This spring, I was surprised to get an invitation to the wedding of my ex–best friend from [REDACTED] School. We had a falling out on the lacrosse pitch in 2003 and hadn’t spoken since. Nevertheless, I was determined to show up for her special day in the perfect dress: one that could easily accommodate the $300 of delicacies and drinks that I planned to consume after the ceremony. As I munched on pre-dinner shark souffle and made small talk in Afrikaans with Rochelle’s pet zebra from her first marriage, it became clear to me that I had only been invited so that I could see how cool Rochelle’s new BFF is. Ouch. As I drowned my sorrows into a Manhattan infused with edible gold, Rochelle’s new BFF approached me. She told me that mine was her favorite dress at the wedding INCLUDING THE BRIDE’S CUSTOM VERA WANG PRINCESS GOWN. 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯 Needless to say, I’ll be glowing and gloating at the next [REDACTED] School alumni gala—probably in another dress from RTR! Thank you to Rent the Runway for making my frenemy’s big day an even more memorable day for me.

I originally thought I would wear the size 10 but it just wouldn’t zip! The 12 was comfortable and I only had to use a little bit of tape on the chest! Got so many compliments and would highly recommend!

I loved this dress and was perfect for a winter wedding. The material is very high end and warm but not too heavy. I loved everything about the dress and would've bought it, BUT it is VERY VERY low cut! I had to wear a cami underneath and I felt like it took away from the dresses original neckline.

I wore this dress to a black tie wedding. What I loved about it is that it was flattering to my short, but curvy frame. I used body tape to tape the 'ladies' together since there's no wearing a bra with this. Also, the gold belt was a separate but inexpensive purchase from Amazon. Highly recommend!

Rented for an art show where I wouldn’t have access to a steamer. Dress was packed in luggage and shook out just fine. Good structure.. It is substantial fabric, so was a little warm in 75 degree weather.

Wore this dress to a gala and fundraising event and it was perfect! I received so many compliments. I love that it provides great coverage while still showing a little cleavage for balance. The dress is flowy, comfortable, and required no shape-wear underneath, which was the best part. The only downsides were that it ran slightly large, I usually wear a 12, but a 10 may have been a better fit, and it doesn’t have pockets. Highly recommend!

I got so many compliments on this dress, it’s a stunner, I felt like a million bucks all night! Only advice- the bust was a little loose, but couldn’t size down because there’s no give in the fabric, so I wore a low cut/plunge bra and that seemed to do the trick!

This is worth renting! Fits perfectly (you don't need a bra) and the layers and material are so flattering. No shape wear needed either.

I was obsessed with this dress - I wanted to keep it! I loved the tiered ruffles and loved that I could wear a normal bra with it. I think it could be dressed up for formal attire, but I wore it for a cocktail attire rehearsal dinner. I ordered both the 10 and 12 and ended up wearing the 12 because the 10 was too tight on my bust. I’m 5’4 and was 155lbs and a DD when I wore this for reference.

This dress is great for fall/winter weddings. The fabric is thick and comfortable. Definitely low cut in the front, I would recommend either a push up bra or fabric tape if you are smaller chested like me!

I wore this dress twice, for a gala and birthday dinner. I dressed it up with heels for the gala and down with sneakers and glittery socks for the dinner. It was super easy to wear, looked cute both ways, and I got tons of compliments. The only thing that could have made it better would be pockets, otherwise perfect! Could definitely see renting again.

I wore this dress for my 40th bday dinner and it felt luxe, special and festive. It is very substantial fabric (high quality but thick) and so make sure your venue is cool! Other than that, I recommend without reservations.

Loved this dress and would absolutely rent again! Wore it to a fancy holiday party, and got a ton of compliments. A little snug across the chest (I didn’t need to wear a bra) but otherwise a dream.

This dress was absolutely amazing, fit perfectly, and was so flattering!! I would have considered buying it, but the zipper was terrible. The part that zips up and down would come off bc there was no stopper at the bottom. And despite fitting perfectly, not tight at all, the zipper track would pop apart periodically. Please put a new zipper in and then this dress will be absolutely perfect!

I loved this dress and briefly contemplated buying it, however it retails at over $400 so I think if I ever want to wear it again, I'll rent it again. The dress has no stretch and was pretty snug below the bust, but overall it made me feel flirty and fabulous!

This dress was great and so comfortable. It was formal, but still a little fun. I wore it to work, so it was a little bit too low cut and I wore a black tank underneath. It would have been fine if I was just going to dinner with my husband. I loved it and it fit just right - I’m glad I sized down.

I’m typically an eight or 10, but the six fit perfectly. If you have a bigger bust, only size down one. Despite the ruffles and layers, this dress is remarkably flattering.

I originally ordered a 12 and it was clownish large. I knew even the 10 would be loose, so I am slightly wedged into an 8 (and I’m a solid 12 right now after gaining some weight recently). The 8 is a little boob-licious, and I don’t have on a bra, but the 8 allows the rest of the dress to be just right. I might wear it for a work event with a cami to cover that situation.

The v neck is deep, so if you’re not trying to show some cleavage may put something under it. I wore it to church.

I’m 5’8, 190 lbs, and usually a 12/14. The size 12 on this dress was so big. It made my head look tiny, like a spooky all girls school head mistress with a tiny, tiny head. It was also kind of too long.

As flattering as this dress is, I was left with two scabs on the front part of my shoulders from the inner seams. Got lots of compliments tho lol

The neck is so low that average bras will show, but the fabric, fit, and style is otherwise great.

This dress was a pleasant surprise! I did not expect to feel as good in it as I did. It was very flattering and I felt so confident in it! It was true to size!

Fabric is heavier so great for colder weather. Very flattering but was not the right style for my fall photo shoot. Would be great for a winter wedding.
