I went to a NYE 1920's themed wedding. The dress was perfection. The art deco design went along so well w/ the theme of the wedding. I am 5'10" ( 169)-normally a size 8) and wore the 10L with 3 1/2 in heels and still had length. The fit was amazing except right in the left side where there was no strap. It was a bit big but used some garment tape and BOOM good to go! I am so fortunate I was able to buy this and keep forever.

I have never felt so glamorous! This dress was just right for my body type (athletic). It was light, comfortable and fit perfectly. Easy to walk in, and exactly the right length with 3" heels (I am 5'6"). I checked the Laundry/Shelli Segal size guide on their website to be sure, and it was correct. It is not stretchy, so be sure of your measurements before ordering.

There were no cons to this dress. The fit was perfect, it was comfortable and perfect for the occasion. I chose to wear the 0 but the 2 would have worked as well, just a little more room in the mid section.

The dress fit like a glove! I felt confident and wasn't tugging at it. Helpful to know how high up the side slit goes, especially if you're wearing any shape wear underneath.

I rented this for a Gatsby Dinner and it was PERFECT! Great fit, length was perfect and it was a real standout! it was a bit scratchy under the arms from the sequins but nothing I couldn't handle. I got tons of compliments and one of the attendees asked to borrow it! LOL It would work in a non Gatsby type setting but it was perfection for this party!! Another successful rental from RTR!!

I'm typically a size 10, but this was fitted and flattering, and comfortable. I received countless compliments and absolutely LOVED this dress!

I'm about 5'2 and wore 4" heels. I was nervous about the dress being too long, but the regular fit just fine. I don't think I'm a true anything, but the 14R I wore worked out well. I think the picture of me in it is a truer representation of the shade of silver the dress is - darker than in the still image on the RTR site. Still, gorgeous!

First RTR - and this was the backup dress when the original two ordered weren't great options. Black tie optional auction. I got double-takes. I'm broad-shouldered and a 34DDD - this dress accentuated the former and deemphasized the latter. I wore it with a strapless bustier and everything stayed where it should. The sequins are tiny, the dress immensely comfortable (though I did not dance in it). I am 5'7" and wore the 12L with 3 in heels and the dress grazed the floor perfectly. Loved this rental - can't wait for my next event and next rental.

I rented this dress for a 1920's theme gala. I loved the dress, it fit like a glove. I received compliments all night! I am on the shorter side, 5'2'' so I rented the regular length and it worked perfectly with my heels. The material of the dress is very forgiving to all those troublesome spots. Overall really great dress!

Well made dress and the sequins were quite comfortable. The fit was flattering but I think it would be absolutely perfect on someone with a more athletic or slender figure. This mainly because the waist isn;t very well defined and it would be tight on a larger ribcage or chest

I'm a size 12 but I notice that RTR dresses guess because they dry clean after each use tend to shrink. So any type of dress that has no give I go up a size. I'm a 34F and wear good bras so the bust area was okay for me. I ordered the long because I'm 5'10" and normally wear heels and the hem hit the bottom of my heel just fine. I would definitely recommend it!

Good fit, true to size, perfect length. Felt glamorous, looked the part too, ha! No size difficulties at all. I'm on the (middle aged suburbanite) heavy size, but thought I looked frankly pretty darn awesome. Handsome husband accessory helps also (not included in rental terms of dress, lol).

I thought the dress fit me pretty well. It felt a little loose in the bust area but other than that it was great! If you're taller than 5'5" then I'd recommend getting the longer version. This dress was comfortable and I had no issue with moving around or dancing in it throughout the night. I'd say this is my favorite RTR rental thus far.

This was a very festive, very flattering, very comfortable dress. I received many compliments from both men and women. The sequins didn't bother me at all, and I wore this dress for many hours. I was in between sizes - but I suspect it would be true to size on someone who isn't pear shaped. The 6L fit well in the torso but was a little tight in the hips (I do have a large butt - 40 inches); the sequins looked weird with the way it stretched. The 8L was a touch longer than the 6L, and was a touch too big in the torso (36 inch bust). These are minor issues - the dress looked great and I was so happy to wear it.

I'm 5'8" and a size four - pretty slender and straight and this dress fit perfectly! I'm glad I ordered the tall because it was perfect with heels. Loved the process and the dress.

