I wish I could own this dress! Absolutely amazing fit. I had a work event at Saks Fifth Avenue, and it was going to be a very stylish crowd. I was so worried about what to wear. I felt like this worked perfectly! This was my first RTR experience, and I was beyond happy.

Form fitting but in just the right places. Really flattering. Simple and elegant.

It wasn't the dress that I had originally chosen, but when the ones I ordered didn't fit right, this one was suggested as a replacement. It was overnighted to our hotel and arrived in time. As the mother of the groom, it was the perfect dress for my son's wedding. He was also pleased that I matched his black tux! The only thing that I would have changed was the shoes that I wore. Because the hem line is below your knees, higher heels would have looked nicer. But, I had no time to go shoe shopping!

The fit for me; a usual size 10; was tight, but a good tight. Any bigger, and this dress wouldn't have looked as good. It hugged me in all the right places. I had to wear Spanx to smooth it out, but I wasn't uncomfortable in the slightest. Given that I wore it to a wedding, I was able to eat, drink, and dance in it without worry or being too uncomfortable. Zipped with no trouble. The chest was tight, and the lace at the top showed my cleavage. Because the lace is minimal; though, I never felt like it was inappropriate, even for a church wedding. I paired it with the Kate Spade NY Garden Party Necklace for a light tough of sparkle. Wore a nude BCBG heel that was only about an inch high because the shoe didn't draw a lot of attention and it allowed me to dance all evening!

Dress runs small which was excellent for my small frame. I loved this dress and it was one of my back up dresses, but I chose to wear another dress. Material does not give, but is very silky feeling, the lace kinda felt like it was a little scratchy. Overall it was a stunning dress!

Wore this dress to the wedding of two dear friends. I received SO many compliments on the dress! It fit perfectly and true to size, it was extremely comfortable. I'd definitely rent this dress again!

Great dress. Worn for a work event. Was conservative enough to fit in with the business wear that many were wearing, but dressy enough to make it feel more special than anything in my closet. I will admit, I was only able to order 1 size, and it is more fitting on an hourglass figure. Probably would have worn one size up if it had been available, but I wasn't uncomfortable. Wore Spanx and it was fine. Got many compliments! Great material and dress was in good shape.

This dress is very form-fitted and mushes your body into a lovely hourglass figure. As I said in the headline, the lace detail is great. Perfect length for more formal events.

The dress has enough stretch that sizing up is safe and recommended for a little extra comfort!

This dress is conservative and sexy at the same time. I needed to wear it to an event that required covering knees, shoulders and elbows, it mostly fit the bill. The color certainly helped to slim, but the fabric and structure also hid any imperfections especially around my hips and thighs. Admittedly I wasn't the most adept walker in this dress, it was fitted on me through the knee so I had a smaller stride than normal that took adjusting to on my part. Ultimately I didn't care how I walked since it made me look fantastic.

Fits snugly to your body but the fabric has a nice stretch to it. The dress was in amazing condition.

I wore this dress to the Alvin Ailey Gala in NYC. I got compliments the entire night on the dress. It fit me like a glove and accentuated my curves. I even got a compliment from Gabrielle Union

This dress looks nice on the hanger, but amazing on! The fit was amazing and really comfortable!! The length and the sheer flower detail at the top make it such a sophisticated dress! Its a great take on that LBD every woman must wear!

Wore it for my brothers graduation. I felt a bit overdressed but it was so fun to wear such a lovely gown. I love rent the runway!

I wore this dress for my engagement photos and loved it. However, the 2 was too small in the hips, and the 4 was too large in the arms (as you may be able to tell in the photo). I went with the 4. For a wedding or professional formal event, I would recommend going with the larger size.

This dress was selected for me by RTR because my original dress was damaged and couldn't be sent out. It was a wonderful selection and I felt like the sylists had taken a look at my previous rentals to pick something for me. In fact they sent another selection as well. The dress is very fitted, at first I thought it would be to tight for Thanksgiving dinner but all was well. I especially appreciate the hemline length on Lela Rose. I didn't have a solo photo so you'll have to deal with other family members in it!

The dress is body conscious yet elegant and conservative - perfect for the political fund-raising gala I attended. I actually received a number of compliments from complete strangers. Was able to wear a black strapless bra and - thanks to slight ruching at the waistline - no spanx was needed. Only complaint is like a lot of Lela Rose dresses it was slightly short-waisted so I did need to pull it down every so often.

