The dress was a little longer than I would have liked and I am pretty tall myself. It was more purple in person than I thought from pictures but my boyfriend matched perfectly.

Wore this dress in a size 4 and really wish I was sent the size 2.. I had a different backup size 2 dress that fit perfectly but was not as pretty on as this dress... Extremely comfortable fabric with a lot of stretch... Beautiful dress, I highly recommend renting it...

This was a replacement dress for another one that had a tear. Luckily it fit perfectly and looked fabulous. I got lots of compliments, particularly on the color. This dress works well for curvy girls, and I was able to wear a regular bra with it (occasionally a bit of nude strap showed, but it wasn't too noticeable). I wish I had some garment tape for the bustline since it occasionally folded down a bit. I loved that it was a bit longer which kept it balanced with the low neckline and gave it an overall classy look.

I was underwhelmed when I opened the package and hoped it would look better on. It really did! I'm between an 8 and 10 and the 8 fit with room to spare. I'm a 34D and had a hard time filling out the chest. Even with a nude strapless bra I occasionally had a little bit of bra hanging out in the bust which was frustrating. But regardless, I really really loved this dress. Wore it for a formal cocktail event for a children's hospital charity. It was sexy and classy and perfectly appropriate.

The fabric of this dress is very luxurious with a smooth hand, slight sheen and perfect amount of stretch. The color is beyond beautiful. I didn't need to wear a bra as, but could have if needed. I was so comfortable, and got tons of compliments on it.

I loved this dress so much, I wish I could have kept it! The 6 fit perfectly with some spanx underneath to smooth everything out. It had some stretch so was super comfortable for wearing almost all day through the ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, and dancing into the night. The length hit me right at the knees, and the neckline was just so that it was sexy but not too revealing (appropriate for church!). Other people have said that they could not wear a normal bra with this but I wore a nude bra and it was fine. I guess it depends on the type of bra. Overall, I highly recommend this dress!

I received this dress at last minute after my size wasn't available in my original dress, but I ended up loving it. It's a flattering cut, great color, and was perfect for hitting the dance floor all night at a wedding. It fits relatively true to size, with a little bit of extra room/fabric in the midsection. I paired it with Kate Spade chandelier earrings and a Nicole Miller bracelet.

This dress made me feel so beautiful. It fit perfectly. I am 5'2" and it came just below my kneecap. I like that the dress squeezes in at the waist to accentuate your waist. I have D size breasts so the top was not a problem for me, it fit like a glove. I am so happy I had this dress and received compliments all night long.

Love this dress, beautiful fabric and very flattering. Lela Rose generally runs big, I typically wear a 4 and I wear a 0 or 2 in Lela Rose dresses. Perfect for an office work party!

Wonderful dress - I got lots of compliments. True to size. Only issue was the fold at the waistline- it kept folding down and looked a bit off. Otherwise the fit was amazing. I felt comfortable the whole night.

Simple, sophisticated with just the right amount of sexy. This dress was exactly what I wanted for my work party. The color is darker than appears in RTR, which I was glad. It is a beautiful soft silk with a nice stretchy lining. It was a bit low for me in the bust area, more than I usually show. I'm a 34dd and there was plenty of room in chest area. I wore the 8 and I probably could have worn a 6 for a more fitted sexy look but the 8 was just loose enough. There is the weird pleating at the waist but that worked for me with my "pooch" . I would rent again. The downfall was the 8 had a spot cleaning mark at bottom of dress. I knew it would be dark enough not to notice, and even in this picture you don't see it. But it was disappointing and almost didn't wear.. If it was a daytime event I wouldn't have. *funny side note...tried to add photo of the spot and it wouldn't upload! Any other picture it would*

The dress was excellent quality, beautiful color and decent fit. My critique is with how the design of the dress has a gathering around the waist, which creates a poof that can look like a stomach pooch. I tried the 6 and 8 and they both did it. I went with the 6 as it had a better overall fit.

I wore this to a rehearsal dinner. Overall, I really liked this dress. Both the 2 and 4 fit but the 2 was a little form fitting and flattering. My only complaint was with the bust which seemed awkwardly short. The bust seam was too short for a strapless bra so I had to go without a bra. Despite that, it was a lovely dress and I got a lot of compliments.

Great dress. Really cool color. Made me feel very thin because the waist is great. Also very comfortable because the fabric stretches - great for dancing! I wore a regular push up bra because the top is definitely chesty. My size 8 came with a weird white residue on it as well as some small holes. Customer service was amazing however and they offered to overnight me a new dress or refund my money. Very impressed.

As the other reviews state, this dress is very big in the waist. I have a larger bottom and small waist, but was able to make it work. I wore shape wear which helped. You do need to have something up top to fill the dress out, in my opinion. The color is actually a true purple, more so than blue. I thought it was too long at first, as it was only a semi-formal wedding, but it was just right. It looked classy, elegant, and sophisticated, which is exactly what I was looking for in a RTR dress!

I wore this for a wedding and got tons of compliments! Had to use the complimentary wardrobe tape to tack down the bust on the inside or it folded out a little at the seam, but everything else was great. This dress was comfortable, feminine and flattering - worked perfectly for this event. I have nothing but great things to say about Rent the Runway-- this was my first time trying this service, and I will definitely do it again! I also talked it up to several other gals at the wedding - fantastic idea, fantastic service, easy and fun -- nothing but positive.

