I was attending a wedding in Chicago in November and had zero intention of wearing this dress. Unfortunately, the lace Reem Acra number that I had intended to wear fit like a glove but had a rip on the hip that made it unacceptable. RTR threw a Hail Mary pass and sent me two additional dresses (free of charge) and this was one of them. Even though it was totally out of season, this dress was a winner. The fabric is substantial enough that it didn't feel like a summer frock (and it didn't highlight every imperfection despite having a bit of sheen to the fabric) and the shape was unusual without being too showy. In a sea of navy, black, and grey this dress was a breath of fresh air. The attached photo, despite not showcasing the dress, is included for one reason: the color is accurate - this dress is not as pink/white as it looks on the model - the colors are far more saturated. And no, I don't know why I'm making that face either.

I ended up not wearing this dress but it was beautiful and fit perfectly. Rent the runway has the absolute best customer service. I had rented 2 dresses for a out of state wedding. One for the rehearsal dinner and one for the wedding. The one I had wanted for the rehearsal was not available so RTR substituted another which I didn't like at all on me. Pretty dress, just not for me. And the one I had originally chosen for the wedding just didn't seem to be fitting right in the neckline area. In a panic I contacted RTR and they over-nighted 2 other dressed to try the day of the wedding. I ended up with my original pick for the wedding...using fashion tape which others had mentioned being needed. I absolutely loved this dress though and will rent it for a future event. I think it would work great for a bridal shower or daytime summer wedding. It gave me curves I don't think I really have. Very flattering.

5'2" 130# 36B. Black hair / tan completion. About me a Hourglass petite. This dress is beautiful. The base is a peachy yellow type of cream tone. The flowers are a lovely peonie soft pink to light magenta colors. Structured from the bust line down and gorgeous draping of the shoulder on top. Not a comfortable dress but really a classy and chic style. It's engineered well and constructed so you will stand and sit up straight and look phenominal. It looks fabulous on and nips and hugs bodies in all the right places for a curvy girl. I wore bold earrings and a nude shoe. If you are looking for a remarkable piece this is it. Not great for dancing but you will still have a wonderful time. If you are thinking you will like this dress you are wrong you are gonna LOVE it. No one will have anything like this dress on and it's just gorgeous like an impressionist painting. Enjoy shopping and hope this helps you.

This dress was great for a formal summer wedding. It was nice sturdy material without being too hot. It ran a little small, but just barely. Overall, a good choice.

It is my first rental in the Rent the Runway and I loved my experience. I ordered size 14 and 16 and and I ended up wearing size 16. I felt like this dress runs a little bit small. Usually, I wear dress size 14. Dress has a snug fit. I wore body shaper that helped smooth my body curves. During dancing you can feel that dress is somewhat movement constraining. However, I managed to get some crazy moves on the floor anyway! Definitely would rent this dress again!

This is a much sexier dress than it appears on the model--but would still be completely appropriate for a wedding, work event, church event, etc. I thought it would be more of a shift dress and not too form fitting, but it clung to my curves the perfect amount (tight enough to show them off, loose enough that I didn't need spanx). When I first tried the dress on, I was a little concerned by how bunchy it was around the top--I thought maybe I didn't have a big enough bust to fill the dress out--but that's just the way the dress is designed. When you have good posture, it smooths out. Cons of this dress: I wore this to a wedding with dancing. The dress was tight around my legs, making i hard to really get low. Also, this dress gives you T-Rex arms--couldn't lift my arms up above my head. So my hand dancing was a little inhibited, but I still managed to tear the dance floor up. I did a lot of shimmying looking over my one shoulder, which caused my date to make the comment that is the title of this review. Got so many compliments on this dress! Couldn't praise highly enough!

Loved the dress, but ended up not wearing it as did not fit well on my bust. I have 34DDD and the bra was visible too much on the side at the sleeve holes. I think this dress is wonderful...just maybe better for smaller busts!!

I did not end up wearing this but it is a beautiful dress. The fit was true to size and on someone my height hits right above the knees.

I loved the dress online, and couldn't not rent it when I tried it on in the showroom. Lots of compliments. I couldn't hide my bra through the arm holes -- no matter: I danced the night away anyway!

