I'm 5'4" and I got it in a 4Petite and a 6Petite, both of them fit wonderfully but the straps on the 4 was more secure so I went with that. I got tons of compliments all night and the color is bright but not overwhelming!! Overall, a great dress :)

I loved this dress! So comfortable and a nice vivid color . There is zero stretch in the waist (FYI). I had previously rented this in a pink color in my usual 6R (ended up picking a different dress that time), but then tried this one in 8P and I loved the fit in the chest much better. I normally a 4R or 6R (usually 6), but if you’re small chested I would consider going up a size and picking petite (I don’t normally wear petites). From some viewer photos you can tell there is gaping in the chest and I think going petite may be the answer. I still recommend fashion tape to feel comfortable that nothing will “fall out” but I was able to wear my stick on bra for a little added cleavage (for my A cup chest)

Overall fit great, and I did the pick up in store, that way I could try on before I wore. I was pregnant (first trimester, second baby) so I wasn't sure what size my belly nor bust would be but this allowed me to try it on right before to be sure it would fit, which was great. Of course I picked a cut that I knew would be more forgiving. I would say I probably could have gone up to a 10 b/c my bust increased so quickly when pregnant, but didn't want to deal with an exchange so just sucked it up and went busty, haha. LOVE the color, love the pleats/style, just a great dress.

It's an amazing color, and flowy and fun to dance in. As other reviews said, it's pretty tight around the rib cage (especially at the very top) - and you'll definitely need dress tape for the top. I tried to get one of those sticky bras, but the dress was too low cut (on me) for it to work well - I had to cut the inner pieces off the bra off so it wouldn't show. However, dress worked well for me with what was left of the bra and a lot of dress tape. I'm 5'8, and the regular length dress was floor length with flats on. I normally wear a 36B bra and size 8.

This was my first time with Rent the Runway and this dress was awesome! Beautiful color and felt amazing in it! It's lightweight and flows when you walk. Had a lot of people asking where I got it. If you're bigger up top make sure your backup size is larger than your regular dress size!! Highly recommend this dress :)

This dress was absolutely gorgeous and fit perfectly! I'm 5'9", 34DD and wore flats with the dress, although I could've gotten away with a short heel. I got so many compliments, and the neckline suited my chest perfectly. My only complaints were some light pulling/pilling on the bust and that my size wasn't available in red at the time.

I loved the fit and the flow of the dress, I have a small chest size so I just had to make sure my shoulders were back but that also makes you look more confident and have good posture. The color is absolutely gorgeous and the open back really adds that wow factor. 100% would wear this dress again, I did not want to take it off

This dress fit my body perfectly! It was a little long, but 4 ish inch heels fixed the problem. I highly recommend this dress!

The 2L fit perfectly for length and size - the color changes with flash pictures so appears much more bright in the photo than it does in dimmed light. I got so many compliments on the dress!

I wore this dress to a winter wedding in Atlanta, 6 months pregnant. While it is not a true empire waist I was able to wear it even with my baby bump. A lot of fashion tape was needed on top as it it a low back and no bra can be worn with this dress. I loved the color and the fabric was pretty. Great dress! I definitely recommend, maternity or not. :)

This was a great dress! I got it long so I could wear it with a pair of 5 inch heels ( I'm 5'4) and it hit the ground perfectly.

I absolutely loved wearing this dress. It made me feel so elegant! It did run a bit tight on the back but since it does drop quite low it does help keep you secure. If you have a larger chest area, I would order a size up! The fabric was soft & didn't crease at all throughout the night. Would definitely rent again for a wedding or formal event!

The color online does not do it justice, closer to turquoise. Worn to a black tie wedding in September. Loved standing out from in a sea of black. Flowing and comfortable and the open back is a stunner. Definitely need garment tape for the front. 100% happy with RTR once again!

I loved this dress so much more than I'd anticipated. Silly picture (I'm wearing the flower girls crown for a moment haha), but I wanted to show how flowy it is! I had to adjust the straps a handful of times, but I never felt they were in danger of just falling off and exposing me. It was a hot and humid wedding and the backless part was such a dream. The color is so vibrant and pretty, and it hugged my ribcage and chest well while leaving room around the tummy which allowed me to dig into the delicious wedding food! I'm 5'7, wore 4" heels and the 6L skimmed the floor the way I prefer gowns to. In this picture I'm around 144lb, D/DD cup and 39" hips

Ordered this for an outdoor formal wedding. The color was perfect. Ordered the 6L and the 8L...I am normally a true 6 but the zipper would not zip all the way so I went with the 8 and it fit perfectly. The straps hook around the arm and that is all that is holding the dress up...No bra of any kind can be worn. Would definitely rent this again...lots of compliments.

The fit is beautiful, very flattering especially if you want to accentuate your upper body and arms. I got compliments throughout the wedding on the dress from the color to the fit to the fabric. People kept coming up to me and touching the dress or complimenting different details on the dress from the front detailing to the low back. I highly recommend this dress for a formal wedding or any occasion where you want to radiate timeless beauty with confidence and a dash of sex appeal.

The stress is beautiful! The back is sexy and the whole dress flows when you walk. it does cut lower than I'm used to in the front, but with the sticker bra, it all worked out.

