This dress is certainly light blue with gold details. Something I wouldn't normally have chosen at a store but figured why not rent it and see. I wore it with gold strappy sandals and a gold necklace for my office holiday party and received a ton of compliments . The picture doesn't do it justice. Loved the pockets also! A little tight up top so went with the larger size I ordered for some breathing room, although my husband said the smaller size looked fine too.

This was my first rental. I usually buy petites so I was skeptical about the fit but wanted to give it a try. I absolutely LOVED this dress! The color is amazing - icy blue with gold accents! Based on the reviews I went a size smaller than I usually wear and it was perfect. The seaming on the bodice makes it fitted and the pleating on the skirt makes it very comfortable and flattering! The length could have been a little shorter for me but it was fine. Received many compliments throughout the night! The necklace I rented with it was perfect also! Wish I had a better picture of the evening...

When I first opened the box, I was very surprised - I was expecting a gauzy, pale blue dress, when in reality, the color is a much darker blue, and the gold is more pronounced. The material is also a heavier brocade (I think it could be worn year-round, not just in summer). However, I ended up loving it even more in person than in the photo! It fit perfectly (I went with the smaller size) and was extremely comfortable - one important note on fit is that it is quite long ( I'm 5'10, and it was nearly knee-length, which is unusual for me!) I wore the dress with the recommended Kate Spade necklace, which received as many compliments as the dress, along with nude heels and a gold purse. Overall the look was a hit! I definitely wish I could wear it again!

This dress was subtly sparkly but not too over-the-top. It was perfect for my rehearsal dinner, held at a nice San Francisco restaurant. The color is hard to describe but in my opinion it is even prettier in person than the picture would lead you to believe. It fit very well and was comfortable to wear. By the end of the evening, the fabric felt a tiny bit scratchy on my arms, but I am sensitive to that sort of thing. I got a ton of compliments and felt fantastic in the dress. I should add that I originally chose another dress but when there was a mix-up with my order RTR allowed me to pick any dress at any price, and I ended up with this one -- fancier and more expensive than my original choice, but a blast to wear.

I rented this dress as a back up for a daytime wedding and my mom actually needed a dress so she wore it! Looked great on her!!

Sorry - most of this will be a review of the renting process because I ended up not wearing this dress during Christmas Day as I might have. It was a bit too formal for our at home dinner and I was afraid of staining it! But an absolutely gorgeous dress - the silvery/icy blue fabric is just the right weight and it feels and looks expensive. This dress was sent as my backup dress after the Issa "Break His Heart" dress became unavailable. I appreciated RTR's stylists who called and left me a vmail letting me know what had happened and asking me to choose another dress to be sent out. Since I didn't have computer access at the time, I called up the office and spoke with a fabulous stylist who talked me through the available options. She was knowledgeable and accommodating as we tried to find another red dress in a similar size and style still available. Unfortunately we couldn't find one, but when I mentioned that Lela Rose had some beautiful holiday-appropriate dresses, she suggested this one and did a great job describing it. (I remembered seeing it online but her description definitely helped!) She also helpfully pointed out some renters found it ran small but RTR's view is it runs true to size, and when I mentioned the size zeros in Tibi and Shoshanna definitely were roomy she said I'd be fine with a 0 here. And she was right! As I said, I ended up not wearing it for an extended period of time - just enough to take a picture and say hi to my family before I changed and dug into Christmas dinner!

Great simple dress, looks grey in some photos but it is more blue. Pretty shiny/sparkly in person. I would have probably worn a 4, but it couldn't ship (so last minute they sent me a back up option and complimentary earnings!). The 2 fit, it was snug in the bust but worked perfect. The length is great, just above the knees. Nude shoes are probably not the best option. I was matching Bridesmaids so I had to go with something similar to them. Would recommend - like the perfect dress to wear to weddings.

The dress fit a little snug in the ribs area, but it forced me to stand up straight! Pockets were a plus. I wore it to an event that I was working at. It was comfortable, allowed me to move freely. I also rented the suggested necklace, earrings and bangles. I wasn't as impressed with the way those looked.

I thought this dress was very pretty and fit really well. I loved that it wasn't too short, being 5'7'' it can sometimes be difficult to find dresses the right length. Looking at the picture you would think that the fabric would be stiff and thick, it is not.

It does run a bit small. I normally wear a size 6 but the waist was a tad too tight. I agree with others that the pleats can give the illusion of a tummy, but I took care of that (and the wrinkles from shipping) with a steamer. A lovely dress!