I rented this dress for a Halloween themed wedding. It was very well made, and the lace on top even had a little sparkle to it. There were a few snags upon arrival, but they were hardly noticeable. The dress hit me below the knee which was nice for the cooler fall weather. Like most Lela Rose dresses I've worn, the fit was tight in the bust and hips but loose in the waist. I found myself having the tug the dress down to flatten the waist part. Also, the lace became a little itchy as the night wore on. Overall, a very pretty dress that would probably work best on a straight/slender figure.

Didn't wear this. It is well made and beautiful, but just too tight. I was very uncomfortable in the 6 and the picture is with Spanx. Afraid I couldn't eat, drink, or sit. Looks better in pictures than in person. RTR was very accommodating and helpful with my return.

it was the perfect size and everything! It did run a tiny bit small- I ordered a size 6 and 8. I'm usually a 8, sometimes 6 if it fits better, and both fit just about the same. I went to the symphony and it was perfect! The only problem is sitting and your dress riding up just a tad bit. Otherwise, it was delightful!

This was my first RTR dress and I loved loved loved it. Fit like a glove. The 2 fit as well but was just a little too snug for me to feel comfortable dancing so I went with the 4. It is the length of this dress that I was most taken with - hitting right at the knee for the perfect Mad Men-era feel. The skirt was fitted like a pencil skirt but with plenty of room for dancing and movement. The lace on the bodice and sleeves was soft and comfortable and didn't have any snags or pulls. You can't tell from the photos, but the lacework has the teensiest bit of metallic sparkle to it - perfect for an evening event. If I could buy this dress I would. If you need something with timeless understated elegance this is it - I got so many compliments last night. I can't wait for my next excuse to rent!

Perfect dress for business casual dress wear at work! It was sexy, classy and comfortable in one. Definitely would recommend it!

I rented this dress for an outdoor, vineyard wedding that I was coordinating and I couldn't be happier with this selection. The sleeves were a bit looser than the rest of the dress, so if I had any complaints, that would be the only change I'd make. The fabric was thick but breathable and held up to a busy day of setting up, coordinating moving parts, and dancing into the late night hours. I received so many compliments on how lovely the dress was and how great it fit. As a mother of two very young children, I'm always looking for clothing that accentuates my good areas and hides those that I'm working on fixing--the gathered torso area of this dress was perfect for hiding my mommy tummy and the snug fit helped highlight a lovely hourglass shape. I was nervous that the top wouldn't fit around my bust (I am a 34E), but it was perfect. The length was fantastic as well since I wanted something that hit just above my knees. This dress is perfect for many events since it is so easy to dress up or dress down. It can be worn with a variety of accessories and flatters a variety of shapes. I was disappointed that I had to send it back-this would be one I would purchase to keep in my closet as the perfect little black dress.

It fit great, was comfortable, and a nice quality dress. The sleeves were a but strange fitting because I'm a shorter person, but for my first rental it was great!

This dress was so pretty. I was a little worried I wouldn't like the top but it was much prettier in person. The fit of the dress was snug but had some give to it. I am a 2 and this fit perfect in a 2. I would not have been able to go larger or smaller. This length was an inch or too longer than I would have liked but it just made it look more elegant. I would definitely rent again.

I usually wear an 8 or a 10. This was a little snug for an 8.

This dress is form fitting, a little heavy, and made with some give. If you are looking for something a little more conservative, this is the right dress. I am 5'1 and it hit below my knees, but not oddly. Great dress!!

I actually did not end up wearing the dress, because it was just a bit too tight. The dress itself was better than expected. Well made, great material, had some stretch, and the ruching helped, but I was a bit self conscious about the tightness in derrière, which was no fault of the dress! I would absolutely recommend this dress, and probably would have worn it if it was an evening event.

Loved this dress! Very easy to wear, comfortable, and fit perfectly. I really enjoyed wearing it and if I have the right event again I would definitely consider this dress again. Can't beat the price!

This is a great choice for women with height who want to highlight their waistline. It is comfortable, easy to wear and flattering. Especially nice length on tall women, as it hits just below the knee. The lace is very pretty, and has just a hint of metallic thread that allows it to catch & reflect light. I paired it with a bright & bold pair of patterned heels and never received so many compliments.

Fit true to size, but I prefer to wear things on the snug side. If you're unsure, I would recommend sizing up just in case. It is a fitted dress in the first place, so going up one size might be more comfortable, although I was happy with the fit of the size I wore. The lace shoulders/sleeves were beautiful and made the dress conservative without being stuffy or boring. The length was perfect for the event I was attending, came right to the top of the knees (preferred length for me at 5'8"). I would definitely wear this again and would recommend it for others!

This dress wasn't available in a 4, so I took a chance and got a 2 and 6. The 2 fit well, a bit snug-but true to size. Beautiful quality and forgiving.
