This dress is beautiful! It is worth noting that the lining/slip underneath runs VERY small if you are widest at the hips like me. I fit into the 6 everywhere but the slip, which I could not get over my hips, so definitely size up if you are like me!

This dress runs almost exactly one size small. I always wear a 4 in dresses and the 6 (the 38) fit absolutely perfect and I didn't have a centimeter to spare! I am a small 34B in the chest and there was no room to be bigger than that! I can't imagine anyone with a larger chest being able to fit into this dress. That being said, I was so thrilled that it fit because it was extremely flattering and the length was perfect. I am 5'4 and it was a great length just to my knees. The only negative was that the dress arrived VERY wrinkled and had a rip along the seam of the zipper. I had to take it to my drycleaners and they mended the zipper and pressed it and it looked like a new dress when I picked it up. It needed a little more TLC to get it up to wearable condition. All in all, I was so happy and comfortable in the dress and got tons of compliments!

This was sent as an emergency back up dress because the dress I had ordered a few months ago became unavailable. RTR sent me 3 sizes to make sure I had a perfect fit as some reviews said dress ran small and others said it ran big. The 40 (size 8) fit the best -- I could have worn the 38 (6) in a pinch. Color was stunning and cut was stylish but age appropriate (I am 57). You need a strapless bra and the dress needs a heel to elongate the look. Easy to dance in as well!

As other reviewers have said, the inner lining is a bit tight. But overall beautiful dress, interesting neckline, another great RTR!

Best for people who are long a lean. It runs on the longer side but hits right above the knee. Plan to wear one size up and go up 2 sizes for your back-up size. The material in person is gorgeous, rich and elegant. It is more vibrant that in the modeled picture.

The dress I originally ordered was not available and the RTR team sent me this one instead- i don't think the original dress I ordered was as stunning as this one! The color is phenomenal- I don't thing pictures do it justice. I also really liked the length. I was looking for something classy and a bit conservative, but still flattering and this one hit all of those right on. My only issue was that I have been consistently a size 4 and that equivalent size was sent to me- the rib cage area was a bit tight and i think I would have been more comfortable in a size up, but that didn't stop me from loving every minute in this dress!

Too tight to zip up around chest.

I wore this dress for my boyfriend's sister's wedding. It was a beautiful color and fun to dance in. However, I had to use the fashion tape to help hold the dress shoulder strap in place because it kept falling down. In addition, I had to wear a belt in order to cinch in the waist. I think I could have worn a smaller size, but didn't want the dress too tight on my hips.

This was the first time I rented and it was a great experience. I got a lot of compliments on the dress. It was simple yet elegant. It was east to dance in, eat in, and party in! I would definitely recommend getting the matching blue drop earrings. It was a great dress to hide any "middle" section you might want to hide!

RTR sent this to me as a backup size when the original requested dress was not available in my backup size at the last minute. I had requested a size 4/6 in the other dress. They sent me the 44 in this dress (8/10) and therefore it was HUGE. I contact customer support and they overnighted me to the hotel 2 other alternative dresses for the mishap :-)

I chose a different RTR dress to wear to my husband's office Christmas party. The fabric and color made it seem more appropriate for a wedding than a Christmas party. I didn't think the dress was very sophisticated either.

The draping was beautiful, and it was very easy to move in. But it looked a little "bridesmaid" - adding a belt definitely helps that problem and to define the waist/side ruching. Also, the inner lining (which is a lighter blue) kept coming up along the top and was obviously noticeable. This one wasn't for me - I went with another dress for the wedding.

I ordered this dress in a 38 and 40. The 38 overall fit very well. However, the length of the skirt does not work for those of us who are vertically challenged. The hem hit just below my knee cap and the skirt has a slight pouf to it, so it looked very frumpy on me. For taller people, I'm sure this would be a great dress. The color is beautiful (it is a little more royal blue than it appears in the picture).

I rented this for a formal event. The quality of this dress was beautiful, I would recommend it. However, the fit did not work for me, I have hips and I found that it was not so flattering on me.

Really pretty dress, but the other reviews were correct that it hit at an awkward place on the legs (maybe two inches below the knee) and just looked incredibly frumpy (I'm 5'4"). My desired size was out of stock, and I ordered a larger size, but it was also just too big everywhere. Maybe order slightly up from your normal size, but not a full size larger? In any event, it was moot, due to the hem length.

I wear a 2/4, so ordered both of those sizes. The 4 was so tight I couldn't get it zipped around my ribcage, which is the smallest part of me. The lining underneath was already ripped because its so tight that whoever had it before me had tried to wrestle in on with no success. Disappointing because the color and material are very pretty. Of course the RTW people were great and I got my money back since I couldn't wear it.

Too big in hips and torso, too tight around chest. It's beautiful but just didn't fit my body.

I originally ordered a different dress for my main dress and had to pick a back up at the last minute. Both happened to be from the same designer. This designer did not design dresses for fuller busted women. I usually wear an 8 and I couldn't even zip the 10 over my bust. Sadly, I had to find something in my closet because none of the three dresses fit.

The reviews said to rent up a size, and I did but the dress was enormous. I wore it out to dinner the night before, but it was far too large and quite disappointing. It was an unusual shape as well, and did not sit nearly as symmetrically as the stock photo shows. The hem hit slightly below my knees; I wouldn't recommend it to anyone short.
