I really enjoyed wearing this dress to our Christmas party! It lays very well and the bottom pattern really creates a great look. You could totally wear this if you were pregnant and carrying low. I remember the top being pretty snug, which is a good thing.

I loved this dress so much that I bought it on another site after wearing it. Loved the flow and the effortless elegance - it was the perfect choice for my engagement party on a rooftop terrace in NY. The Art Deco element was a beautiful touch. The R sizes weren't available so I got the 4P - worked for me because I don't like wearing high heels. I'm 5'7.5" and with ~2 inch heels it was very doable, just above the ground. (Though I bought the 4R for keeps...) Lovely dress , one of my RTR faves!

I've rented this twice for different occasions. The dress is definitely my go-to maxi because you can dress it up or down. The dress has a structured top so no need for a bra. I also really like the low back as it gives you a lot of room for movement. Can't recommend this one enough!

This dress was fun and flowy and such a blast to dance in! It was long so I had to wear heels, but that's ok. The 4 was tight enough in the chest I didn't have to wear a bra, but was SO hard to zip up. When I tried it on I had to have help getting it zipped. Luckily I was dressing alone for the wedding and was able to get it myself. I wore this to a wedding in a catholic church (with a blue shall to cover shoulders) and it transitioned perfectly to a Boston fall barn reception. Highly recommend!

The whole night I kept saying to my friends, "wow, I'm so happy I got this dress, I love it so much!" I didn't have to wear a bra with it, and it still made the girls look good. The bottom definitely hits the floor, and so I occasionally I had to lift it to maneuver, but surprisingly the fabric is PERFECT for magically flowing out of your way when you walk. The only thing that was a little weird was the top of the boning at my breast line seemed as though it had been worn many times and was about to break through. Other than that, this was 100% my favorite RTR find. I felt absolutely GORGEOUS and I can't wait to rent it again!

Loved this dress. Just as some other reviewers said it does run long and even though I wore five-inch heels it was still hard to not step on it when I walked. But looked nice when I picked up the outer layer to walk. I really liked the boning in the bodice, I didn't need to wear a bra and the low cut back was very pretty. The only issue I had, just as some other reviewer said, is the boning in the bodice pokes through the top and distorts the sweetheart neckline. ( I kept trying to push down the pieces of the boning.) Other than that I loved the dress. I added a belt just to cinch my waist a little. I usually wear a 4 but the 2 fit perfectly. I got tons of compliments and it photographed beautifully. Would definitely recommend.

Needed a (padded) strapless black bra to fill out the top. Someone bustier might've been able to go without, but not me! 2.5" heels made the Long length work well.

I requested this dress as a replacement for a dress I rented and didn't feel comfortable in. The 8L would have been a better size but was not available at the time. I am 5'9" and 36DD. There was plenty of room in the top and the length was slightly long for flat sandals but still manageable. I was so comfortable all night. Wish I owned this dress. Would definitely rent again.

Straps were a bit loose

Could be worn at a fancy or more casual summer event, also adorable with a jean jacket thrown over it! Depending on shoes and jewelry you could dress up or down. Got tons of compliments.

This could definitely be more casual or dressy depending on the environment. Thought the top had a really flattering neckline and overall felt good in the dress.

This dress was elegant and great for an evening indoor wedding. I was worried about it being too long but actually wore flats with the 6L and it was perfect. I am 5'8" though. The bodice fit great but the straps fell off when I sat down. Fortunately I had taped along the top of the bodice with fashion tape and it didn't move. But the dress was unique and beautiful. The skirts really flow and swirl. I paired it with a simple necklace.

I loved this dress! Very comfortable and fit nicely. Was a bit long even in the petit size and the straps did keep falling off. Got lots of compliments. Perfect for an outdoor summer wedding.

As other reviews said, the top runs small so I ordered a size up (petite - it's long!) and it fit perfectly. I wore a strapless bra with it - just made sure the bra was low on the back so it didn't show. It was SO flattering and comfortable throughout the whole evening. I'm 12 weeks pregnant so wanted to have some room in the mid-section, and this was perfect and hid my extra curve perfectly. It was very slimming. I got TONS of compliments on it. It was also very light, which was critical considering the 85 degree heat. I was a rent the runway rookie and am now hooked!

Reading the reviews I was worried I would be over dressed for my sisters graduation but paired with some gladiator sandals I felt amazing in this dress. So comfortable and so many compliments. I wish I could buy this one!!

I ordered a 0 and 2 but for some reason I only received the 2. Luckily, it fit perfectly! Very flattering dress and I got compliments all night long! You also don't need to wear a bra with it which is definitely a plus!

I love this style! It's lightweight and airy and makes for the perfect maxi style. There's built in boning in the bust for support. I would recommend going with your true size and sizing up for a backup as it's fitted at the natural waist.

Really liked this dress. The low back was very pretty, although you can't wear a related bra. The dress fit true to size. I am 5'7 and wear the 2R with heals and it was plenty long.

In love with Shelli Segal and this was no exception, the fabric flowed amazingly. Only wish I had a full length photo to show. Again, didn't want to send it back!

Only downside is the incredibly long length. I'm 5'2" and needed to wear 6" heels to get the dress off the ground. Otherwise, perfectly comfortable, easy to go bra-less (plenty of support in the dress), and I received compliments all night. Glad it was compatible with my 5 1/2 month baby bump!

