off I got so many compliments from friends, waiters, bartenders, fellow patrons... I felt like the bell of the ball in this dress. Of course I also had my hair done and accessorized to complete the picture. I went with the 6r; perfect length when you're 5'5" and wearing 3 inch heels. The dress was amazing around the waist and the flow of the skirt. I read the reviews and was prepared. You will need fashion tape for the shoulders and chest as it does tend to want to slip and you cannot wear a bra with this dress. I went with the reusable silicon nipple covers also. It never slipped and I was never uncomfortable. Without the tape I would not have been able to wear this dress. I'm also just a 34C with a short torso so I used a small clip to cinch it to get it to fall in the right place. And spanx never hurt :)

Loved this dress! I rented it for a performance and it was a hit! Very comfortable and makes you look and feel expensive. The only reason I gave it four instead of five stars is that the beck is so low cut that event deep V bra was poking out and I could have really used some fashion tape. When I didn't wear a bra there was a slight bowing of the neck so at certain angles you may have been able to see a little boob. Love the color though and the details. Easy to zip but it wrinkles easily!

The dress was great for the event. I ordered a size 4 and 6 as a back up because some of the reviews said it runs a tad small. I did not find that to be true. The 4 was baggy in a few areas, but is was nothing I couldn't fix with fashion tape.

Beautiful, soft silk. Main con: it's not the most flattering in the waistline (it doesn't really cinch) or make a beautiful hourglass shape. but if you pose well you can whittle your waistline visually. Not great but doable for sure. It fit my butt INCREDIBLY well. I'm 5'3 and the petite was very necessary. I paired the beautiful appliqué decorations with a pair of chandelier earrings which helped bring the gold theme together.

This dress was amazing. I tend to shy away from satin but this dress was thick enough to hide much of what I consider "trouble areas". I was able to wear spanx but NOT a bra. I am not super comfortable without one but it was ok. you will need tape for this dress. The fit was good and the length was great for m7 5'5" frame and my 4 inch heels. A little more exposed than I normally wear but for a Mardi Gras party I think it worked really well... But again, stock up on the hollywood tape. Loved this dress. I recieved many compliments throughout the night.

It's stretch shiny satin so I would size up for sure if you are thicker on the bottom half. The color is rich and the beading is stunning. My husband loved this dress. It was easy to dance in all night little to no train so nothing fight with all night.

Fitted and beautiful red gown by Marchesa Notte! Running true to size and length, this is the next showstopping gown for your upcoming formal event! If you are curvier through the hips, I would definitely recommend to size up since there is no stretch in the fabric. There was plenty of room at the bust for my 34C size, so women with a D bust can surely make this work! At 5'6 and with 3.5 inch heels, this dress was a little shorter than I would like so if I would want to try the L next time for my height! This gown can be worn with any standard bra which makes it less of a hassle. I will make sure to rent this for my next formal event with a size bigger as my backup!

Wore this for a 1920's themed Christmas party. Normally I'd be super worried about wearing a satin gown as it's a fabric that tends not to be forgiving, however, this dress is so flattering. It's made of a thick stretch satin which really compliments the figure and hides imperfections. I have a fuller bust and had to use fashion tape around the neckline to keep everything in place. I am 5"6 and the regular dress just touched the floor in my bare feet so I had to wear flats instead of heels--not a huge deal but also not ideal.

I wear size 6 but recently started wearing 8 since my bust size has increased to 34DD. I asked for 8L but instead got a whole different dress which did not fit. I wore 10L but it was to big, the top I had to wear tub top underneath to not show to much cleavage. Then the Straps kept falling off the shoulders. I did get a lot of compliments on the dress but would have rather gotten my size instead of fighting the dress all night.

Fit well. Hard to find an appropriate bra, and while petals work, they don't give the optimal look, but it was OK.

The dress was formfitting and hugged my curves. The V-scoop is very low and I had to keep pulling at it the whole evening to keep "the girls" undercover. I loved the stretch of the satin. The length was perfect with my 5'4" height and 3" heels. The bronze of the decorative belt kept it from being too young and "prom". LOVED this rental!!!

This dress runs true to size, is gorgeous and perfect for a formal night! I a 5'3" and it was a tad short with 4" heels. I did not end up wearing it, however, because the plunge neck was a little too revealing and I cannot go braless. It would be perfect for someone who is a B or C cup and doesn't need a bra to hold up the "girls".

This was a backup dress chosen by RTR as my first and second choices ended up not being available. It wasn't the right color so I didn't end up wearing it to the event itself, but I did try it on and was pleasantly surprised by how flattering it was even though it was a sating (usually shows EVERY bump). It also held the ladies in really well considering how low cut it was. I will definitely consider it next time I need a formal dress. However, it was not terribly long, even I the "L". It barely touched the floor in my bare feet so low heels would be a must if you're very tall.

I fell in love with this dress. Very timeless and classy but the length was not long. With even 2 inch shoes it was a bit shorter than is prefer. You could see my shoes easily. Didn't like that much. The dress is beautiful though. Very classy and with some body tape there were no issues with gaping at the chest any longer.

I did not end up wearing this gown for the event I wore a back up gown. That being said this gown is gorgeous. Satin isn't typically a forgiving fabric but the way this is cut gives you a great shape. The only issue I had with the dress was that the straps seemed too large and would fall down. You could probably fix with some double sided tape but I wasn't comfortable chancing it. So if you have a shorter torso keep that in mind.

This fabric is a gorgeous color with a great weight to it. I wasn't able to wear this gown, as the straps were too long and kept falling off my shoulders. I don't think this would be an issue if you are a C cup or larger. The gown I received was new with tags on it--perfect condition.

The dress was beautiful, but I would say it definitely isn't for girls with a larger chest. The straps seemed incredibly loose, even on the size I typically wear. This could also be the nature of the fabric over time. I was totally bummed, but ended up running to Versona and Target last minute to put together an outfit.