I wore this gown for a Masonic Annual Black & White Charity Ball. I ordered two sizes. Thought the first dress I tried on was the 4R; however, it was the 6R. Way to big for me. I received many complements and had many eyes on me as well. The only thing negative I would say is that the bottom zipper area does not sit well. I have to keep pulling the dress so that area lays flat. Otherwise than that. Wear it.

I rented this for a formal wedding with an Art Deco theme and it worked perfectly. When I first tried on the 0 I thought it was too tight. The 2 was too long, so I went with the 0 and couldn't have been happier with how it ended up fitting, and how it made me feel - glamorous indeed! It looks so much better in person than in the stock images shown on RTR. It isn't sequins, so it isn't heavy, but it still manages to look like it costs a fortune. I didn't want to take it off.

Perfect fit but even a 4R was long on me (5'2"). With 5"heels it was perfect length. Flashy without being outrageous-- perfect for charity event I attended. Everyone loved dress and it was fun and easy to wear.

I ordered the 6R and the 8R. Could have worn the 6R but I wanted a little more wiggle room so I opted for the 8R. Both men and women would stop and tell me how amazing this dress looked this past New Year's Eve. This dress is classy and sophisticated for any black tie event and perfect for any age. The length is a little long even with 4 inch heels, but that didn't bother me. The side slit on the left only went up to the knee, and the neckline is perfect if you're going for a slightly modest look in the chest area. Sequins were no bother at all. Overall, beautiful and elegant and I was quite pleased with the promptness by the staff at Rent the Runway.

I loved this dress! I wore it to a holiday formal event (black tie optional) and it was perfect. The dress is very good quality and fits well. It can be hard finding dresses because of my proportions -- I'm a rock climbing instructor, so I have a fairly muscular back/shoulders compared to the rest of my body. It can be tricky finding dresses that fit these areas while still fitting my waist and hips. I wore this dress with 3 inch heels and the dress was the perfect length -- I was originally worried about length because the dress description says that you should opt for the tall length if you are 5'7+, but I would have been tripping everywhere if the dress was even a few inches longer. Only consider the longer option if you are at least 5'9

This was the perfect dress for a rock n roll themed gala in New York City! Form fitting but flattering - 6R fit best everywhere but bust was too tight for D+ cup so went with the 8R. Length was perfect for me (5'3") with 3-inch heels. I could sit for dinner and danced all night. So many compliments!

Alas, the size 10R was too tight and the 12R was baggy, just not a good fit for my body. The fabric was shiny from the metallic threading in the dress, so it sparkled without sequins (which can be scratchy), but the dress looked a bit tired, as if it had been dry cleaned too many times. My body is not cut for this dress, so I returned them both and found a dress at the store location the day before my event, luckily. My measurements are: Bust - 42" Bra - 38DD Waist - 33" Hip - 42.5" Size 10 is my usual size in dresses by Laundry

Get the long if you plan to wear heels. I actually ended up wearing the smaller size - which NEVER happens - because it does do a weird thing where it bunches up under your chest, The smaller size flattened it out.

I'm pear shaped and the dress is hourglass shaped. So I had to wear a little extra something on top to close the under arm gap, but the shoulder strap kept the dress up all night, which made it hassle free. I wore 3.5" heels and brought the 4R to the perfect barely floor skimming length. I received compliments all night and was fortunate to have found this dress to wear with the mask I bought first on etsy from sirenmasquerades. The hip area was fitted but still left room for dancing the night away. After an hour of dancing the dress retained some heat, but that happens when dancing. The side slit reached a non scandalous height and made walking easier.

Rented this for a formal gala, it was really fun to wear. The sequins are smaller than I expected, which was a nice surprise. The fit was a little disproportionate for me, I felt like it was super tight across my chest but a little loose and bunchy around my stomach. But it was still a great dress and was easy to dance in all night.

Perfect dress...but don't ruin it with poor posture. Simply beautiful.

This dress fit like a dream. It was a bit stretchy in the right places so I could enjoy the night. I ordered the 8R and the 10R but never had to try on the 10. The 8 fit as expected. I am a 34DD and the top covered and held in what I needed it to. I wore 3" black heels and it hit the ground perfectly.
