I wore this to perform for Christmas. My preferred size is typically a 6 or an 8. The only 2 sizes available were 4 and 10, so I just hoped for the best. To my surprise, the 4 worked perfectly b/c the skirt is quite full and the bodice is STRETCH velvet. I paired the dress with a stretch velvet bolero jacket for more coverage. I am 5'6" and it hit the floor but for this type of dress, I preferred that look. It photographs just beautifully. Love the pockets. The skirt is substantial but not heavy at all. It's a very lightweight taffeta material. I had to press the belt bc it came folded in half. This makes a big difference in getting that nice flat belt in the photos. Very pleased with this choice.

Great dress for a fall wedding. Could wear a bra (it had the little snaps to keep your straps in place too). The top was thick but the skirt wasn’t heavy - which I liked. Got compliments all day. Loved this.

My friend who got married has Scottish heritage, so was happy I found a cute dress that honored that AND was comfortable enough to wear in Vermont in the throes of late Autumn. I also got dressed in a glamping tent, so this was great to throw on and did not get wrinkled thankfully. The top is velvet and the skirt is a little light, so not great for weather, but it's perfect for dancing. I paired it with a faux fur jacket and I survived the elements. Def recommend—as it is a statement dress.

A grand dress, but the way the skirt is set (how waist band and flare out work; hoe pockets are set in) was not flattering to my hips

Comfortable Dress. True to size. Wore it for Christmas Eve at home. Lots of fabric for the skirt and also, pockets. Love it when dresses have the bra strap strong snap on the shoulder. V in back was a little low so just Tuck the bra down in back and you should be ok. Beautiful quality and classy. My husband loved it and so did my mom lol :-)

Plaid is a classic! Love the long length.

The dress itself is very pretty and the long skirt makes you feel very feminine. I got lots of compliments and enjoyed the dress overall. It does run small, I sized up and was still tight around my ribs.

I wore this to sing in at my church’s Christmas Eve service. I wore a tank bodysuit underneath to give more coverage in the back area. I ordered a 2 but a could have easily worn a size 0. Got lots of compliments, it’s a great Christmas dress!

The back ties were easy to figure out once I had help LOL The dress was small, glad I sized up. Many compliments!

I wore this to a Traitors themed party but would definitely rent again for a holiday party

Very forgiving, especially on top. At 4 months pregnant and a size smaller than my typical size pre-pregnancy, this dress was still super comfortable. I would have liked to see how the 8 would’ve fit in the waist, as it might have sat better. But overall, it was the perfect choice for the holidays! The skirt is very lightweight which was a surprise, but not in a bad way! I wore it 3 times in the 8 days I rented it and received many compliments! Definitely recommend for a knockout holiday option that will be comfortable all night long!

This was the perfect dress to wear to the Christmas ball I attended. I received a lot of compliments and felt so festive. I recommend sizing down. I usually wear a 6 but I wore this dress in a 4 and it fit me perfectly.

Stretchy. Very comfortable. I think I could size down to size 2 but my usual size still works. I decided to go with another dress mainly because I wasn’t sure how I should tie the dress in the back. Otherwise, it is a great looking dress.

LOVE this dress - perfect fit (8 was a little roomy), super comfortable, able to wear a normal bra (snaps to hold straps in place), plus pockets!

This dress is so flattering, there is just enough stretch in the velvet fabric to be very comfortable all night. Beautiful and classy for a work Christmas party. I am 5’7” and had to wear my highest (3”) heels in order for this not to brush the floor. So fair warning about the length. I would definitely wear this again, many compliments all night.

I had so many compliments at our holiday party! I loved that I could wear a regular bra. The skirt flared out enough that I didn’t need shape wear underneath for my tummy/legs. No stretch in the top so if you are large in the chest you may want to side up. The skirt was very lightweight. And pockets! I’m short (5f3i) so the dress was very long. If I had heels it would have been perfect. But I had no problem just picking up the skirt when I walked. Definitely recommend!

I rented this for an event that ended up getting canceled. I really wish I had gotten to where at though. The top is a stretch velvet that is so comfortable. The car is perfect since you can wear a bra underneath it. The back is a little bit low we than most so shows off your back. The skirt is very full and has pockets. I hope to get to wear this again sometime but actually out of the house. :-) I would definitely size down if possible since the material is very forgiving. **edit** rented it again for an evening musical. Loved it. Feels like pajamas, but you look so put together. Very comfortable, and loved the fullness of the skirt. Ordered the 4 this time when I rented, and it fit me perfectly!

I loved this dress! It was so fun to wear and I got tons of compliments. It was a little long...I think a size 2R would have fit just a little better, but loved this one!

Sadly, this is the only picture I have of me standing ! The dress was perfect ! Enough Christmas style to be appropriate and enough coverage for a family event. The construction ( a "half wrap" ) allowed me to adjust the top perfectly, but I could have gone down a size. ( I be had a recent 80 pound weight loss and have no idea what size I am ) As always at 5'2" it was too long, but hemming tape fixed that ! Definitely would rent again, especially in the winter, the plaid just felt holiday

This was such an easy outfit to wear for hours. I love that it had pockets so I didn't have to keep track of my purse. The bottom half of the dress has fabric for days - it easily took me 30 minutes of ironing to freshen it up. I got plenty of compliments for this professional event. If I owned this it would definitely be a go to dress.

Perfect Christmas Dress, comfy & true to size.

I wore this for Christmas around the house! I really needed the 2 petite, but it was rented. I normally wear a 4, but it was rented as well, but the 2 worked out great and I think the 4 would have been too big.

I loved this dress. It was to the floor with a small heel. Plenty of room in the bust. Lots of compliments. I wore a jacket with because it was cold and I thought it needed some sparkle. Lots of compliments!

I mean, what girl doesn't LOVE a dress with pockets?! "Hey, I like your dress!" "Thanks! It has pockets!" - me every single time. This dress was great for our family photos! The wrap top made it easy to get just the right fit and it was not a super heavy, itchy dress. It was light, comfortable, and looked great!

The waist tie is actually a true wrap so you can tighten it to add curves. Very easy dress to wear. Normal bra straps do not show either. This dress was tailored to a shorter length, almost too short with heels and I am 5' 4"

Definitely holiday ready, the bow is a little odd and the fabric on the plaid is more polyester than anticipated but worked for date night!

Rented this for an outdoor birthday party with a "super-soft" theme (think flannel and ponies). The top is sleeveless, so I paired it with a black sweater (and eventually a jacket), but the look came together well. The skirt is made of a plasticky material, which I wasn't expecting, so the dress rustled a bit when moving around but was still cute and warm. The back wraps are a little tricky; it helps to start with the belts inside the dress before pulling them out.

Dress is so glam for a holiday party or picture. However, it is soooo long. You would need to pin it or have tape it in order to not trip and fall.
