This dress is absolutely beautiful! It was so nice, and the lace was gorgeous. A bit tight in the rib cage area, but looked fantastic and got a ton of compliments! Definitely was sad to return the dress, and would rent it again!

When the dress first arrived I wasn't sure I was going to love it. The stitching on the black lace overly of the bottom half of the dress was a little silver and and I initially didn't like it because it didn't match the rest of the fabric but it was my only wardrobe option for the wedding I was attending. Once I got ready the day of the event I was surprised to discover that I really loved the dress! It fit perfectly, wasn't tight in the hips and I didn't need my back up size. It is a little itchy when you first put it on but I didn't notice it at all the rest of the evening. The lining is a silk like material which means it doesn't stretch or breathe so I don't think I would recommend this for an outdoor event in the summer. Overall I really enjoyed this dress and would definitely recommend it.

It was a beautiful dress - I ended up going with the 6 over the 4 - it definitely runs a little small, so I would opt for the next size up when ordering. It was a great dress though - I chose it because I had a formal gala for work and a bachelorette party the same night and I wanted something I could wear to both. It was comfortable although the beading rubs against your arms a little, but not too much to be annoying. Everyone loved it and I even got compliments from strangers! It was a good choice!

My only complaint is it sometimes hurt under my arms when the dress material would rub against it. But wasn't horrible.

It fit me well, but I am not very curvy. I probably could have worn the 2, except the waist was too small. It is hard to see but there is a wide ribbon and a flat bow around the waist and there is no give in that area. Thankfully I ordered the 2 and 4! I would recommend for anyone without a lot of curves.

The dress fit perfectly. Was not too itchy under the arms. The leg movement is very restricting so small steps and not getting into a tall vehicle are recommended ! Otherwise this was one of my favorite rentals !

The gold and black combination is an elegant combination. The top is rich in color and lace detail. I wore this dress to my graduation from Nurse Anesthesia School. I was ecstatic and proud to have reached this milestone; the dress helped me reflect how I was feeling! Loved it!

First, apologies for the poor picture; my friend and I completely forgot to get some good photos of us that night. The dress fit me in both the 8 and 10, however, I knew I'd be eating a ton as well as dancing later on in the night, so I chose to go with the 10 for a little extra room. I was surprised that only the top button in back unbuttoned, however, there's a zipper on the side. The dress was a good length standing (not too short), but once seated, I had to be careful of showing too much leg! I found that the fabric around the arms rubbed me a bit, but I am known for having sensitive skin, and it wasn't bad once I stopped thinking about it. Overall, the dress is not made of very giving fabric which makes it very forgiving; I didn't wear hose with it because I didn't need to suck anything in or smooth anything out - the dress did it for me. I highly recommend this dress!

The waist fell above my natural waist (not the first time it's happened!) so I had a larger size shipped the next day. The 12 was the only larger size available, it was a bit loose but it worked out. There is no stretch at all in the waistband - so if you tend to have the same problem definitely size up!

Ordered the 4 with a 6 as back up but the under slip was a little tight so the 6 fit perfect

This dress fit perfectly and I received so many compliments. Great quality. One recommendation is to put on the dress BEFORE doing your hair and makeup since the dress material does not have much stretch. Highly recommend.

Loved this dress, although the gold is darker than it appears on the model, so it looks a LITTLE holiday-ish. Overall, it was perfect for a work awards event. I usually wear a 4 or 6 and I ended up wearing the 6... The 4 was too tight in my hips. Great dress- glad I rented it!

I normally wear a six, but the band was a little too tight for dancing, so I went a size up. The material is beautiful...just a little scratchy.

The dress is very true to size. The material does not have any stretch to it and it is very fitted. I ordered the 4 and a backup size in a 6 and the 4 was perfect! I ended up having to wear the 6 because the lace on the 4 was torn which sucked! The 6 was fine, just a little loose around the waist but nothing that was a big deal. The two sizes actually were not even that far off in difference. It was still a perfect dress to celebrate our engagement in! Be careful though as the lace gets caught on things very easily! Although i wore the 6 the 4 would have been my overall choice.

I needed a dress that could work for two different events on the same night - one with a vintage theme and one where the attire was deemed "chic." This dress was perfect for both of these events. I loved the fit, it accentuated all the positives. The first event was dressy so I wore pantyhose but it is better without.

I'm pretty small (probably a 00) so a lot of the dresses in 0 are too large. However because this dress runs small the 0 fit perfectly and was very flattering to my figure. FYI-There is no "give" to this dress. It is structured in the waist and hips which I like as it accentuates your waist. The top half is a gorgeous gold and not as tight so worked great for the conservative event I was attending.

I wish I could have had the top in a 6 and the bottom in an 8. When the dresses arrived I tried them on and the 6 fit great but was a little bit more snug in the hips than I like. However, I was going to wear it because the 8 was too big in the chest. When the event day came, I was a little more bloated then usual and I had to do the 8. It worked out fine and the only time the top looked bunchy was when I was sitting. I would highly recommend this dress. It is beautiful.

