Lovely dress! Heavy but stretchy material with a beautiful cut that hugs the torso and has a beautiful hang. I like that the back is a bit scooped! Was warm enough to wear as is under a coat on less-cold winter days and dressed well with a chunky sweater and belt for colder days. Wore several times and really loved it!

This was actually one of my backups, and I ended up loving how comfy the material was. I was about 28 weeks for my photos which were taken early October. The brown was actually really nice against the background where we were. The material is like a stretchy sweater. The only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars was for the odd seam line that runs along the side of the chest.

I ended up sizing up so it wasn't too firm fitting. Maybe a mistake? Interesting fabric and cut, not the most flattering on this covid bod. But made our small quarantine thanksgiving at least a bit more special and fun. Very comfortable.

I'm obsessed with this dress. The cut and neckline are so flattering (I love ballet necklines), the fabric is thick and stretchy, I love the warm color and the visual interest of the slightly striped rib knit. I worried it wouldn't stretch enough for my 32-week bump, but i sized up one and it felt and looked incredible. The stretch and lower back, I think, helped prevent the back bunching that sometimes happens with a baby bump. So many compliments and felt comfortable and beautiful all day.

I'm 5'3" and short-torso'd, and I was surprised to find this dress incredibly flattering for my petite frame. I worried it might be a little long, but with heeled booties it looked great! I wore it in cold weather with stockings, but it would make a nice fall piece with sandals. Didn't need a special bra to wear it, felt breathable, and felt casually glamorous all day. The color is true to the photo -- a lovely cognac brown. Now I just have to decide if I should buy it!

Looks like a sack on the hanger but is insanely flattering, warm and pretty with ribbed details and a low-cut back. Don't want to return it :( it's perfectly seasonal and I may hold onto it through Feb

I wore this dress to work and then to dinner, and it worked well. I really like it, and got a lot of compliments on it. I didn't want to suck it in all day, so went up in size and it worked well. Add a belt and some boots and it looks great for winter.

Received many compliments . Dress is form fitting and thick material . Kept me warm . Wore this to a thanksgiving potluck and it was perfect . Could use spanks underneath. Good for me because I'm tall so it was still flattering but classy!

I wore this dress with brown tights and tan flats. It's definitely more of like a burnt orange/dark brown/black striped than a chocolate brown color. It's very comfortable but very form fitting. The back is a little low cut, and my bra straps showed, so I wore a strapless bra with it and it worked out fine.

This fit way better than I expected! I rented on a whim for a weekend in Chicago with varying weather. It was comfortable, thick, and warm but not overwhelming. Ended up wearing to a concert. Was way more flattering that I expected and I received so many compliments. A great rental!

Loved this dress. Much more exciting on than on the hanger - really flattering and feminine. Love how the skirt moves. Paired it with a black bootie.

Very snug, would size up. I wore a shaper under as well to help define the curves of the dress. Comfortable and easy to throw on. Nice look!

I loved the surprising lower back on this dress. I paired it with brown cowboy boots. The material is heavy which is nice this time of year but was not the most flattering for my midsection.

The dress fits and feels amazing, quite flattering overall however the neckline was a bit low in the back so I ended up wearing a turtle neck underneath as I wore this to work and then an after work social event

this dress was so simple and pretty. I am a 6 and the medium fit a little large in the waist, but not too bad. buying this, I would size down. the weight was perfect for early spring and it suited work/dinner/daytime perfectly. strongly considering buying. love the colour on my brown skin too.

Beautiful Mara Hoffman dress. Warm, rich brown color, very long (mid calf), pretty scoop neck in the back, but you can wear a normal bra.

This is a great fitting dress, and the fabric is not too heavy. I paired this with tights and booties. If you are wearing this work as this teacher did, then have a nice scarf that will cover your back. It is a little low in the back, and I did not want everyone to see my Prince tattoo. I received many compliments on the fit.

I loved this dress! The fabric in a good weight and the color a beautiful rich autumn brown. The cut could be seen as plain, though the fabric's ribbing gives it a slight pattered appearance. Wore it twice, Lots of compliments both occasions.

It's a heavy material, and flattering fit. A lil too heavy for wear in April in the south but would rent it in colder months again.

I read some reviews and was hopeful this dress would fit me as a midi, like intended. I knew this was a risk since I'm so petite. I ordered the smallest size and was so bummed that it hit my ankles. Given the material, taping it up would have been difficult. Perhaps if I had wider hips or a larger chest it wouldn't have hit so low, but all-in-all the look wasn't what I was going for.

I wore this dress to work once with a black blazer. It was a nice change of pace, but not really my style. The brown has black undertones (minute stripes) and the fabric is heavy/ good quality. The scoop neck was a little lower than I'd like and I felt that I swam in the dress without the blazer.

For a size large it seemed tight on me. I'm 5'7, 142 and I thought it would be looser. The fabric and quality of construction were good. I was happy with the length. Perfect for work. I paired it with a mohair duster of my own, just because the back of the dress being scooped kind of bothered me.

I love this dress! It's warm and heavy. The color is actually brown with black stripes. It is not tight in the hip area, so it's very flattering; however, the chest area and arms were tight. I loved it from the waist down, but I wore a small jacket on top because it was so tight. At 5"4, this dress was just above my ankles.

Dress hugs your body and shape wear might be needed. My husband loved this dress on me. I paired it with some black booties.

Loved the fabric and the quality. But, as I wore the dress, the back seemed lower and lower and the neckline in front higher. Eventually the neckline was at my choker.
