[Note added Sep 2012: I have lost significant weight since I rented this dress, so don't use my current "Usually wears" for evaluation. In December 2012 I was usually a 12, apple body type, bra size 38D, and weight 165.] This is a fun dress, and the design is very forgiving of flaws like love handles or bulges behind the armpit. I'm still not a huge fan of the ruffles on the bust, but my husband (who likes a large bust) approved of it. He said it enhanced my good features and glossed over the flaws. Like the previous reviewer, the dress was longer on me than on the model, but I liked it that way. The only problem with the fit was that the waist tended to rise up a little bit, but that's probably because of my body just barely fitting into the dress, rather than anything else. The fit across the shoulders and bust was good.

Once the dress came in the mail, I was ecstatic. I tried it on and ended up having to use my back up size 0 because the 2 was too large around the bust for me (I have very petite features). Even though I used my back up dress, it was absolutely fantastic. My first prom went perfect, and I'm going to rent my dress from here again next April! :)

I wore this for a company Christmas Party. It has a very vintage look--the fabric is fantastic and very classy. The keyhole back really makes it stand out. The waist is really more of an empire waist, but it was kind of in-between for me, which was not ideal. It flows beautifully and may be closer to sleeveless for you if you have broad shoulders like I do. I had both the 4 and the 6 and ended up wearing the 6, since the waist dropped a bit lower and hung better. The 4 was a bit restrictive in some areas. As usual, it was much longer on me than on the model--I'm 5'3" and it hit me mid-shin.

The fit was great, the cut was really slimming for an hourglass figure. I received lots of compliments and I felt really special in this dress!

I love this fit of this dress. I'm a pear shape. I usually wear 4/6 on the bottom and 2/4 on the top. This dress is fitted at the waist and has lots of room on the bottom. I ordered a 4 and it was a little loose. I could've maybe gone to a size 2 but I didn't order that size. I'm 5'4" so it was longer on me. For me it was more like tea length, hitting right below the calf, which I'm fine with. It actually has cap sleeves which are less noticeable in the picture. When it came to me in the box, it was folded nicely but it show wrinkles easily so I will have to get it steamed before I wear it because I want the ruffles to look nice and fluffy. I highly rate this dress because of the fit, it is really flattering and conservative. I am able to hide all my flaws in it, it is really comfortable, you can wear it with a bra and it is very elegant. I wish I could buy this dress.

I rented 3 other size 12 dresses to wear to evening events during a multi-day affair, and of them only this one didn't work out. It was very pretty, but ran too small to work for me.

I can see this dress being more flattering on someone tall and then. I'm of medium height and curvy so the ruffles looked like too much .. ruffle.