I wore this for a late September wedding at a golf & country club. The dress was gorgeous and the top fit great, but it was super long. I'm 5'0"- ordered the dress in petite, wore 3 inch heels, and it still dragged on the floor. Beautiful dress, though!

Rented the 6P as backup but would have preferred a 4. I'm 135 lbs with 32DD bust and the top was a little too loose, so I used fashion tape. Also the boning was worn down and sticking into me, but not unbearable.

Wore for a friends outdoor wedding. The top was a bit large (even with a large bust) but was comfortable all night! It was a warm day and I never felt overheated. Warning for petites: this dress is long. Wore with almost 4 in. heels and still had to tie it up while walking and dancing throughout the night. The dress came with a couple rips (likely from being stepped on by previous renters). So beware if your concerned about that.

I rented this dress hoping it would work for a black tie wedding, being 37 weeks pregnant!! It was very comfortable all around. My biggest complaint was that the straps were too big so they constantly slipped down but I was mostly just excited to find a formal dress that fit around my belly! I am 5'6" and the petite was on the short side. I wore flat sandals and they were a little bit visible. Given my state it worked out well to prevent tripping but I would not have liked the length otherwise. Didn't need to wear a bra so that was great. I was nervous about this working out since I had no idea what size I am right now, and the dress is not technically maternity but it worked beautifully. I was about 155 pounds when I wore this. I would highly recommend to preggos looking for a formal gown!

I rented an 8P as I'm 5'4" (34DD/130 lbs) and I wore 3" heels and the dress fell beautifully. I was able to wear a strapless bra as well. The straps on the dress fell while sitting, but overall it was a great dress. Super comfortable and moved beautifully while walking.

I got nothing but compliments of this dress. If I could've kept it, I would! Fit: It overall fit really well, except for the straps and underarms. I'm pretty muscular, so the straps were pretty tight when I moved. Also the material comes up very high under the armpits which caused some of the tightness of the dress. The bodice does have a wire in it to keep the top up so just a heads up. The fit around the rest of my body was great. Length: Was a little long for my height, but I think the short would've been too short. I wore flip flops, but I definitely could've worn heels and not have them show. I did LOVE this dress and I'm going to rent it again!

The gown was a little tight around the chest, but that was actually a good thing since you can't really wear a bra. Sometimes I felt like the way it fell made me lose my shape because it starts flowing out well above my hips, so I was hesitant to wear it. But then I walked- and the fabric on the bottom moves so beautifully: someone used the word "ethereal." I was also pleasantly surprised at the versatility of this dress. I wore it to a non-traditional yet semi-formal wedding dinner and it fit the occasion, but it also could have been dressed up more or less very easily.

I loved this dress SO much. I wore it to a work cocktail party (resort chic attire), and received many compliments. My one trouble with the skirt was that it was far too long and therefore difficult to walk in. I was wearing 3 1/2 inch heels and it was still dragging on the floor, and when I stood up after dinner, my heel snagged on the fabric and ripped it. :( Overall, though, a beautiful dress. The pleats and the pattern were unique and the bodice was structured nicely--didn't even have to wear a bra. I paired it with a black cotton shrug that I removed later in the evening.

This dress is gorgeous - love the skirt, and the length hit just right with a pair of 4 inch heels. The bodice was a trickier fit - I ordered a regular size 0 and a size 2 petite, and both had extremely tight straps - or rather, the dress came up pretty high into my underarms - but there was also a lot of room in the bust (for my flatter chest, admittedly). Also, be aware that the back is quite low cut and you'll need a backless bra or to wear a strapless very low on your back to keep it from showing. I didn't feel like it would have looked good without a bra. Finally, the hem of the dress was ripped when I received it, so I had to stop for some fabric tape to keep from stepping on and snagging the torn parts all night. Aside from these minor issues, I love the look of the dress, especially with my Heather Gardner necklace (http://heathergardner.com/)!

I really liked wearing this dress - it was comfortable without looking casual. I agree with other reviews that it definitely runs long. I could have worn 2-3 inch heels easily but chose to wear flats in the end. It worked fine other than needing to be aware and lift it when walking and dancing. It definitely fits small up top - I have a small bust and it was great, lots of support and no need for a bra (good since a regular strapless bra would have shown in the back). I'm never sure if I will be a 2 or a 4, but the 2 worked perfectly - other than being a little long. I highly recommend it, especially if you have some fun accessories to color it up!

Beautiful dress, I felt so lovely in it and was complimented constantly. The skirt was light and airy, it floated after me as I walked. However, the boning in the bodice isn't perfect so it pokes up the top and doesn't lie exactly as it does in the picture, which you can see in the selfie. Also, the skirt is very delicate and pretty much wants to rip itself. It will catch on everything, make sure you get insurance on this one!

I was 7.5 months pregnant and needed a nice dress for a wedding... the dress felt and looked great all night! They didn't have it in 4S, so a tad long for me (I'm 5'2) and I did keep stepping on it all night. But that wasn't a big deal for me since I wasn't moving around too much. I asked for the 4R and 6R... but there was no need to size up (even with the huge belly) because of the cut and style of the dress. I'm regularly a size 4P or 4S. The bust was great, very supportive and comfortable. I'm a D and didn't need a bra. Overall, I'd definitely recommend it!

I am a bit busty so it was a little snug up top but fit great. Was able to party and dance all night. I am 5'5" and I got a regular length and the dress was long. Had to wear higher heels than planned but still was super pleased. Looked great.

Top portion didnt fit me correctly. Might be nicer for a shorter woman who is proud of her shoulders :)
