I was concerned that they would look gaudy in person, but they are really quite elegant, and anyone who noticed them adored them! I was also concerned that they would hurt my ears because of the other reviews that mentioned they were heavy, but I had them in my ears for 7 hours straight, and my ears didn't hurt at all! They were the perfect complement to my simple black and blue dress, and I would highly recommend them!

It definitely is a statement earrings, I did not wear it as it looked to much for the dress and the occasion. But definitely will look stunning for a very formal event.