I loved this dress. It definitely runs small. I'm 5'10 and about 145lbs, usually I wear a 6, but the 8 was very tight. The armpit holes are also relatively small. I wore the dress with flats and at 5'10 it was perfect. You definitely cannot wear a bra with this dress, so beware of that. If you're larger than a C cup this dress also might be difficult, there isn't any stretch and my B cup already filled the dress. Even though it wasn't perfectly sized and maybe not the most comfortable dress, I thought it was amazing! It was incredibly flattering, and the flowiness made it fun to dance in.

I wore this for a formal Summer wedding and I didn't want to send its back! It showed a bit more cleavage than I normally do, but with this dress, it works! I am 5'3'' and the regular length was perfect with my 4" heels. I did not have any problems with the straps feeling strange, it did remind me to keep my posture perfect though! Fashion tape was a must for the low V

Loved this gown!!! The low neckline and back lend just the right amount of "oo-la-la" to this beautiful, comfortable dress. We were at a tropical wedding with 85% humidity and I was still comfortable. Got compliments all evening and my husband loved it!!!

This dress. It fit like a glove, I bought double sided tape but really didn't need it. I got SO many compliments on this dress. -- I am sad that I had to give it back. So comfy, so wonderful for dancing. Highly recommend.

This is a beautiful dress. I wore it for an evening, spring wedding. The long, flowy style of dress stood out among the short dresses. I felt formal but very comfortable. I wore 4" heels and the length was just right. The hem of the dress just touched the ground. I wore two side tape to keep the top in place.

This dress isn't for someone who is afraid to show a little skin. The straps essentially stay on your body from your boobs. It's low cut in the front (and in the back.) That being said, it shows off skin in all of the right places. The top does run in a little small in the rib cage area, so if you don't have a smaller waist or chest, I would advise sizing up one size. I got the long and wore 2.5" heels, and it was the perfect length on me (I'm almost 6 foot.) I definitely recommend this dress for any summer event. The color is stunning.

I am 5'11 (wore 3 inch heels) and the 6L fit perfectly. The 4L's arm holes were a little to small and a bit uncomfortable. The biggest issue was the the 6L was missing part of the hook on the back, but we figured out a way to make it work! It was a lot of fun to wear (do note you can't wear a bra, but it does have padding in it which was fine) and particularly to dance is as the bottom is very billowy. All in all, I was super happy with the dress!

The 6R fit me much better in the chest than the 8, but since I have a larger rib cage I had to go with the 8. I used a stick on push up bra to fill the chest out a little as well as some fashion tape. Loved the cut. This was a much more saturated blue than the photo depict. Love love love this dress and designer.

Wore this for prom and it was awesome! I got it the day before because when the dress I originally ordered came I hated it. They only had a 4L in store and I didn't have time to order it so I wore that, even though it was way too long, I made it work. With 4 inch heels it was fine but I didn't wear the heels for long. The back looked awesome and it fell perfectly. Customer service was great and loved the dress.

The top was a little bit big for a small busted gal, so because of that I had to be really careful all night that it didn't fall down since the low back made it hard to stay up on its own. The dress arrived with the hook and eye broken, but it still zipped up fine.

I was originally apprehensive to rent this dress due to the reviews on the red version. However I am SO glad that I ended up renting this! It fit like a glove and I got so many complements throughout the night. FYI- if you have a bigger bust like I do (34D), you will need to use some fashion tape to keep yourself from busting out of the top. But other than that minor detail, I highly recommend this dress!

First of all I am SO happy that I ordered the long. I am just about 5'9 and was able to wear 3" heels with this dress and it was still perfect. The 12L fit very true to size, although I left the hook and eye in the back undone because it was a bit tight - the zipper stayed up all night regardless! This was the perfect dress for a wedding. It is elegant without being over the top and I was comfortable the entire night and not too hot for Florida weather. This was a very hard dress to return! If you're even thinking about renting this, DO IT!

The fit is true to size. I am usually a 8 or 10 and I wore an 8 in this dress (I wear 10 mostly in the hips). I loved the built in support. I usually do not wear backless so I can wear a bra, but this was amazing. It felt like i was wearing a bra and I didn't feel nervous at all that things would pop out. The only con I will say is that the armholes and straps are smaller, and i have pretty broad shoulders so it was a little tight in that area.

I felt beautiful when I wear this dress. The lane plus great if it nice around the waist and hit my muffin top. The only concern was the top was a little loose. I had to be careful when leaning over as to not expose myself.

My husband picked this dress out as an alt for a gala. I didn't end up wearing it because it was too much cleavage for the event. The fabric is soft, feminine and beautiful. Would consider for a beach wedding but not quite right for a gala event if you're going for a classier vs very sexy look. Might look different on someone with a less curvy figure.

The fit from waist down was perfect. I was worried about the open back showing waist/hip roll but it hid it perfectly. The con was the straps for sure! The whole top and straps needed wardrobe tape so that when moving I didn't give anyone a show! I would wear this dress again but I'd be more prepared to tape everything down so my boobs don't feel like they are going to pop out. I'm 5'5" and wore shorter heels and dress was great length. Very flattering

This dress made me feel like a mermaid. I wore it to senior formal. Loose enough to be comfortable, only complaint was that the fabric on the side of the chest folded out a bit (can see in picture) but in generally I felt great in it.

Wore this for a photo-shoot with my husband. Rib cage area was tight, so don't wear this dress after you've eaten. For members of the IBTC, you should invest in petals/stinky bra to help fill out the top. Be aware that you should have excellent posture (shoulders back) so that the straps don't fall and expose the girls. The color was a beautiful turquoise, and the dress flowed wonderfully for our pictures. Wore flat sandals, and the dress hit the ground perfectly!
