Loose fitting, large buttons close the sides of the dress.

This is such a great dress w awesome little details like a tassel on the zipper, large side snaps and an apron-like asymetric hem. It's a casual twill fabric that doesn't wrinkle. Got so many compliments - one person said I looked like Jackie O in it. Has a classic A line fit- like a glove. It's a bit worn but still great- i kept it casual w sandals.

Canvas material, cool button placement, 60's pattern. Fits well. Recommended for all tall gals.

This is a fun summer dress. Typical a line so lots of room in hips and legs.

I added a black silk knit shrug to mine because I don't like sleeveless and a white plastic beaded necklace, but this was very cute and good quality. I had to iron it but given that it was almost sailcloth in thick cottonness, it took an iron well. However, bear in mind the design is apron-like and buttons on the back near the sides (like two aprons joined at the hips that overlap, but don't actually close) so unless you're wearing this someplace with zero wind, you need some kind of slip. (I chose white lace bike shorts underneath) as San Francisco is extremely windy.

Easy to wear. Great workmanship. Runs large--size down. Especially in the waist.

I love Marni dresses. However this is not my favorite. The fabric is the usual great canvas feel. I guess the waist felt a bit big and I was hoping for a bit more fitted. Perhaps I should have gotten a size smaller. It is a well made dress.

It was rather small in the chest, though I have a bigger one. The material was...odd, not what it looks like or what you would expect for the dress. Felt like a thick canvas-type material? It was just too restrictive for me, but I think it would be very cute for girls with a smaller bust.

I wore this to a conference in Charleston SC. With a white sweater, it was perfect in sessions and I took the jacket off for going out. It is perfect for hot, sticky days. The cool details of the button flaps on the hip make it fun. Like all Marni fashion items the seams are finished beautifully and it is a comfortable and luxurious.

This was adorable. The fabric is a heavy twill, and the print is bright and cheerful (but not SO bright yellow that it washed my pale self out!). It's high-necked at the front and back; the only discomfort I encountered while wearing the dress is if I learned forward too far while sitting down, at which point it would dig into my neck. (So I stopped leaning forward too far while sitting down -- an easy fix.) The waist hit a little too high compared to my natural waist (my body's fault, not the dress's -- I have a long torso, so almost every waistline hits at least 2" above my natural waist). Still, even though the waistband was against my wider ribs instead of my narrower waist, the cut was flattering. The quality was excellent -- IIRC, most of the seams were flat-felled, the fabric was a perfect weight (not lined, but no need for one), and the stitching was impeccable. Though the model shows the dress hitting slightly below the knee, this was between knee-length and midi on me -- and at 5'8" with long legs and a long torso, I'm used to 'knee-length' dresses hitting me mid-thigh. (The model must be absolutely tiny and very tall.) If a hem is going to be different than the photo, I'd rather too long than too short! One thing to note: the dress is split into a front panel and back panel below the waist; the panels are overlapped and secured via buttons on the side. The lowest button hit right below my inseam; though it wasn't much of an issue except when I was climbing in and out of a tall car, it WAS possible for the sides to flare open and accidentally flash someone -- just keep this in mind! I wore this to work with almond-toed beige snakeprint flats and received many compliments. Had the weather been a bit nicer, I would have loved to pair it with open-toed heeled sandals!

The fabric of this dress has a crisp cool texture. I wore it to work. It has a beautiful bright lemon yellow base and is colorful and cheerful. I loved wearing it and would rent it again.

The details on the dress are unique and it was comfortable to wear. The canvas material is sturdy and different, but wrinkled easily. It was great as part of my unlimited plan and fun to wear to work, but not sure i would rent again.

The fit was perfect except for the bust - way too small. I can't imagine it would fit anyone above a B. It is such a cute dress, so I'm hoping that sizing up will help!

Arm holes are a little tight and cut into my armpits. Need to wear with bootie shorts as the skirt has huge slits up the side

What an interesting fabric! First off, the dress is pale yellow, even lighter than portrayed in the picture. I was a bit disappointed when it first arrived because of the color. The cut of the dress is very different/possibly weird. It felt/looked like I was wearing an apron. Oh, it also has like super high slits on the sides ...

The dress I received was "well worn" the colors were pretty faded - the fit of the dress was great and the cut was different. I really liked the dress - but would not rent it again because it was so faded.

Probably not for anyone over a D cup. I couldnt zip it up. Interesting details, I can see how it could be prone to wrinkles. Pretty dress for the right person.

The dress fit perfectly. No surprises! The material was heavier than I expected so it wasn't appropriate for the LA heat. Would be the perfect dress for an informal event.

This dress fit as it's expected although the sides of the skirt create a massive gap if you aren't careful with how you sit. The material is a heavier cotton which is nice in summer, but also wrinkled easily

The dress is kind of like an apron in the skirt with a front layer overlapping a back layer. This may prove difficult to wear on a windy day but otherwise it is a great dress. The pattern is bold and very timely for spring or summer.

I rented this in a size 44 thinking it will fit me a little loose but I was wrong the dress is tight and there was no room for me to breath in.

This dress would have been a 5 save for the bizarrely tight arm openings. It didn't affect the look of the dress, but it did make it really uncomfortable to wear. The pattern is beautiful and I really like the cut, but something unusual happened when the armscyes were calculated because they are not deep enough for adult arms.

This dress was very well made and loved how it hung around the waist - made me feel thin. Length was a bit longer on me then the picture but the models are probably 6 feet tall :-) Reason why I didn't give 5 stars: the material is a heavy canvas type and I felt a little constrained by it with the high neck and arm cutouts. This would have been fine with a softer material. Also, I do have larger upper arms (my least favorite feature) and I don't think the cut of the arms was flattering for me. And there was a slight stain on the front - - I'm sure no one noticed but me.

I rented this for a friend's wedding. It was super stylish and comfortable. I'm glad I wore it. I did wrinkle a bit throughout the day. It wasn't fitted so that made it comfortable.

I really liked the design of the dress. Different and I receive alot compliments. Can be dressed up or down with shoes and jewlery.

Not sophisticated enough for me, but would be nice for a casual day event. Got it for my son's college graduation and will not be wearing it.
