Absolutely loved this dress. Perfect dress for a wedding guest. This was a black tie wedding and worked perfectly with low heels and a yellow bag (also rented). I am 5'1" and the length was perfect, hitting mid calf.

This dress hugged me but not so tight that I looked chubby. It was super pretty and simple. If you want to have something different, this probably isn't the dress, just because it is so simple. It doesn't feel plain though, it felt just right and very pretty.

This dress was amazing. It fit perfectly for someone sorta pear shaped and since the straps adjust, my height didn't really affect anything. The waist coulda been a tiny bit smaller so maybe if I'd been able to size down I would have had a perfect fit. I loved the weight of the dress and how it draped across my body. Seriously, this dress was amazing.

I loved this dress. I wore this to a black tie optional wedding but you could easily dress it down to cocktail. I would wear this again.

Loved this dress. It was a little tight in the hips which made it feel crooked on (little tight sitting down). But I didn't recognize this as much through out the night. Loved the color and was sleek and sexy. Thinking of renting it again already!

The small worked but wanted a little more give in the hips so wore the medium. Comfortable and classic look.

Similar to other reviews, the side seams of the dress widen at the hips. For a body type like mine (very small bust, but curvier hips/butt), the XS fit perfectly. I ordered the small as a backup but that was too loose, even when my normal bottom size is between size 2-4 or small/medium. FYI this dress doesn’t have a back or side zipper, so keep that in mind for getting on/off.

While it is a slip dress, the fabric is substantial. It hangs lovely and is not too revealing. The only slight issue I had is that it felt a bit lopsided on me. I ordered both the small and medium, and the medium felt and looked much better. Overall, I loved it!

Others commented on the hips bulging out. I thought it gave a nice hourglass shape and found it to fit very well. A bit tight in the chest but still good.

Satin like dress. Fabric is not thin at all. Good quality better if it was actually silk. Good to rent if you are interested in trying out the trend.

The cut of the side seam was weird. Stuck out at hips. Lovely color and fabric. Low cut.

I loved this dress! The fabric is a winner and the cut made this “straight and narrow” girl look a bit curvier than reality, which was a lot of fun. The dress is so simple and navy is a conservative color, but it’s got real under the radar sexiness.

This dress is so flattering and comfortable. It's so simple yet looks so high end when worn. Absolutely recommend!

The color is beautiful and a bit darker than the pictures make it seem. The dress is great shaped but you NEED hips to wear this, it'll be great if you HAVE hips. You usually can't say that about many dresses but this one is def shaped for curves and I don't have hips sooooo it didn't really look right on me but whatever.

As someone with hips that are more outsized than the rest of me, this dress's shapeliness worked on me. Typical straight-up-and-down slip dresses don't work on me. This one came close, and I'll try it again in a smaller size, but the L was too big in the waist.

Cute! Too small

This was too large in the hips for me, so I couldn’t wear, unfortunately. For reference, my hips are about 36.5 in and I had the small. The fabric doesn’t lay right if it is too large and adds inches with noticeable fabric puckering.

This dress is nice and thick, it has the weight of a high quality garment and the color is beautiful as well. I don't typically wear clothing that's cut on a bias, because I find them not flattering on my wider hips. And this was no exception. So if you are thin and straight, this will be lovely on you! But if you are pear shaped, like I am, the hips may fit a bit odd. The seams sort of poked out but I'm sure its because of my hips, not a design flaw of the dress. Fortunately, I got it to be worn under an oversized sweater, so the weird hip thing wasn't an issue. But I never could have worn it without something on top.

Very nice looking dress, but I did not end up wearing it, as it fits very weird. The hips, like everyone before mentioned, protrudes out, giving you a very unflattering shape. Very nice material though. Maybe it was just my hips...

I guess my midsection is longer than average, because I couldn't get the structure of the dress to sit low enough. When I sat down, it pulled on the dress in such a way that one side of my chest was popping out more. I wore a corset with it and that kind of helped. It was a very pretty dress, just awkward.

I have hips however this dress had built in hips even bigger. I ended up wearing a jacket over the dress the entire time luckily anyway.

Fit chest and tummy area too tight. Couldn't wear to wedding. Would not recommend for larger busts and curves.

It was a very thick quality dress but it was very tight through the hips and was not flattering on. I worry if I try it again in a size o the straps would be too long.

Unless you have very wide hips and smaller everywhere else - an extreme pear shape - this will not work for you. It's cut that way, it's otherwise a great fabric and design, just won't work if it's not made for your body.

I so badly wanted to love this, but the seams/stitching on the sides of the dress were not flattering. The seams did not lay flat and created an exaggerated hourglass shape that was overall not flattering.

Sturdy fabric unlike many slip dresses but unfortunately the inside seams made the dress "poof" out in my hip area, making my hips look much wider than they actually are. Did not end up wearing

First things first - I DO have hips, so I was actually reading a lot of these comments about it being "too big in the hips" and thinking "wow this might be perfect for me" as I often run into issues with dresses being perfect everywhere except the hips, but it was not at all. It isn't cut on the bias to make it flattering or even just slightly wider as it goes down, it is literally like someone took a stencil of one random woman's hourglass figure and cut the dress to suit it. It is a nice dress and would definitely be flattering IF you had that exact figure, but if you don't it really just hangs on you and has a DRAMATIC bump out in a random place on your body (for me - the thighs) strange!

Unfortunately, I had high hopes for this dress. I liked the heavier material, but once it was on, the hips laid way too high and bunched with any movement. It made the dress look cheap and like it was the wrong size, but there was no way I could have sized up or down. Maybe someone with a shorter torso would be able to wear it but beware. I am 5'7" and the dress's hips started around my ribcage and didn't come back in until my thighs, I have a pretty small waistline, and it was completely lost in this dress.

I needed a navy satin dress for a wedding I was in. I read the mixed reviews on this dress but still rented to give it a chance... This dress is oddly shaped and ill fitting. The fabric curved out away from my body at my hips, giving the illusion of an hourglass shape but making me appear wider than I am. It was definitely a miss and I should've trusted the negative reviews.

This dress is beautiful, high quality, the fabric is thick but it does not flow. You have to fit the exact dimensions in order for it to look nice. The hips are quite wide so if your hips aren't wide enough, the seem sticks out. I Have more of a butt, not much room. Like I said, wanted to love it but definitely made for one body type.

I am 5'6, athletic build and weigh close to 150. I have a really small chest and waist, and what one could describe as soccer player legs/hips. This dress is absolutely awful on the hip area. On the xs the fabric doesn't fit and on the small there is way too much fabric. The dress has no give whatsoever . Super disappointed and ordered backups that also looked badly. Only rent this if you have no hips
