Effortlessly chic!! Must rent!!

My boyfriend says I dress like a witchy colonial woman (he's right), and this dress 100% fits that style, in the best way. I LOVED this dress - it's a thick black denim, which I didn't realize from the photos on the site, and I was really excited about the statement sleeve. I usually wear a 4 and wore a 4 in this dress, but I probably could have fit into a 2 if I wanted it to be more form fitting.

Cute and thick denim material. Runs a little big

This dress was way out of my comfort zone but I enjoyed wearing it. The sleeves are pretty puffy and the material is a thick black denim. The v-neck is very deep so I wore a cami under and it worked.

Low-cut on my frame. You think I would learn that 99% of the models are 5'10" and have torsos that are proportional. On me, kind of frumpy and sexy. Not what I was looking for. I sized down without having one read review because it did not look like it was a kind of dress that would look good big. It is heavy denim fabric. It will be cute on someone. Not me.

I love the way this dress looks! It's especially cool and witchy with the mask I've been wearing in public. Even though I got lots of compliments though, the dress wasn't practical. The fabric was heavy and too hot, and I couldn't lift my arms because the fabric didn't give any stretch.

Looks so cool and really flattering silhouette. Still might buy.

Fit ok

Loved the cut, loved the long zipper up front. Plunging neckline was flattering but unfortunately not right for my office or everyday. Would be cute for a date or a fancy brunch.

As one might expect from a denim dress, the fabric is a little stiff. This proved to be a bit of a problem for the hems of the sleeves, which are fitted and thus rubbed some. Otherwise, a very flattering cut for everyday wear. The zipper zips up from the bottom and down from the top so you can adjust how much leg and decolletage you wish to show.

It was super large in the chest for me as I think it would be for anyone with less than a formidable B cup. Whilst standing, it wasn't an issue, but sitting and bending became exhibitionistic. The dress fits the waist and then just bells out, and, because the fabric is thick, it keeps the stiff, round shape with no movement. It was all too much for me -- Super puffed sleeves, low cut, cinched waist, belled out skirt -- I felt like I was wearing a weird stick figure dress drawn by a 3 year old.

I typically wear a 0-2, and have a large chest. The size 0 in this item ran too large, including in the chest, so I was unable to wear it.

Not good for petite frame. Too much fabric and too long.

Size down for a fitted look

This is a very thick material which I liked but the fit was plain awkward on my body. No stretch in the denim. I liked the idea of this dress but I couldn't fill out the bust and the sleeves, although billowy, were too tight at the cuff and squeezed my upper arm in an unflattering way. Won't be wearing this. The zipper and color are cute, though!

Super cute but too small

This dress is fantastic and I can't wait for warmer weather so I can rent again. Great details and tailoring. Can be dressed up with shoes and jewelry, or just as cute with some sneakers. Just an FYI this dress is pretty low cut.

Very big, went down 2 sizes and V cut was still way lower than shown on model. Couldn't wear bra as it was visible because of the low cut. 2 way zipper, very versatile.

The arm holes are really small. The dress itself was good I just have chicken fat arms and they did not work with this dress

Sometimes I size up in Mara (especially the linen bottoms or fitted dresses) but this one does not call for it! Rented a 2 and it was far too big in the waist, luckily was able to reorder a 0!!

V neck is too low. The poofy sleeves were very tight on my arms, which aren't big. The fabric isn't black, its a very washed out grey. And the fabric was all rumpled like how jeans get when they are very very worn out and won't hold their shape anymore. I liked the small empire waist and the idea of the zipper but overall it was a big unflattering mess.

I couldn't wear this dress because of my curves and athletic arms. The band on the sleeve runs tight as well does the bust. I'd recommend this dress for the less curvy person! It really is a very cute dress though!

The dress was too large. However, the details on the dress were nice. It has a zipper on the front and the length of the slit can be adjusted

I was so excited about this dress that I was even thinking about buying it. Thus far on RTR I've been a perfect size 20 except a little smaller in the bust. This didn't even zip up on me

very tight around waist and chest, was probably 6" from fitting in chest.

I am usually a 22 but I chose the 20 but I don't think a 22 would have fit either.
