Had a minor setback when RTR didn't have my actual size, but they sent my backup which was one size smaller than I usually wear and it ended up working out just fine! I needed an extra set of hands to get it zipped up over my boobs, but I am top heavy and the fabric relaxed a bit throughout the night. I ASBOLUTELY recommend sizing down, especially if you don't have a big chest. The lace was thick and felt durable enough that I didn't have to worry all night about it snagging or tearing. Such a classic style, I can't say enough good things about this dress!!

Overall fit was good. I am large busted so it was snug on top and the lace doesn't have much give so there was some restricted movement with my arms. If I went up one size that would have solved the problem but the rest of the dress would have been to big. Also I love pockets but they were a little high. It was very comfortable and I would rent it again.

The fit was tighter, especially in the arms but they loosened up as the night went on. If you are in between sizes, go up a size. The sheath underneath is not sewn to the lace layer so the tighter the dress the more the lace tends to ride up. Overall this dress was great!

The back-up size 6 dress worked for me because I'm pear-shaped; I found that the 8 wasn't fitted enough. I wore the dress to a Hindu wedding, and my mother-in-law adorned me with some of her accessories and I think it worked out well--gave it some pop! For it being a classic black lace dress, it really seemed to stand out from other typical wedding guest attire. I received several compliments, too (and that was BEFORE cocktail hour :) ). I wore this to a friends wedding in the fall. It was an outdoor evening event. This dress was beyond perfect. It fit wonderful and had no signs of wear. I really wish I owned this dress.

I loved this dress! I'm thinking of renting it again for a friend's wedding. The 4 was a tiny bit big, but the arms were snug, so I couldn't go any smaller. The pockets are a great addition! Overall, great dress would highly recommend.

Fit true to size, arms were a bit snug as other reviewers mentioned but loosened up pretty quickly. Pockets were amazing! Loved the lace and the slightly lower back, wore a strapless bra which was fine.

I wore this dress for my engagement party in January. Since it was cold, I added tights and some suede black wedges. This dress fits true to size and is very comfortable. Although the arms were a little tight when putting it on, it did not bother me throughout the night. My favorite details of the dress are the lace neck line and small dip in back. It also has pockets--so I could carry my phone with me! Another plus.. did not have to wear a bra with it! I really wish I didn't have to return it!!

The dress was true to size, being that my upper body and torso are smaller than my lower body, the top of the dress still somehow fit very tight, so I would recommend reading other people's opinions to see if you think you would fit the top of the dress in case you are more top heavy. The bottom of the dress gave me enough room to eat and not feel like a stuffed sausage. The sleeves fit "tight" as well, so if your arms are not "athletic" then I would try to read people's reviews to see if your arms will fit. I recommend going with your actual dress size and then going a dress size up for the second free dress. Totally falling in love with Rent the Runway and their awesome service. I would wear this dress again and again if I got to own it.

The dress was perfect! I got so many compliments on the dress. I normally wear a size 6 but had read the other reviews that it ran small so I ordered a size 8 as back-up and wound up wearing the 8. (I couldn't even zip the 6 as I had broad shoulders). The pockets were a great addition to the dress. Worth mentioning, some of the lace (on the shoulders, probably from hanging on a hanger) has seen better days.

The fit was true to size. I did have some issues with the zipper getting stuck, but overall a beautiful dress. Pairs nicely with red pumps!

I rented this to wear to my cousin's wedding. I loved the dress and got lots of compliments throughout the night. It was comfy, I was able to wear a regular bra, and I felt great. It's definitely on the shorter side... it rides up when you sit down so I was pulling it down a lot. It also runs small. I am normally a size 6, and I ordered the 6 and 8 and ended up wearing the 8.

I ordered a 2 and a 4 in this dress. I ended up wearing the 4 because the sleeves and bust were too tight on the 2. Received lots of compliments. It was cold and raining on the night of the wedding so I ended up wearing tights and booties with the dress and it still looked dressy enough for a wedding.

Really loved this dress! At first it feels tight in the arms, but as the night went on I was fine. It's classy & sexy at the same time. Love it!

This dress was really comfortable. I ended up not wearing a bra because the top was pretty fitted. I liked that the dress wasn't too short. The lace was nice and not over the top. You could wear this with nude or black heels, either would go nicely. I would definitely rent again!

I ordered the size 12 but it came back from the previous rental too damaged and the RTR customer service did everything imaginable to make sure that I had a dress to wear to my party! I can't say enough good things about them!Unfortunately, the replacement dresses didn't fit correctly, and since they had sent the size 10 as a backup originally, I decided to go with that! It was a bit tight because I usually wear a 12, but it fit pretty well anyway! I got so many compliments on the dress and felt beautiful!

