I normally wear a 6 and based on what other reviewers said, I sized up to an 8. The top part (chest) was slightly too big, though. I'm 5'3" and the bottom of the dress hit me just above the bottom of my knees. Overall, I was very pleased w/ the construction and fit of this dress. I only had one option available for dress sizes and based on other reviewers, I ordered it and hoped it fit. I was also limited to receiving it on the day of the event, which made me a little nervous. But, the RTR reviewers and staff did not disappoint - it came on time and fit! I will definitely be returning to RTR and telling my friends about it!

fit like a glove

One of the best dresses I've ever worn in my life. Allows for just the right amount of cleavage to give a classic dress an edge. Slims the waist.

This was a back up for my shower so I lent it to my bridesmaid to wear. The dress was very flattering on her. She said it felt a little roomy in the waist and tight in the hips, but not so much that it was very noticeable to anyone. The color is a little more jean-like and dark blue in person.

This dress was pretty, but for some reason the way the material bunched up around my waist, it gave me a bit of a pouch for a stomach (which I don't have!). Because of this, I was really disappointed in the way my rehearsal dinner pictures came out (I looked a little pregnant!). But it is a pretty dress - it just didn't fit me well.

I was excited to rent this to wear for an important speech I needed to give at work. When it arrived a day late, I was nervous, but from the entirely positive reviews I thought I would be ok. However, once it arrived, I had a major problem. I could fit into the dress, but the zipper was so tricky that I could not zip it even though there was plenty of room (especially the upper back). Even if I could have zipped it, the structure in the stomach area is really unflattering, and I found it to be tight across the hips. That being said, do not rent this dress if you live alone and don't have someone to zip you up. Also, if you have an hourglass figure, definitely order a size up (hopefully that would minimize the abdominal bunching).

This dress was so great, but I actually only got to wear it for an hour bc of a emergency :( I thought it ran small, I was glad I got the 8 even though I'm normally a 6/4.

Loved this dress. Timeless sheath, great color and perfect fit! Very flattering!