The dress arrived exactly when it was supposed to. I loved having two sizes, to make sure I got the best fit. The fit was true to size and very comfortable. (I didn't have the problem with scratchy arm holes that some women had). The earrings were gorgeous! I got a ton of compliments, and felt like a million bucks!! I can't wait for another occasion to pick another dress. Thank you!

I wore this dress for NYE-it was perfect. I was worried because I ordered the 6 and the 8 and the 8 was not available . I usually wear a 6 however the reviews recommended to size up (which i've had to do before on another tighter fitting dress). The 6 fit perfectly. I would not even had tried on the 8 if I had it. I am smaller up top so the ribbon was not tight on my rib cage/stomach area at all and I had no problems breathing! I did not have any problems with the gold being itchy under the arms and the length was the perfect (5'6 and hit above the knee). Highly recommend this dress! i wanted to wear it one more time before I had to ship it back. Definitely going to be a favorite!

I read the reviews so I knew it would run small and ordered a 12 even though I normally wear a 10. The 12 was perfect. It was a tiny bit big on top, but not really a problem - it showed off my curves in all the right places, and made me look even skinnier than normal. I absolutely loved how it looked and felt beautiful and sexy in it. The only con was sitting down had to be done carefully, but as I was standing most of the night it wasn't a big deal at all and didn't take away from how much I loved how I looked in the dress!!!

This dress is gorgeous and I received so many compliments! We had last minute NYE plans and I ordered the dress on Monday, 1/30/13 at 2:47pm. It arrived at my door the next day by 1pm. I was AMAZED! The dress was clean and perfectly laid out. I reserved both the size 2 and the 4. The 2 fit but was so tight around my ribcage area so I wore the 4 and was comfortable! I already rented 2 more dresses for upcoming events. I am officially HOOKED.

This dress was perfect. It fit like I had it made for me. The top portion of the dress was darker gold in person than it appears in the picture which I actually liked better. And the black belt has a little bow on the front which is nice, plus it makes your waist look tiny! Highly recommend this dress for any fancy occasion. I would buy it in a second!

This dress started my RTR fascination. Milly must know my taste. This dress looks expensive and hot without showing any inappropriate skin. My sister loved it so much she rented the same on that winter. I'm such a happy customer here.

I ordered the 0 and 2 since I wear both sizes depending on brand/designer. The 0 was really tight around the ribcage so I went with the 2 for comfort. It still fit really well.

The dress fit perfectly and was really pretty. My only complaint is that the material along the neckline was not pressed very well, so the dress didn't lay completely flat across the neckline. Other than that, this dress is amazing and I would highly recommend it for a formal function.

There is no stretch to the fabric which makes the dress very true to its size. I usually wear a size 8-10 but I have a little extra in the bust area so the size 8 was tight in the upper area and the size 10 was a little loose in the bust area but, it looked well fitted and very appropriate. It was comfortable, easy to dance in, looked great for the black tie wedding I attended at the Nixon Library in Yorba Linda, CA, looks great in photos, and it's an amazing classic yet sexy and elegant style and fit. The only thing I can think of that was a little "egh" material felt scratchy under the arms. Other than that tiny tiny thing, the dress was absolutely amazing.

I wore it to an evening wedding w/ a wrap & the jewelry cuff I rented as well... it was perfect! I received many compliments all night. It was a very easy process & I loved presentation in the box when it was delivered. I will definitely order from RTR again. Thank you!

The fit was great. It was a little longer than I thought, but that worked fine. The only con is that the fabric is a little itchy, so under the arms is a little irritating. Other than that it worked perfect for a formal wedding at the Four Seasons in Miami.

This dress is so detailed, it didn't need much else in terms of accessories. I just wore simple gold earrings, simple black shoes, and a black purse. Even though it was form fitting, it was still easy to dance in. I have other Milly dresses -- all size 2 -- so I almost didn't get the second size. Very glad I did because the 2 was way too tight in the bust. Overall, a great pick. I wish I didn't have to send it back!

I wore this dress to a black tie wedding. It was absolutely perfect. The dress fit really well...maybe a little tight across the bust, but nothing uncomfortable. The lace is so gorgeous. QUALITY! Pictures really don't do it justice. From the time I walked in, I received so many compliments from both men and women. The entire experience with Rent the Runway has been nothing but positive. They make it so easy to feel confident in what you are wearing. I've got other dresses reserved for another wedding next weekend. I can't wait to get them!

I'm a size zero (or size 25), small waist, but big butt for my size. I was concerned because other women had said that it was tight on the bottom, but I think the zero fit just fine (I didn't even try the size 2 on because the size 0 fit so well). I also don't have a large bust (really more of a 30A), but I didn't feel like I was swimming in it. Plus- you don't have to mess around with a strapless bra, which is a huge plus.

I was initially skeptical that the dress wouldn't fit since Milly isn't always forgiving when it comes to fuller cup sizes, but it fit perfectly!
