This gown is fabulous and definitely shows off your curves! The green silk is pretty thick and there is built in boning so you can go without a bra or wear a NuBra with this style. It ran very large in the bust and was a bit too short on me so I think a size 0L would have worked better. You definitely want the bust to fit properly since the back dips down very low. The hips and waist fit perfectly on me, but I would size up one size as backup if you're more of an hourglass figure. Pair it with a statement necklace or earrings!

Tried the dress on at the showroom in NYC and everyone there, go-to-girls and other clients said that I had to get this dress. It originally wasn't my first choice, but I literally had people ask me if I had the dress made for me because it fit me so perfectly and I felt amazing in it. I was a 2R in Lela Rose and a 4L in Badgley Mischka I was a 2L in other dresses as well. I wore spanx under this dress but didn't need too. As it was backless I bought a nu-bra which is a must as well as fashion tape- You can't get away without either! It was worth the cost for sure.... I would rent it again in a second. I wore a 2.5 in heel and that is as high as I could go with the 2R being 5'8" (they don't have this dress in a 2L) I also had backup flats that would have worked also.

The dress is so well made. Even if it was a bit loose on my chest it still stood in place perfectly and it It fit like a glove on my body and hips. It was also comfortable to wear. I got so many compliments. Thank you Rent-the-runway ! I have to say that the dress I originally wanted to rent was returned damaged and so they didn't have it for me. It was one day before the event and I got nervous, but the to-go-girl was so helpful and together we found a solution. I never had such a great service from customer support. Thank you again!

This dress was incredible. I got so many compliments on it! People kept asking where I got such a stunning dress. As I was walking around Bannister's Wharf in Newport, strangers came up to me to tell me how beautiful the dress was... I felt like an absolute princess all night! People were amazed when I told them I rented the dress and that it hadn't been tailored just for my body. It was so elegant, so well made, and I could not be more thrilled with RTR! It was perfect and so elegant. I really cannot say enough nice things about my experience with RTR, I can't wait to use the site again!

I wore this to prom, because the original dress I ordered was ruined by the person who rented it before me. It came in at eleven o clock the day of the prom, but the stress of waiting for it was so worth it. I have a large booty, so that part was snug, but it was loose on my smaller waist and chest, but some fashion tape and artful pinnning did the trick. Even though I normally wear a six I probably could have used the four. Note that the long sizes really live up to their label. I received complements all night and I never failed to feel sexy and dynamite in it. I paired it with coral makeup and accessories and my date kept saying I looked like Katy Perry, which I decided was definitely a success.

I was a featured performer at a local event and wore this gown for my vocal of "I Dreamed a Dream." I loved the fit and flair of this gown. It was a tad bit snug but was a change out when my original order was returned in disrepair and I was asked to select a new style. It was pretty tight in the lower waist/hips, but overall a surprisingly good fit for someone who more typically wears a 2. As a petite girl, I was also pleasantly surprised that the hem was basically perfect with my 4.5" heels. I wore this dress for my "Sweet Double Sixteen" birthday party. it was gorgeous in person. The color is vibrant and i looked amazing. I got so many compliments. Its definitely a snug fit, I'm so glad they have a showroom now and I was able to try it on in advance, because I had to loose weight to fit it comfortably. But it was worth every salad and bottle of water! Lol!

Overall this dress was gorgeous. I got so many compliments on it and I felt like a movie star. The color is amazing. In terms of the fit: I wore this dress in the 4L, the 6 regular was too big in the bust and was too short. The 4L was slightly tighter on my hips, but even as a 34C/D it was still a little big in the bust. The main issue is the low back, which makes the bust fit a little differently. I bought a backless bra and used some fashion tape and that helped a lot. I was able to wear the dress all night and didn't have to worry about pulling it up so invest in one of those sticky backless bras and that should help. It would have been nicer if the boning in the dress was a little stiffer to help it stay up, but that would not prevent me from renting this dress again.

