This dress fit beautifully. It does run small - in most clothes I am usually a size 4. It was a great dress to wear because it is forgiving in the tummy area, but still gives a slim profile due to the pencil skirt. The fabric has great detailing and the layers of peplum are really unique. Everyone loved this dress and told me I looked amazing. The bride that I was a bridesmaid for was very happy I wore the dress in her wedding. This dress was awesome!!

Somehow I thought I would fit into a size 4 or 2 in this dress. Luckily I got into the size 4 and it looked great! I love the cut around the shoulders.

The bust fit snugly and allowed for a normal bra. The bottom was very snug around the hips but the peplum covered it well. It also seemed to stretch a little as the night went on. As others mentioned the zipper is really hard to maneuver and you will need help. I received multiple compliments on the dress. My normal size was not available but I am glad I got this dress!!

I am smaller in the top than the bottom. I choose the size 2 since the top fit best. The over skirt makes the bottom more forgiving. Very classy length and style. Color is more purple in person that original pictures. Very flattering!

The straps sit nicely off the shoulder and the flexible plastic sewn inside helps keep them in place without falling. The fabric is pretty lightweight which keeps the peplum from looking too extreme. I loved how the front crosses over, while the fitted waist gives the top a nice structure. The zipper is incredibly hard to zip up on your own so make sure you have someone to help dress you! The size fit perfectly though and I received so many compliments.

I was a little worried about the fit based on the reviews, but this dress fit like a glove. It was super flattering and comfortable; fits exactly true to size. The color looks amazing in my photos. I am so glad I chose this super classy dress!

This dressed look great against my skin tone. I also rented the necklace too which made a nice contrast. I might be between sizes (10 and 12) so the bottom half the dress was a bit tight, but once I put on a good pair of Spanx, I was good to go. I got lots of compliments on this dress.

However, since I have broader shoulders I wasn't in love with the way the sleeves set on my body type. But it still fit nice enough to rock it at the wedding so that is what I did. I danced salsa with it, wore it for pictures, and made it to the end of the night without any dress mishaps, so how much more can you ask of a dress right? Overall a good experience with the dress.

I rented this dress for a 60's Mad Men themed party - perfect for the occasion. The fabric was thick and a little itchy. In real life I don't think it was the most flattering dress but I got a lot of compliments.

This dress was very flattering for my pear shape and the neckline created a beautiful line. I added a sparkly belt to take it up a notch. It is fitted through the bodice and waist, but the peplum was forgiving for my stomach and hips. The fabric was flimsier than expected and fashion tape did not stick to it very well. The straps are shaped with plastic inserts and are a bit big, so they didn't stay put. I had to readjust them over and over. The zipper also gets stuck really easily when you are zipping it up. But overall, I was pretty pleased with this dress.

This was the dress I rented as a backup, and I loved the style! I rented both the size 4 and the size 6, and found that the size 6 was slightly more comfortable, given that the fabric could be pretty stretchy and it was a bit loose all over. The off-the-shoulder neckline was perfect, and the plunge was not too low. It was very structured, and even though I walked around in the dress, it did not slip down my shoulders. The extra fabric covered my tummy, and I didn't need to wear Spanx. However, since I am much shorter than the model, the dress fell to just under my knee and looked better when I folded the hem under. I ended up wearing my first rental, but if I wore this style, I would've gone with the size 4. I would definitely suggest this for an engagement dinner or church event. It's not something that I would've been able to dance in.

At three month pregnant, I was nervous about fit and comfort. This dress was perfect! It runs true to size + a little bigger, which was perfect for me. I received tons of compliments on the color. The shoulders are wired and stay perfectly. Comfortable all night - 5p-1am. I was a part of the Gala committee, so I was kind of "on the move" all night. Great rental. You won't regret it.

The dress worked out wonderfully. The off-the-shouler straps had wire to keep them shaped, so I didn't have to worry about them sliding around. It was a cool, different look, and the front peplum panels were also forgiving after dinner!

Rented this for my husband's work Christmas party. It was comfortable and fit well with a little give to account for dinner and my 5 week postpartum belly and chest.

I was happy with this dress, however it wasn't as cute as I thought it would be. I did like how unique it was and the shoulder line was fun, however the wiring in the shoulder piece was a little awkwardly bent from previous wear. The fabric was really nice quality. Over all I was happy with the affordable and quick rental for this event

The neckline on this dress is stunning. I felt so elegant and classy. The material feels very expensive, and the cut is very flattering. On me the skirt length hit just below the knee. I will rent again. I might size down next time as it was borderline too roomy.

Great nonblack option for a 7:00 wedding. Thick material, best for fall or winter. I didn't go w/ a necklace b/c the neckline was so elegant. Just added statement earrings.

