I think these were cute from some angles and not as flattering from others. They feel a bit bulky and don't have a lot of give. I will say I was the first person to wear them (they still had the tag) so maybe they'll break in a bit with time. If you're looking for that style, go for it!

These jeans fit pretty well, but felt a little tight around the bottom area. The material is a little more stiff than I like, but overall, they are super cute. I wore them with boots and the length was perfect for my height. I am 5 foot four.

First time I’ve tried madewell and I read to go up a size in this style. The hips fit, but I still had to wear a belt to keep the waist from gaping. The length is good for petites. I wore them with flat sandals once, but the wide legs looked better with a little bit of a heel to keep them from bunching. I’d probably stick with your normal size if you have a smaller waist.

Baggy, and the inseam seemed really long. Didn't look right.

As others have said there’s no stretch here - I liked them but wish they had a slightly higher rise

At first I thought it was going to be too small around the waist but after wearing it around for a bit, it felt just right!

I'm a true size 4, I expected the waist on this to be a tad snug. I did find myself pulling down on the legs because they were almost too short (I'm only 5'5"). I liked how the wide leg was trendy without being baggy.

Snug but great fit on my body. The length fit me so well which is rare in jeans and I think it was the perfect leg width for wide leg jeans. The material was a little weird. Hard to explain but not like a soft jean material.