I wore the size 0 version of this dress to a Christmas party in NJ. I am 5'8" and the length was perfect, as was the weight of the fabric for the colder weather. I found it to be classy and flattering. The hidden pockets were a bonus!

I wore this dress to my boyfriends office Christmas party. The lace was classy and elegant. I received compliments all night! I usually wear a size 8 and ordered both the 6 & 8. I fit into the 6 but couldn't lift my arms up all the way. The 8 was perfect and I love the pockets! Definitely a dress I would love to have in my closet!

I rented this lacey number for my daughters high school homecoming presentation ..so proud she made court! All of the moms chose to wear black dresses. I wanted something a little different, so I went with this dress. When I received the dress it was sooooo gorgeous!!!! I instantly fell in love especially with the lace. I chose to wear the 8 over the 6 because I am large up top & the 6 flattened my chest so much it looked like I got hit with a frying pan in the chest..lol. The 8 was tight up top but bearable. It fit great in the waist with a little more room to move in the hips, but all in all great dress. I received so many compliments and the dress is definitely a must rent! I also received a goody bag of great products with my rental..thank you RTR you're the best!!!

I was looking for something appropriate but still fun/flattering to wear to an office holiday party at a museum - this was perfect! I felt very classy and especially loved the back. I usually wear a 4, sometimes a 6 - I ordered both and ended up wearing the 6 since the 4 was a little tight on my arms. Definitely recommend!

So cute! So many compliments! it photographs pretty well but I think a belt is needed to bring some definition to the waist. especially if you have a more athletic figure ! Arms were a little snug but the size 4 fit... (I'm 5'4 I normally wear a small or a medium depending, for help with sizing go to the milly website)

All the other reviews were correct in saying that the arms were tight. I definitely do not have big arms but the lace was a little restrictive in the shoulder and upper arm area. Luckily, it didn't look that way ( and it certainly didn't stop me from dancing!). I got compliments all night on this dress, would love to buy it if I could! Also, if you are 5'6" (or any taller) or have long legs this dress will be VERY short when you sit down.

I wore this to a Halloween Party where I was dressed as Kate Middleton. I felt the arms were rather tight so I sized up from a 6 to an 8. The rental fee is appropriate for the dress... and overall I was pleased.

I ordered the 6 and the 8. The 6 fit great on my bottom but was extremly tight on top, so I decided to wear the 8. It was so soft in the inside and did not feel or look too short. It was hot and sticky when we were outside so I would not reccommend for an outdoor wedding.

The dress was beautifully made and I did not have issues with the lace being worn-in. I ordered a 4 and a 6 and wore the 6, which didn't surprise me since I own 2 Milly dresses in size 6. The dress was a little loose around the waist, but the 4 was a little tight in the shoulder/arms. I opted for comfort and quite frankly the looser waist didn't bother me. I had a lot of compliments the night of and on Facebook afterwards. I opted for a classical look with big double-pearl earrings and red lipstick. It was perfect for fall and since my husband was a groomsman and had to wear a tux, it was a perfect match!

I thought this dress ran true to size. Sometimes I can wear a size zero but they didn't have that size available as a backup. However, based on previous reviews I was pretty confident that the 2 would fit, and it was perfect! It was slightly snug in the rib cage, but not uncomfortably so. I received tons of complements all night long! It also has pockets!!

I wore this dress to a fall wedding and loved it. It was a little tight in the chest area, but I found it to be okay. As other reviews have mentioned, it's difficult to raise your arms in this dress, but it's such a pretty dress that I didn't really mind.

I wore this for my senior homecoming and absolutely loved it! It runs a little small in the arms and bust but other than that it runs true to size.

The arms were a big snug, but I didn't consider it uncomfortable, it just took a while to loosen a bit. The pockets felt high, but fun to have I guess. I didn't actually use them though because they WERE so high and maybe also because the sleeves were snug. The length was great for me at 5'2 for a wedding, so I never worried about it riding up too much. I got a lot of compliments so I consider my first Rent The Runway a success. I've already ordered another dramatic gown for an upcoming photo shoot and I can't wait!

I've rented this dress a couple times now - it's perfect. I'm 5' 2" / 5' 3" and this is great for my short frame. It does run a hair small. I normally wear a 0 in dresses, but the 2 is perfect. It's super comfortable and the seam around your high waist in the liner actually helps your strapless bra feel more comfortable. The back dips down beautifully, and the lace makes this classy, with a touch of sexy. Love it.
