I wear an 8/10 in everyday clothes. This sweater dress fit perfectly. It was slightly more fitted around the chest area and relaxed from the waist down.

I would say this dress runs true to size across the shoulders but is Big everywhere else. This would be a good maternity dress;) The fabric is warm, soft and of high quality so the unstructured loose fit did not bother me, it was a pleasure to wear! Oh! And pockets!!! I love this dress and wish it were mine!

Sleeves were tight ( not the kind you pull up) and dress was baggy but still looked so cute and I loved the length and the pockets. SUPER warm for a cold winter getaway.

This dress is pretty and all, but tough for my pear shape. It did not cover enough on bottom - wouldn't even feel comfortable with leggings - but also too big/shapeless on top. Gave me no waistline. Was just blah, but could work well on a different body shape.

Comfy casual but still has fun feel/flare plus has pockets so how could you go wrong?! Has gold tint. It is on the shorter side and thought twice about wearing it to work but I did anyway with opaque tights but I am on the shorter side so long legs beware.

Thick but comfy, not scratchy at all. Mix of dark navy and black with delicate bronze jacquard embroidery.

I wore this to Christmas Eve brunch & a gift exchange & I plan on wearing it to work tomorrow. I'm 5'7" so it was a little too short to wear as an actual dress but I thought it looked cute with leggings & flats anyway. I walked around all day with my hands in my pockets. It's definitely a heavier-weight fabric as others have mentioned but it was perfect for a 50-degree day - no coat required!

The dress is a prety sweater dreas with a boxy cut. It runs a bit large, but sleeves are fitted. This fit me perfectly! Its a little on the short side, so I paired with black tights. Perfect winter party dress!

This item is very tight in the arms. I usually wear a size 8 dress and a 38 did not fit well at all so I sent it back for a 40 which is still a little tight in the arms still but is wearable at this point. My arms are average to muscular from yoga so not huge or anything. The dress is cute. Note: It is navy not black.

Super super tight in the upper arms and bust. My arms are thin to average, and the dress was beyond tight there... no stretch at all. It's a beautiful dress and gorgeous material, but if I sized up it would just be baggy... Oh well. I wish I'd gotten to wear it, it would've made a nice winter dress.

The details on the front are beautiful and the fabric is thick. I was really looking forward to wearing this dress as a tunic with leggings but the sleeves were so tight! I am a size 8 and my arms barely fit into the sleeves. The body of the dress fit fine but the arms were so tight I started to panic. I actually had my husband help me slide the dress off arms first because the sleeves were so tight.

This is a perfect dress for a petite to wear in winter. It is warm, flattering, and stylish with boots. The subtle glitter pattern in copper is ideal for a work to evening transition. Beware if you are tall, as I think the dress will be too short. As for me, I'd buy it if I could. It's a beautifully cut and understandably expensive dress, even with RTR discount.

This hit a little short so I wore it with black tights so it would work in a slightly conservative office setting. As other reviewers mention, the sleeves are tight - not the kind you can push up, even a little. And it is WARM which is good for cold days or cold offices. Will wear a second time before sending back and will rent again.

This dress is very thick and heavy perfect for a cold temp event. I wore it inside and roasted. If fits perfect and the most flattering sweater dress I've ever worn, I just chose the wrong occasion to wear it

After reading the reviews about how large this dress is, I ordered a 34 thinking that as someone who is usually between a 2 and 4, the 4 should fit, and even if its a little big, it's a sweater dress and will look good. If you are tall or have any width in your shoulders, size up! I'm 5'9, slim and have somewhat broad shoulders. The 34 wasn't long enough to cover my bum, the shoulders were SO tight, and the sleeves ended about four inches above my wrists. This dress was so small, I wondered if RTR got petites and didn't include that in the listing, or maybe washed and shrunk the dress? Other than the sizing issue, the color and design were beautiful and the material was thick and cozy. Wish I could have worn it, and will rent again in a larger size.

The dress fit great but was really short on me (im 5 10). Reviewers are all saying it runs big but be cautious if your tall.

My only concern with this dress is that The fit/cut across the shoulder felt a little tight. Lifting my arms up felt restricted but the dress in all other areas was fine. The material was thick and warm and did not feel itchy against my skin as I thought it would. The detail/pattern on the front is subtle but pretty. Paired with tights and boots for a nice winter look.

Absolutely gorgeous dress! The detail is stunning, a perfect dress with boots. The dress is slightly oversized which I know is the look but it does flare out...I would try sizing down next time.

I am hoping to rent this in a larger size. A 38 is not a medium. I couldn't get my arms in the dress and over my head. So it wasn't just tight. I couldn't get it on. It looked really nice. I think I would need at least 42.

I saw someone else had rented my size (38 - Medium) and that they provided measurements. The length they had stated for the dress in the back was 31". When I got it, I tried it on and it was so, so short and the arms were not long enough. I was curious, so I measured the back to see if the measurements were the same and mine was only 28". This dress will not work for me. It was a beautiful dress but way to small.

Was too heavy for the weather to wear this dress, plus it was way too short and was not work appropriate. But the design really was beautiful and the overall details of the dress were high quality. So small! Couldn't even fit over my arms/torso

I wore it to a work holiday party and received a number of compliments. The sleeves were very narrow, a bit restrictive of movement in the shoulder and it was very difficult to even push up the sleeves when washing my hands. I felt like a bigger size would have provided a more comfortable fit but a baggier/less flattering appearance-pick your poison.

If you are a straight and narrow body, this will probably fit but hourglass and athletic types be warned: there is no stretch and the shoulders are so tight I couldn't get it on.

The sweater-style knit is super thick and kind of bulky. I'm 5'6" (which isn't super tall) and the hem hit very high on my leg. I can see this being fine if worn with leggings, but it would need a thin slip underneath to lie smoothly, and then you're dealing with a whole extra layer that might add more bulk. I love the look of it on the model, but this piece didn't make it in time for my vacation packing, so I never got to wear it anyway.
