A great quality jean. Definitely on the baggier side, but that's what I loved about them. They're called barrel, but they are a very relaxed barrel, not as aggressive of a curve.

For the girlies with narrow hips, a small booty, and a large chest, these balance the body and are SO comfy!

Fits true to size!

These fit slightly smaller than other Madewell jeans on me--I went up one size from my typical Madewell size as they have zero stretch. I like the "low" profile balloon shape that these have; they're on trend without being overpowering. NOTE: They are definitely a faded black, not a pure black like in the pictures!

the length is perfect on me. the sizing is a bit weird though as i have other madewell jeans in sizes 26-27. very happy with these and would purchase!

I’ve worn the heck out of these. Photo doesn’t do them justice. The black color and fit go with everything, and the style is very current. I am going to buy these in the next size down! (I’m postpartum and they fit now but I’ll need a smaller size in the coming months)

I know barrel jeans aren’t for everyone, but I loved these! I’d consider TTS, initially I thought they were going to be too tight in the hips but quickly loosened up. Got lots of wear out of these!

Wore multiple times. Ordered my regular size and it fit great. Stretched out a little bit not bad. Good for everyday and dressed up for work. Waist and hips were nicely fitted which balanced out the wider leg

These fit TTS or one size down. I am normally a 26, but Madewell runs large so I got 25. They were a little snug in the waist at first but as with all jean they stretched after wearing. Then the waist fit fine, and the length was good! Seems like people are getting the wrong size?

Absolutely love these jeans I’m 5’1 and I wore a 3 inch bootie and they looked good!

I'm between a 29 and 30 in jeans and I think RTR recommended the 29 (or the 30s weren't available?), either way, the 29s weren't terrible, but they were a bit snug in the waist and crotch, which got a little uncomfortable. I should've sized up. Overall, they are a nice fitting denim and a perfect length for short gals like me. I have short legs so I usually shy away from barrel leg but these were more subtle so they didn't look overly "barrel-y."

These jeans were so flattering. Definitely on the longer side, so they need a heel if you’re not tall, but they make your legs look so long. The sizing was a little tough for me - the waist was quite big but it fit my legs. But that happens a lot for me with jeans. They are stretchy though so if you’re in between, I would size down.

Jeans fit perfectly, and the barrel shape is so cute. Loved these because the black wash wasn't faded but more of a true black. Only reason I didn't keep these is because it's my first month and wanted to try more things out .

There were very comfortable and fit well. Perfectly baggy.

Super cute with just enough of the barrel leg fit. A bit high waisted and runs maybe a smidge small compared to other madewell jeans.

Comfortable fit

Madewell, in my experience, runs big. I got these in a 26 and they’re perfect. For reference, I typically wear 27 or 28. They’re a perfect length and rise, comfortable for all day wear. Nothing over-the-top exciting but an excellent staple denim.

Great barrel jean

These fit well but were average as far as cut for balloon barrel jeans--they seem more like straight legs and I was looking for a good pair of black barrel jeans to rent/buy. Nice length for petites.

I was really excited about the balloon barrel cut, but it didn't really deliver. I wore these a ton, but they were pretty basic.

Some jeans are too barrel leg but this one was perfect!!

Perfect length for summer/spring/fall with loafers. Needed another inch if you're going to wear with boots. No stretch, slightly faded black, which may not be obvious from the picture.
