Very pretty dress in a gorgeous purple! It has a built in bustier for a little intrigue under the lace and is fitted throughout the bodice. There is, however, a little extra room in the hips if you are bigger on bottom! Overall a very pretty dress.

I splurged on this dress because I was putting on a charity gala and really wanted to look my best, both classy and sassy. The material is less like lace and more like wool than I anticipated- not as formal as I was going for. And although a consultant at the RTR trunk show in Philadelphia told me the dress ran true to size- I barely fit into the larger of the two sizes I ordered (the 8). I have a full bust but a fairly small waist and this dress didn't accentuate my curves at all. It did have room in the bottom though. I wore the dress in the 8 and I think I made it work in the end because I had to- but I would have like to feel more glamorous for my event.

This is slimmer in the bodice than others. I recommend a size larger than you usually wear.

This isn't the first or the last Lela Rose dress I've rented from RTR. They never disappoint. Due to the structured underlayer of the bodice, it was a bit snugger than past rentals, but I still consider it true to size.

I unfortunately could not even wear the dress as it was too small and did not get a backup size.

I was sent this dress because the original dress I ordered was not available to send to me. I was really upset and then found this dress and I was glad I couldn't wear the other. I loved this dress the only problem was that it didn't fit! I was never able to wear this dress. It runs really small! I was really disappointed that the dresses that I rented didn't end up working out for me. However, I will be renting in the future, RTR provides great customer service and because I was unable to wear any of the dresses I got a very timely refund for my rental.

The dress is beautiful, but the fabric is a little heavy and it did not fit my bust.

Runs very small. Pretty dress but I couldn't even zip it up.

I have a large chest which made the keyhole design in the back open very wide. I think if I was a size 32B, this dress would have fit much better. Also am 5'1 and the hem on the dress fell below my knee which I do not prefer.

This was a last minute stylist substitution, and it was such a beautiful dress. Too bad that I was unable to wear it. The stylist sent me a 10 and said that it ran large. NO WAY. I could not get it zipped, and it has an open back, so the zipper only came to my waist. I let my friend who is an 8 try it on and she could not get it zipped either. We let another friend who is a ZERO try it on and it looked great on her, but was a little snug. I had not worn this designer before, but from the other reviews, I was surprised that it ran so small. It is also a little longer than it looks on the model. Also, the back is totally open so you cannot wear a bra with it.

Most importantly, this dress doesn't just run small, it runs RIDICULOUSLY small. Is it in children's sizes? I read reviews and ordered a size up, but seriously should have ordered 3 full sizes up! I think RTR should adjust the listing or sizing. Couldn't wear it to my event...not even close. Other than that, the dress is very pretty. A good wintertime fabric. More deep fuchsia than pink or purple. Service with RTR was timely and helpful. Great dress if you can find the right size!

Ordered this dress in a size 6, having read that it runs small. Even that was small and the fit was definitely strange for anyone with a long torso. The torso felt like it should have been six inches longer and the lace overlay seemed too short for the lining. No stretch to the fabric at all, so I wound up not being able to wear it, pretty bummed. Would probably be beautiful on someone petite, though!

I rented this dress for a wedding I was supposed to attend. However, neither dress size fit. I ordered a 2 and a 4 and while i could get into both dresses with room to spare around my hips/booty region, I couldn't zip it over my ribcage even with help. I'm not exceptionally busty or broad so I was a little frustrated with the fit. It might just be the cut of this particular designer though.

This felt a little cheap, and the fit was completely off on me. I sent it back without wearing it out.

I don't think this looks like the picture at all. It was SO tiny. I don't recommend this dress.

I really liked this dress, and didn't mind that it was more wool than lace, but the wool gave it an older non-party vibe. This dress would fit best on ladies that have no curves and are very slender on the top. I was able to almost close it but had back cleavage, and no one wants that. Overall i think it would look nice on someone that doesn't have any curves and doesn't have a very muscular build.

I wouldn't recommend this dress for warmer seasons.

I've always enjoyed the amazing customer service from Rent the Runway. I had ordered a size 6, as I've never had issues fitting into a 6 through this site. The reviews stress that this runs small, so I ordered an 8 as a backup. I was called a day before my rental arrived and was informed that a previous customer had damaged the 8 and I would only receive the 6. Unfortunately the 6 didn't work at all. I couldn't zip up the zipper past my hips. The dress feels extremely frail, so I understand how the other dress could have been damaged. Seeing how the dress looked when it arrived, I don't believe it would have looked great on me anyways. I have an long torso, and the construction of the pleats in the middle of the dress would have made me look pregnant. So I rate this dress low only because it didn't work for me. Rent the runway refunded the rental and continues to have extremely great customer service.

With both dresses the fit was off, the size 6 dress had been worn and laundered so much it had obviously shrunk and the underlining was hanging below the hemline; comparing it to the size 4 which was in fairly decent shape and actually was bigger than the size 6

This dress ran very small in the bodice, and the tulip shaped skirt was not proportional. I like the corset bodice with textured overlay, but the size was so off I never wore it.

Dress was marked a size 12, but was probably more around a size 4. Definitely not Rent the Runway's fault, but it meant I didn't have a dress to wear to a rehearsal dinner.