This was stunning in photos- neckline added interest and colors popped. One of my all time favorites- very flattering. I was prob about 145 lbs in this photo

I am usually between a 2 and 4 and 4 fit perfectly -- so dress runs a little small. Great fabric and the off-shoulder on one side makes it unique --- it is however uncomfortable to raise your hands and so I wouldn't recommend wearing this to a wedding reception or any event where you need to dance. This was perfect for the church wedding ceremony I attended

I rented a 4 and needed a 2, ran a bit big on me. I loved the neckline and the overall fit eventhough it was a bit big on me. Wore this to see a show and it was a head turner. I love Lela Rose and this dress was another beautiful addition to the collection. I was so sad to send this dress back, it was truly lovely!

I wore this to a rehearsal dinner. It is really a unique and gorgeous dress. Really did great things for my curves. However as mentioned in other reviews, you will not be able to lift your right arm or walk at a speed more than "leisurely".

Dress was form fitting & the neckline made the dress elegant. The neckline also made mobility a challenge but it worked out. My husband complimented me all night. Would definitely rent again.

Wore to a formal affair. Size 2 fit perfectly. Hit right above the knee. This dress has a much more sexy body conscious fit than shown on the model....but that's a good thing! It's still very elegant and much better in person. Received countless compliments. The dress really stood out. Fun to dance in but keep in mind the off the shoulder detail does give some limited mobility to the right arm...didn't bother me though. I would definitely rent again.

I rented this dress for a wedding and it was gorgeous but didn't quite fit comfortably around my hips since the fabric had no stretch. I would recommend it overall but it would probably be best if you're not a pear in shape.

It ran a little small, hourglass figures should order a size larger.

This dress is unlike a lot of dresses I wear but I got so many compliments, it is the exact reason to RTR cause you don't have to keep it in your closet when you probably wouldn't wear it again. The good - Its BEAUTIFUL I got this dress after another dress arrived horribly faded and this one is in PERFECT condition. It is expensive and new so that's probably why and I took advantage of RTR customer service when there is a mistake. I'm 5 '10 and wore heels so and it still hit at my knees, perfect length but wouldn't be if you were looking for knee length and shorter. Bad - your arms are down, the entire night, it is so constricting around your shoulders the way the dress lays. I literally could not raise my arms. I have NO hips, none at all and it was too big in the hip area. If I owned the dress i would have taken at least an inch out, and this was a 4, i usually wear a 6. I could not have gotten by with a 2 however cause the a line area was too tight.

Although this dress was definitely pretty, it really hugged my curves. I looked like I was melted and poured into the dress. It was awesome looking, but I would not have been comfortable. I was afraid to even sit down. I was much happier in the Halston backup I ordered.

I was sent this as a back-up, but did not wear it. I am usually a 2 or 4. I am tall, but have a bit of an hourglass figure. I received the 4 and it was too big, especially in the waist-thigh area. However, I think the 2 (I did not have this size) would have fit, but may have ended up being a bit snug in the torso/bust (34B/32C) area. It is a very pretty dress and seems to photograph well. This was my "backup" RTR rental in case my chosen dress didn't make the cut. It fit so well that it is the winner and I will be wearing it tonight. I was a little skeptical that it would look okay with my kind-of-pale body, but it's very pretty and a little gold jewelry will really pump up the glamour. Thanks RTR!!

This is the perfect dress to wear to a summer wedding. I don't think I have ever felt more appropriate dressed for something. Stylish and pretty, a bit sexy yet demure. I was worried it would look a little too white but it really doesn't- it is like a light silver or light pink on the bottom. The other pink in the flowers is really bright and pretty and the fit is super nice.

The dress is beautiful. I normally wear a 10/12 but went up given that it's a design dress.

Def need a strapless bra to help shape the top half.

Flattered my body but still allowed room to eat generously. My hips are on the wider side (~37") and the skirt felt a bit tight when I was sitting down and I avoided crossing my legs, but otherwise the fit was fantastic. Loved the one exposed shoulder, felt super sexy without being too provocative. I wore a sticky nubra do that I wouldn't have to worry about adjusting a strapless bra all night, and was very happy with my choice.

Fabric is darker the picture cut is gorgeous I loved the cut and shape of this dress! The main issue was the size (runs very tight) it zipped but I would not be able to move, dance or enjoy anything, ended up using another dress.

Very luxurious feel and look. I didn't have the arm restriction problem others have mentioned, but also chose to wear the larger size for more movement. There is NO stretch to this dress, so keep that in mind. I usually wear an 8-10, wore the 12 in this. I wished the wedding was outside so I could wear a big sunhat, which would suit this dress perfectly!