Fits loose through the stomach/waist area (well, I do have a pretty small waist though!) But this dress is amazing for curvy women! You definitely need a strapless bra. And it's not for the ladies with a smaller chest. But I LOVED this dress. It was cute, comfortable, and I was able to dance the night away!

I got so many compliments on this dress! It hit me at the knee, and I would definitely recommend a nubra as the straps and neckline do not work with a regular bra. The fabric is tight, but it stretches, and the color is a brighter purple in person!

I originally ordered a different dress but when I received it I just couldn't imagine actually wearing it. I called RTR right away and asked for a replacement dress and picked this one out. It was fitted around the waist and showed off a little cleavage. It fit perfectly! I received many compliments throughout the night and thereafter when people saw me in it.

As described by other reviewers, the material is stretchy and forgiving. The color is not as vibrant as in the picture, but it is a beautiful rich color that is flattering. Formal, yet fun.

The color was fabulous and the fit was perfect. I usually wear a size 4 but needed to wear the size 6 because it fit better across the bust line. Dancing was no problem in this dress because had elasticity. I received many compliments on the color and style.

This dress was simple in design, but a few details make it an elegant and classy dress for a wedding or cocktail party. The fabric is not silk, but it does have a slight sheen to it. The designer twisted the fabric at the shoulders, which makes a unique detail. I am loosing my waist to middle age, but this dress gives you one and hides any small tummy pooch. My daughter said it was very slimming. I also felt I didn't have to wear any Spanx or foundation garments to look good in this dress, so that made it really comfortable.

This dress ran mostly true to size. For this review on size please note that at the time of the rental, my overall size was bigger than it shows in my profile now. I was probably more around 170-175lbs, 34DD, a size 12 and slightly thicker in the mid-section from a pregnancy earlier in the year. The dress is a beautiful rich jewel toned blue and the neckline is very flattering. The style helped hide my untoned areas and gave me more of a waist. I'd still suggest wearing undergarments though if you have problem areas since the fabric has a sheen and could draw attention. A "two thumbs up to RTR" side note: RTR's customer service is absolutely amazing. This dress was sent to me as one of several replacements when my original order was not going to get to me in time (weather and shipments) for an out of town wedding. When I realized this, I promptly called RTR's customer service and got Claire. Claire is an angel. My first panic-stricken thoughts were, "How was I going to find a replacement in one conversation with somebody who didn't know me or my body? It had taken me, in a longer than planned state of recovery post pregnancy body, several weeks of indecisiveness to make the initial rental!!!" Claire spent lots of time and patience with me pouring over available dresses giving her suggestions and receiving my numerous vetos. I ended up with multiple replacements that were sent overnight to my hotel to ensure I'd have a dress to wear.

This was my second choice from RTR for a friends wedding. Normally wear a size 8, but the 6 fit like a glove! I received so many compliemnts through out the night it was great! The fabric does give a bit but I still wore shapewear for the smooth line effect. This dress is a great option for women with fuller bust. The color is more royal purple than blue.

Loved this dress! Wore it to a wedding and it was perfect for both the ceremony at the church and the reception. Super comfy too. My bra straps showed a bit so I ended up not wearing a bra--the dress is supportive enough that you don't really need one. A strapless would work too. I thought it ran a bit on the large side--if you are small-busted and on the narrow side, you might want to go a size down. The 8 was far far too big. The 6 fit well but could have been a little more snug up top. Overall, though, felt like a million bucks!

The chest is so low cut that wearing a bra would show, so I did not even try, Definitely need to be flat in chest and abdomen to feel comfortable in this dress. It's very pretty , and would look great on the right person.

It did run a little small. I was made of a stretchy material and was form fitting. The waist line was a little too tight for me.

Originally, I rented this to wear to a wedding, but felt that the fabric was a bit to cottony-casual. Nonetheless, I was able to make use of this dress for a morning church service in a somewhat formal setting. It was subdued enough with a wrap that it still looked classic. My only issue was the length, I love wearing shorter dresses when going out, but wish there were a few more options for knee length dresses for taller girls. I'm 5'10" and when kneeling in the pews it was a little dicey! All in all another terrific RTR experience!

I wore this dress to my friend's wedding. I felt like it was very flattering, the waist nips in a bit and the length was good on me (I'm 5'5"). The top definitely had some cleavage, I'm a 34DD. The skirt did require ironing when it arrived. I wore black open toed shoes to the ceremony and sparkly gold shoes to the reception. This dress is a little more interesting than a plain sheath dress and I felt like it was a good rental.

This dress is made out of a stretchy silk! I knew I would be dancing all night at the wedding reception, so I wanted to be comfortable. It was such a wonderful fabric. The dress does run a little large. I normally wear a 4 but went with the 2 in this dress. So comfortably and so classy!

I wore this to a friend's wedding where I was her personal attendant. It was perfect for all the running around, bending and tasking that I was doing that day. The color was lovely and fit was beautiful. The straps were a little big and fell a bit, but overall a great dress. I would order this dress again. Another great RTR moment!