Like some other reviewers have wrote the color is much more berry than deep purple. Regardless it looked gorgeous on and was so unique compared to the other dresses. I did not wear this dress with heels and regret it because it hit way below my knee. It is very flattering and a great choice for a formal event

Beautiful dress but it unfortunately came with a rip near the zipper--- had to use saftey pins to keep it together, as it was too last minute to order a replacement.

The color is a bit brighter than in the picture and not too heavy. The top of the dress runs a bit small and because it's an asymmetrical fit can be a bit tough to zip up by yourself.

The best part of this dress is the neckline. I'm full-busted and so the dress was a little snug (the fabric has no give) at the chest, but fit great everywhere else. The peplum made it really flattering, though, as you can see in the picture, the backside of the fabric shows at one part in the front which I thought was a little odd. It was definitely more of a true purple that the pictures on the model show.

I am usually an 8/10 and I wasn't even close to getting the 10 zipped up. Ended up returning without wearing but my advice would be to certainly size up!

I rented this dress for a fundraiser for domestic violence prevention, so the purple color was perfect (purple is the color of dv prevention). I think a peplum is very flattering on me, and this dress looked great from the front and the back. The fabric was a bit thin, unfortunately, and it felt delicate, which is probably why the rental price is a little less than her other dresses. Actually, there was a tear on the left side of the peplum at the seam that I fixed with hem tape. Lela Rose usually runs small on me, but this dress was forgiving in the stomach and hips. I probably could have worn the 10 if my chest was smaller. I paired it with the Crislu tennis necklace (that I've previously rented but have since purchased) and it looked great! (Everyone thinks its real !)

Fit was slightly large. The fabric is light but there is a lot of it around middle and hips so not particularly flattering if the dress does not fit skin tight. However, the zipper is EXTREMELY difficult to pull up (requires 2 people), so wearing a size down is challenging unless you have a small rib cage.

This is a beautiful dress in person, the fabric and color are really exceptional. My only complaint that the zipper was sticky and not reliable. I ended up having to wear my back up dress to the wedding as the zipper would not work (on or off) on the day of the event. It was really a shame because it was really a striking dress.

I rented two sizes of this dress back in February to wear for a cocktail reception the night before my wedding last weekend. RTR called me two days before to tell me that the larger size would not be available due to damage, and I had four hours to pick out a new dress. Eek! They did send me the smaller size in addition to the replacement dresses, but due to my larger hips I was barely able to get it on. The fabric and color are gorgeous and I'm sure it would be beautiful on someone a little less endowed than I. Thankfully one of the replacement dresses worked out great, but I'm not sure I would use Rent the Runway again for such an important event without many backups; it was incredibly stressful to have to find a new dress on such short notice on a day spent picking up my parents from the airport and running wedding errands two days before the event. The customer service reps were wonderful, however, once I got them on the phone.

I loved this dress when I saw it online. I read all of the reviews and ordered the 8 and the 10. The waist on the 8 was tiny. I'm not the smallest person, but usually a pretty standard 8. The 10 was still snug, but zippable. I didn't wear it though because it was way too long. The dress fell well below my knees and looked like I was playing dress up. I ended up re-wearing a dress I'd worn to a previous wedding.

Meh. I'm not sure why this didn't work, it just didn't. I couldn't even zip up the ten, though I normally wear eight. And it wasn't for being too tight; I had the space, it just wouldn't zip. The boning in the shoulders that should give it that nice structural look just sat oddly on me. Maybe this would go better on a more straight and narrow kind of girl. Too bad. The color is nice and I liked the silhouette. Just not for me!

This dress not for anyone with a bust and curves combined, I could get it on, but it flattened my chest and was not flattering. Better on a smaller bust line.

I thought this dress looked beautiful in the photos and rented for a summer wedding. Unfortunately it didn't work for many reasons - it was too small in the bust while the hips were too large, the fabric is on the heavier side and this type of fabric doesn't look right for summer wear, and the color is a much brighter purple than it appeared in the photos ( don't like the color). I didn't end up wearing it.

I ended up not wearing this dress, but going out and buying one at the last minute. As other customers have noted, the material is flimsy and I had a hard time zipping up the zipper. I returned them because they didn't fit well, and the dress does look more matronly as another reviewer also noted. I had high hopes for this dress but don't think it was really what I wanted for a summertime wedding. I look forward to trying other dresses/outfits from RTR but this dress was not a good first-time rental.

Tight around the waist in the size 4. I hover between a 4 and 6, but overall beautiful. The boning in the neck area is great and can be curved to fit the angle that you want. Really loved this dress.m
