Size down. I went with the XS and it was perfect. Perfect to wear for Yellowstone adventures with leggings. Lined and warm with roomy pockets.

This is a statement jacket. I got a ton of compliments. I took Fall photos with my kids and I'm glad I didn't buy it because everyone has seen me in it too much lol!

I rented this for a trip to Aspen. It's light but super warm. The pockets are perfect for your phone or holding gloves or a beanie. It is a boxier fit but had room to accommodate my larger hips and still button. I wore shopping in Aspen and had multiple compliments on it. Being a plus size girl I tend to stay away from larger prints/plaid but I'm loving the way this jacket looks and fits.

This is definitely an oversized jacket but was just what I was looking for for that northeast transition from fall to winter. Love it over more form fitting outfits. It's super warm which is a bonus!

Loved this piece and wore it several times. It’s oversized enough to wear a sweater or sweatshirt under which is nice. It’s also lined so it’s not itchy at all. Definitely has a slouchy look it but it was very cute!

Worn for a ski trip in Washington. Warm enough for some spring hiking with light snow. Loved the color and the quality. I would size down next time.

This "shacket" is amazing. It definitely is oversized but the large fit me exactly how I wanted it to! It is super soft, cozy, and warm! My favorite thing about this is that compared to most other jackets like this, the material isn't stuffy and that hard cotton texture. You really could wear this anywhere even to just lounge in. I almost don't want to return it!

This was very cute and trendy. I loved the oversized fit. The only complaint was that it was pretty heavy and it got much warmer than I had anticipated so I didn't wear it that much. I am planning to rent this in the fall/winter.

Wore this to a winery. It was cozy and looked great for the ambiance! I will say it looks like it pills easily so I'm glad that it was just a rental.

Pretty much what I expected it to be-- but maybe a bit better! Boxy style, great to wear with bulkier sweaters.

I didn’t wear it much because I ended up not taking the trip I planned it for and it’s too hot right now. But it’s great quality, lined so pretty heavy weight. Would be a great winter/fall jacket where I live (California)

Lucky enough to visit CO in October. This jacket kept me warm without feeling too heavy or cumbersome. The plaid print added interest, and the size was just right to bring on a plane. I enjoyed it!

Loved this jacket for quick trips out or to stay cozy in the house. Definitely runs big and sizing down was the appropriate decision; still able to wear thick layers comfortably. Would consider this a smart rent or even purchase, Madewell always does you right.
