The previous review were right, I sized up because the waist runs very small. It fit perfectly!

I'm 5'11" 130 lbs, I wanted a more snug fit and got the 36. It fit perfect. It has deep pockets!!!! I got this for a carnival themed party it was perfect.

This whole dress had to be ironed and I'm wearing a corset, slip and petticoat under it to give it this shape

This dress felt like an Audrey Hepburn dream! Very fitted through the chest and waist- I had to use fabric tape at the bust, but wide full skirt and shoulders. It’s a very soft poplin that was light and cool for hot summer days. It was tea length on me. Overall very charming and classic.

It's a lot of dress. I'm typically a 4 or 6 I hate to iron, so I wasn't a big fan of this dress. Not very flattering.

Fit me perfectly up top but the bottom seemed a little over the top for my taste for everyday.

This dress is fitted at the waist, as everyone mentioned. Additionally, it is almost impossible to wear with a chest due to the spaces in between the buttons ..unless you wear it how I did with a tank underneath. It's perfect this way. My sister is obsessed with this dress on me and almost wants to purchase one of her own. Additionally, my Area Manager said I look like I came out of a magazine today. I'm seriously considering buying this.

So many compliments, I'm obsessed with this dress! The directions of the stripes create a great waistline illusion and the top part of the dress is unique and super cool.

I'm usually between a 2 and 4 but I sized up because I had a inkling this dress would run small. The 6 fit perfectly! I would definitely size up even more if you have a bigger chest though. Love the full skirt! Got a lot of compliments! Cannot afford to buy, but really wish I could.

Reminds me of a Lucille Ball dress. Love the full skirt. Fun summer print. The top runs super small so I left it unbuttoned with a white tank under. Didn't bother the look at all. I still loved it. More reviews @itsminefornow

Like everyone else said the dress is gorgeous but fits tight in the rib cage. Had to size up & there was a little gap at the button there.

chest area fit snug against my AA chest--- really? Guess my ribs are large, causing gapping at the front buttons if I didn't check myself. Length is great and fabric is great for summer.

This dress is beautiful! I'm usually between and 8/10 and got the 10 because of the buttons down the front. However, it still pulled so I was unable to wear it. It's also quite long on a short person like me. I'd recommend sizing up if you have a fuller chest.

Top was so small that even after sizing up I couldn't move freely (or risk a wardrobe malfunction). This dress was definitely not designed for women with busts. The dress fell just above the ankles even though I am tall. It needs a nice pair of pumps to make it a glamorous look. However it may be tricky for shorter ladies to wear because it is so long.

PROS: I work at a school whose school colors are red and white. So this was a perfect work dress for me. There is so much fabric in the skirt! You can't help but feel special wearing this. I probably would have bought if it were not so pricey.

Cheery pattern. Pert collar. Crisp cotton. Enviable cut. But. Too narrow through the ribcage for my taste. Sadly.

This was a delight to wear but as many other reviewers note, there is some unfortunate gaping between the buttons. It's very tight in the waist and isn't very accommodating of larger breasts. I enjoyed wearing it but definitely had to be mindful of how I sat and moved in it -- which kind of takes away the carefree nature of it.

Rented this in my normal size and was unable to pull together to button around waist or chest.

Super flattering, comfortable and sooo cute! It has a very vintage feel. I rented this for a formal Christmas dinner and got so many compliments. It runs small in the chest so Im glad I listened to the reviews and sized up. Absolute must! I would've bought it but it was very Christmas themed.

Super comfortable and love the very slight dolman sleeve. Unlined. Ran true to size or a smidge large. The waist sat a little low on me so I belted it with a wide belt for some definition. Even though I am a tall gal, this dress also hit my legs a little lower than the image.

I have a large bust and a small waist (Bust of a size 10, waist of a size 8, hips of a size 12) and this dress fit my waist almost perfectly so if you find that your midsection is often what makes a shirtdress pull, then I would size up. There was a little bit of pulling on the bust but nothing that a little fashion tape didn't fix. I vacillate between a 10 and 12, depending on the brand and since the 12 was slightly tight in the bust, I would definitely size up in this if you have a large bust (maybe even size up 2). It was also great length for me, but I imagine it would be very overwhelming for anyone shorter than 5'7".

Beautiful dress that is very flattering. Runs a little big though so I would size down next time. Pockets are large and useful. It does wrinkle though which became noticeable about halfway through the day. Overall highly recommend though!

light fabric / really flattering

Love this dress and l got loads of compliments. However the gap between the two buttons at the waist kept popping out when I sat or just was not standing 100% straight, and it wasn't because the size was too small. I love the full fabric and how it moves when you walk. It's so feminine. Needs ironing or course and does wrinkle.

I sized up 2 sizes and it was a little big all over but too tight in the busy for me still. Better for small chested people.

I read the fitting guidelines extensively, and am pretty solidly a size 4. This was tight across the busy, and pulled the buttons . Not flattering unless you are very thin. Sent back without wearing.

The waist is super tight, and I have a 25in waist and the 34R was too small for me.

Other reviews mentioned the small chest area but because I'm small busted- I figured this would fit just fine. It did not. It's a small below the bust but before the navel; usually a very flattering fit for my shape but this did not work at all for me. I'm usually a 4/6 my safe is usually a 6. I'm a 36B and 5'7 and 148 lbs. I couldn't even wear this one. :/

I didn't wear this dress because the waist is TINY. There is a lot of skirt, but to pull this dress off, you need to be tall.

This dress was... odd. I ended up not wearing it out of the house, as it made me look like molten Christmas. I would not recommend it if you have boobs. Possibly the volume and the neck (which really must be buttoned all the way I think? It doesn't fall well unbuttoned) would look chic if you have a thin, straight build or carry ALL your weight below your waist.
