This is the second time I rented this dress. It is so flattering on my pear shaped figure and I received so many compliments. It is really comfortable too!

This dress fit a little small but I was able to sit through a Broadway show and it. Such a beautifully constructed dress with quality material. The straps could have been a little more snug but they didn’t fall off my arms. The back is everything! Definitely makes a statement

I’m 5’5 and 141 lbs a 34C it’s snug I’m going to exchange it for a 6 the size 4 fit snug for a rental it was great, but for ownership I’m going to get a 6 to have a bit more room. It’s a gorgeous sexy dress a head turner for sure. Length in front knee and the back calf length It’s very structure so no stretch very true to size, it’s also a heavier quality material

Pros: perfect detail. The material is thicker and will hide imperfections. Cons: ZERO

Got so many compliments on this one! Wanted a conservative but fun dress for an awards ceremony and this was perfect- covered in the front and sexy in the back. A fun tassel earring added a little color but this black dress could work with almost any accessory. Material is thicker so I would not suggest for an outdoor event.

Fit true to size. I’m curvy, small chested and short (145 pounds/size 6 and 5’2). This dress was absolutely stunning. Didn’t need to worry about the length being too long. It hugged my curves, and the back is absolutely breathtaking! Will rent again for sure.

Generally a good fit but the straps in the back were a bit long and did not want to stay in place. Kept having to adjust them on my shoulders. Fun and different LBD for a holiday party

I'm 5' 3" and about 135 lbs. I honestly haven't gotten a nice dress in a long time, so I wasn't sure what size would work so I am so glad I got to get two sizes! The 4R fit well, but was a bit tight. If you lift the bottom part up to like go to the bathroom, its a bit hard to pull it back into place. However, the back straps stayed up perfectly and I didn't even need extra bra support! I wore this to a wedding as the personal attendant and got SO many compliments! It was a bit thicker than I expected which was a bit tough since it was about 85 degrees out. But overall, it was a great dress - and if you need a place to stash something, I was able to fit it right under my breast by the waistline. ;)

Wore this after my first choice didn't arrive and second choice was too big. Luckily this dress is stretchy and well made to accommodate a pear shape (not sure why RTR classifies this dress as appropriate for us pears). Loved that it works with any color, shoe and jewelry. I'm longer waisted so I didn't have any problems with the back straps that were mentioned in many reviews.

The fit is pretty true to size, I noticed that the straps in the back kept slipping on the bigger size so I went with the smaller size for the actual event. I felt amazing in this dress. It made me feel like I had an effortless style, kind of like Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's. It made me feel sexy, (but not too sexy) and sophisticated for a work party. I highly recommend this dress the material is very thick but stretchy so no bra necessary, I was comfortable all night long!

I absolutely loved this dress, the back was everything! I'm pear shaped and was a little worried about the fit, but it fit nicely and seemed to balance out my shoulders and hips. Would 100% recommend.

The dress was perfect for a black tie wedding and I received tons of compliments. The open back was gorgeous and the dress is heavy so everything stays in place and wasn't tight around the stomach. I could have probably worn a 6 but the 8 worked fine and I would absolutely rent this dress again!

Absolutely loved the dress. It was not the original item I rented however rent the runway has amazing customer service and made sure to get me a substitute. This was absolutely stunning. While the back was probably a little risqué for the chapel, it looks phenomenal on. I got so many compliments and it showed off my long legs which I love. Size 4 was only available size the rent and I would say it was slightly on the bigger side but sit well enough that I didn't need any kind of fashion tape

Wore this dress to a retirement end -of-the-year party. Not only is the style appropriate for the co-worker environment. The open back is a touch of sexy in the right place. The cut is a dash of unique. Exactly my kind of dress flavor. Such an excellent choice!

I absolutely love this dress. I rented it for a fancy dinner in Italy. Not only did it fit perfectly but it also travels well in a suitcase. I ended up buying this from RTR because it was so beautiful.

I've had this dress saved in my "favorites" for months, and I was so excited to finally use it this weekend. I wore it to a January wedding, and felt amazing and confident in it all night. Business in the front & party in the back, I felt the straps weren't as long as everyone claimed to be, and I was extremely comfortable all night. Being forced to sit up straight helped me so much with my posture. I wore a sticky bra, but easily could've gone bra-less. The material is thick, flattering, forgiving and true to size. The length was perfect with some 3 inch heels. Couldn't have loved this dress more- HIGHLY recommend!!!

I had to keep great posture throughout the night to keep the sides from slipping down my shoulder, but that was almost a plus for me! Lots of compliments- fun dress.

