I wore this to a social distancing outdoor gathering. It was nice and stretchy and I got a ton of compliments! Straps are a little long and not adjustable, but it wasn't a problem.

Soft, comfortable denim dress with a lot of structure. Wore to summer party, errands, casual Friday at work. Bought it!

I decided to pair with a white collar shirt to wear at a work event.

Very cute, a bit snug up top but not too bad. Can wear with a shirt underneath or not depending on the season. Would definitely rent again to wear with no top on underneath!

As the reviews say beware of curves and size up the 8 fit well straps were super long though so I pinned them down

If you're between sizes, size up. Fabric has stretch but for the buttons to stay closed it has to fit exactly right! Can be worn with a strapless bra/no bra. Easy to dress up or down!

What a great dress! Fits true to size. Can be dressed up with some wedges or down with some sneakers. Looking forward to layering over a button down when the weather gets cooler!

I liked this a lot, but the fit is a bit weird. I sized up since I was afraid it wouldn't button at the chest at my normal size. It was snug at the chest, but too big in others. Like others have said, the straps are long and I looked weirdly bulky in the middle. Nonetheless, I got tons of compliments and generally enjoyed wearing it to work.

Fit true to size, typically I am 0-2, but went with a 2 on this one and am happy. I received so many compliments, it's perfect for any day outing! Would definitely rent again.

Absolutely loved this Jean dress. I was worried that it was out of my comfort zone and the reviews had me thinking it would be baggy. But this little number hugged my curves in all of the right places. Plus it has just the right amount of stretch to give it that curve hugging fit. It gave me that little bit of sex appeal while still looking like I wasn't trying.

My first pick denim dress wasn't available so I picked this one instead and I'm so glad I did! Very flattering, I wore it all weekend. I will absolutely rent again.

I don't typically rent basic dresses like this from a brand like Madewell because I prefer to rent statement prices from $$ brands, but I chose it because I wanted something to wear several times on a low key vacation with my family. It's great for travel because it's comfortable, yet polished (and I got a ton of compliments). My advice: buy it so that you can use one of your slots to rent something more expensive ;)

Only con was the straps were a little longer than I would have liked but did not affect the dress at all

I rented this for a weekend birthday party. I have never tried Madewell, so I wasn't sure of the sizing. I got the 12 because I figured a full jean dress would be binding, but this was fairly large on me. Also, it seemed to stretch out throughout the day. I paired this with some cognac flats and bag. Threw the downtown field jacket from jcrew (the green one that every other woman has) over it because it was a rainy, chilly day. You have to unbutton the buttons to get it on. It was very slimming (at least before it stretched). I got this new, with tags. It made me want to try some more things from Madewell, now that it's on RTR.

This dress is comfortable and cute. It was a little long for my 5'4" frame, but I do prefer petite dresses. It was also a little big but I would prefer too loose instead of too tight. I belted it and that helped.

This dress fit true to size. I am 5'9" and wear size 6 or 8 in dresses. The 8 was the right size for me but the fit was odd. The straps were a little long and the chest was snug. The length hit right at the knee. If paired with jacket, cardigan or shrug It would be fine for work.

Perfect fit! Perfect around the waist, chest, and length. Structured enough to show off your shape and waist but not tight or stiff. Very comfortable and so so cute

I wear the 2 in the similar Madewell linen dress, but I should've sized up to a 4 for denim. It buttons but it's tight. I like these types of silhouettes though. Plan on wearing but will refrain from breathing. lol.

The material is thick so if you have small boobs you will be totally flattened. Otherwise comfy and warm and fun to layer with turtlenecks

While it fit and I was able to wear, I wish I had sized up to a 10 to accommodate my bigger chest. It's very cute with sneakers and a t-shirt layered underneath.

I got a size 14, usually I am a 10/12 in Madewell. I could not even button the front. I'm not sure what is up with the sizing, but in my opinion runs way small or I had a defect.

Wanted to love this but it didn't work out. Rented for a casual outdoor wedding but it fit too snug to feel comfortable in it. Also couldn't make a bra work.

I thought this would be form- fitting and flattering, but it sort of felt more like little house on the prairie to me. Cute, but just ok.
