This dress is great if you're going for an effortless, edgy, romantic vibe and/or you'll be out in the heat. I wore it to an outdoor Texas wedding in March. (85 degrees F) You could also pair it with a cardigan for cooler weather. I sized up bc I wanted it to be on the looser side, and it felt just right. Silky smooth fabric that hugs the curves means you might want to wear shapewear underneath, but you definitely don't have to. It's that devil may care rocker vibe, so lean into that. I also didn't wear a bra, bc it would have detracted from the detail in the straps. Also, if you're looking for something navy blue, this is navy blue enough. It's not full navy, but it's close. I was a little worried that it wasn't navy enough to fit in with the navy bridesmaid theme, but it passed. (Note that my bride was laid back, though.) I wore it with some Eileen Fischer wedge platform sneakers and a lighter blue sock. I was adding a bit of nerd core to the vibe, and it sorta worked? If I could redo it, I'd probably go with Doc Martens to keep the rocker feel, but c'est la vie. Point is, you can dress it up or down with the shoes. You could probably also layer underneath in cooler weather.

This dress fit me snugly on top and loose in the seat and legs. Easy to walk in.