I'm 132 lbs, with a small upper body (34A+) and am size 4. I have a small upper body, and was worried about the reviews of some that noted the chest can be baggy. However that was not the case for me as long as I held my shoulders up. This dress fit like a glove, and had such a memorable look with a beautiful back. I do have a larger butt, which can be difficult with fitted dresses, as I need the dress to match my chest and hips, and sometimes, it just doesn't work. Loved this dress and would love to wear it again.

This dress was beautiful! The only issue is I had to adjust the straps often.

The dress fit perfectly and the material felt great. It was tight and held the girls in place. The low back and long dress made for a nice silhouette. I got lots of compliments throughout the night.

This thick material and black color make for a flattering fit. It's kinda like a mullet dress- classic from the front and a surprise reveal in the back between the open back and longer triangular hem. I'm thin on top, bigger on bottom and it held in my thighs and butt without constricting or flattening me so that I could dance the night away. I wore a sticky backless bra which worked great to show off the sexy bag. Straps stayed put on my shoulders. At 5'5" it's a little longer than on the model but still worked well.

Everyone loved this dress. I felt super confident and comfortable in it. While I could have sized down for a more skin tight look, I decided not to go there. You don't need to wear a bra but I did wear the push up adhesive cutlets. Danced all night and didn't feel too constricted. HIGHLY recommend.

I loved this dress! It was the perfect find for a summer wedding. Both the 4R and 6R fit, but I ultimately wore the 6R so I would have plenty of room for food and dancing! The material is thick, but stretchy and comfortable. It doesn't make you hot, but I appreciate that the thickness shows the quality of the dress in person. No Spanx needed here - it doesn't show any lines and hides any imperfections. I also loved not having to wear a bra all night! The dress is pretty long in the back so if you are shorter, you might want to opt for a higher heel. I didn't have any issues with the straps or the open back as some of the other comments did. My only con is that there was some slight fraying where the dress comes up into the V in the front.

I will say the fabric was a funny material- felt like the fabric for a backpack strap. This didn't matter once I was all done up. I felt confident and classic in this dress. You don't need a bra or special underwear, fabric is thick and comfy. I did buy some fabric tape to keep the straps going down my back in place because I am small chested. Highly recommend.

I was a little nervous wearing something so revealing in the back, and I typically don't wear a high/low hemline, but this dress was lovely. It was very flattering and I received many compliments from everyone about it. I'm 5'7", 150lbs and occasionally get those unsightly back rolls. Even with that, this was stunning (haha I just had to make sure to stand a certain way for photos). Also I'm a 34B and wore it with no bra. The fabric was thick and forgiving, so no bra was necessary. My husband also loved the open back!

I loved this dress. It was tight, and sexy but also refined and simple. I just wore simple black strappy shoes and statement earrings. The back wasn't too low but the straps made it hard to slouch, so great ready to stand up straight.

I really loved this dress, the fabric was thick and I didn't need a bra. It arrived pretty wrinkled, so steaming is necessary before wearing. I was really in between the 4 & 6 but ended up going with the 6 for a little more room to breath in the ribs. I received compliments all night and loved the open back! Wish I could keep it.

I rented this for a wedding and it fit like a glove. The only issue I found was that because there is no back, I had to use the sticky bras, and because I don't have a lot of bust, the top of the dress was "baggy-ish", and I had to keep adjusting myself. However, it was a small price to pay for killing it in that dress. One aspect I loved was how the dress almost resembles a gentleman's evening tail coat on a tux. So chic and sexy and classy!

This dress was a show stoppper! With a black dress you usually don't draw too much attention but this dress did. I was so happy with my dress and I didn't see another dress that could compete with it.

I liked this dress and had fun wearing in for New Years Great Gatsby party. The dress runs a bit small and is a bit tight, but good thing I got size up and it fit nicely. Only downside that it bunched up a bit under armpits. I loved that it had an open back.

The fit is true to size and the material is very forgiving. You have to wear a sticky bra because of the open back but it's tight enough to support even my large bust in a sticky bra. The open back is really pretty and i got a million compliments on it! I would definitely rent again.

I was very nervous about getting this dress. The only reason I ended up with it was because it was the backup to my 2nd backup(this experience was a shipping/availability nightmare, but thats a different review). I loved the look of this dress online but, I do not normally go for backless dresses because I am bustier and am not normally comfortable without a bra(sticky boobs do not work on me). All my fears went away as soon as I put it on. The fabric is thick with just enough stretch to keep everything in place and smooth it out. It was PERFECT! I got so many compliments all night long and feel like I hit just the right note between classy and sexy...just amazing!

I have never gotten so many compliments on a dress! It fit perfectly and was very comfortable. The straps were a little loose in the back but overall it was perfect.