This dress is probably made for a little bit more of an hourglass figure than me, but I just didn't care, I loved it! I didn't quite fill out the chest area - I am a 32 B (which may be a lie to myself hehe) but if they had a 30B that would probably be me, I am very very narrow chested. The hip section fit me PERFeCTLY and looked sexy in a classic timeless way. Also I am about 5'4" and I wore 3" heels, but the front still dragged a little. There is a slight train to the dress and the event was oversold, so it got stepped on a couple times, but I was pretty careful about carrying it when needed. I received many compliments all night and I absolutely would wear this again. I would also point out that I think the pictures (due to the flash) make the dress appear "shinier" than it really is.

This dress is gorgeous beyond words. My daughter was the star of the prom! She has a small chest so we had to "stuff" it a tad, but it fit like a glove otherwise and looked amazing. Also, the color is such a beautiful green.

the green color of the dress is absolutely breathtaking...i am smaller chested (34C) so the top moved a bit more than i liked but pair it with a dramatic necklace and the outfit is perfection! there is no stretch to the material so sitting down gets interesting but not impossible. would rent this dress a million times over again if i lived a life where formal affairs were the normal :) the 8L was perfect length for me (5'10" without shoes) and i wore the dress with 3 inch heels so the dress sat perfectly flush to the ground.

This is a beautiful dress, however, I was unfortunately unable to wear it. I have a more pear shape figure. I am curvier through the but and hips and have a very small waist and bust. I ordered the size 8L and the hips/but fit perfectly. The top however was about five sizes too big. I tried a padded bra, etc. and it was still too large in the top. The issue for me was the dress is very low cut in the back and was also large in the waist. These two items combined to make the bust too big. If I could have cinched in the waist or if my waist was a little larger, it would have tightened that area which would have make the bust tighter and I could have probably gotten away with fashion tape, etc. This is a beautiful color and would be a stunning dress if you have the right figure to fill it out.

This dress was amazing but the top is huge. I am 5'7" and wear a 36B bra size. (Normally a 4-6 in dresses.) The top was too big - I could not wear the dress. I was so sad. It fit perfectly otherwise - great for hourglass shape.

Ladies, this gown is meant to be WORN. you will not just shrink among the masses of black dresses that you see at every event, this color is every bit as vibrant as it looks on the screen. it is G isn't just for GREEN, it's for GORGEOUS!!!! My only complaint and why I gave it 4 stars is that I was absolutely SWIMMING in this mermaid of a gown. The zero was GIANT on my petite frame and if my 32/34 D's were swimming I can't imagine a less endowed gal ever making this gown work. But no worries, an entire carton of double sided tape later, and those gals weren't going anywhere, ;-) But I would size at LEAST TWO FULL SIZES DOWN (I'm normally a size 2, and this 0 was HUGE) It was a lovely gown, and the best part is, I didn't run into my same dress at my event!

The fabric and color were nice, but the bust didn't fit properly. I have plenty to fill out the dress but it still didn't fit right. Sent it back right away and wore a D&G dress instead.

I got this as a replacement for a dress that I rented but that had come back damaged. I'm glad that RTR sent another back-up dress because the size 6 was way too big on me. It was a tight squeeze in the hips but the waist and bust fell off when the dress was zipped. Lucky thing that RTR has great customer service, they over-nighted the right size in my back-up dress so I still had a wonderful dress to wear!

Dresses that I've been wearing more recently have been mermaid style, so I thought this dress would work. The top fit perfectly...the bottom not so much. If you have larger hips, go up a size if not two. Unfortunately, I was unable to do that. Nonetheless, the dress is gorgeous.

Let me first describe myself: I am 5'7", 130 pounds, 26.5" waist, A/B cup, and rather "pear" shaped (I wear a 6-8 in jeans). I rented the 6R and it was HUGE. I mean, unwearable. The dress hung on my hips with my boobs out. Also, the dress came up to ankles. I had to double check that it was a 6R because of how wide and short the dress was. If you are pear, size down! If you are above 5'5", get the long!