At 5'6", this dress fell below my knee. In the photos this dress appeared silver, but it's not silver. It's a periwinkle blue with metallic gold threads. It is a thick, but light weight fabric. When I tried it on, I recevied compliments, but I couldn't feel cute in this dress. It doesn't drape and didn't feel like it flattered my shape. It is possible I could have used a smaller size, which would have helped.

I didn't end up wearing this dress because it looked like a sack on me :( However, I gave it three stars because even though it runs large it has very pretty material and convenient pockets and would look great on someone with longer legs!

This dress was great! It hits just below the knees and runs true to size. The fabric looks like it would be warm and thick from the photos, but it's actually very light. There is quite a bit of sparkle to it in the gold threading, but it's not too much. Plus, it has pockets!

Loved the dress through it was well worn. I think the fabric hid the imperfections well, like snags and a stretched hemline. Loved the blue color with a pop of gold. The accessories really made this dress. I wore the Lulu Frost Alisia Cuff and the Kate Spade Opening Night necklace.

I wore this to a Casino Night fundraising party. I felt amazing and got lots of compliments! Loved the pockets! I wore my hair in an up-do.

The dress fit well. I love the front fitted section. The dress is adaptable and I think I could have dressed it up more if I had needed to but it was just the right about with some simple shoes for the fundraiser I attended.

This was my first RTR dress and it was a fantastic experience! This dress felt great on. The fit was perfect and comfortable for a gala event. The length was long enough to be appropriate for this type of event. The color is more blue than the picture shows, but I think that's a bonus! Highly recommend this dress. I was getting compliments on the dress all night, even from people I didn't know.

This dress is even prettier then the pictures indicate. I usually wear a 4 but the 2 fit perfect. It was very comfortable and the pockets were so helpful. I needed to keep my cell phone handy for questions from caterers! I do agree with prior reviews, this dress is not for bustier gals but since I am not, it fit great. This was my first RTR experience and it turned out perfect.

I often wear a size 4, but requested the size 6 as well. Offering a second size at no cost is a wonderful benefit, as the size 6 was the better fit. I wore the dress to a cocktail/dinner party attended by more than 100 people. I had on the best looking outfit in the entire room. The dress was a huge hit, and my friends were still talking about it a week later! I would not pay $1300 for a dress that I would wear only a couple of times, so I am absolutely thrilled with Rent the Runway. The rental process was flawless - could not have been easier or more efficient. This shall most definitely be my only go-to place for every special occasion from now on!!

The bust and waist fit like a glove, and the skirt was perfect in fit and length. The dress is ladylike and perfect for any daytime or afternoon event.

I've rented several Lela Rose dresses from RTR and keep renting because of her classic, ladylike designs. This dress is a bit more sparkly (gold threading throughout) in person than it appears on the website, but it doesn't make it look overwhelming or cheap.

This dress is really gorgeous! It is definitely more blue than it looks in the photo, but it also looks silver in some lights, making it really fun and festive! It is true to size - I am normally a 4 and I wore the 4 - and I also rented the Kate Spade necklace shown here on the model and it looks SO good with the dress! The ONLY thing I would change about this dress if I could would be the length - I am almost 5'8 and it hit me right at mid-knee - I sort of wish it was a bit shorter! Great holiday party dress!

The waist is fitted but not too tight. The gold threading in the dress is more pronounced in person. DEFINITELY pair with gold shoes / accessories. The dress fabric on the one sent to me was a little worn. It is surprisingly soft and comfortable. I thought it would be a stiffer, almost scratchy fabric. Not true at all. I probably wouldn't rent it again, but that's because there are so many other great styles to choose from! I'm glad I wore it to this formal wedding.

Pretty and elegant in a subdued manner. Color is blue with shimmery gold accents. Good length for tall ladies who aren't trying to wear minis. Easy to wear - no special undergarments required. I might have been able to get away with size 6 (if I was less bloated).

This was my backup dress that I ordered in only a size 6. Being four months postpartum it was a little tight in the waist area but fit better than my original dress. It has light sparkles in person, much prettier than it looks from the pictures online. I received many compliments on it that night. Probably only needs some large earrings and a bracelet as accessories. Rental was also a breeze.

I needed a dress for a conservative daytime wedding. The color is prettier and more blue in person, and the metallic thread pattern is quite intricate and appears gold in person, not silver (the dress looks silver online, but it's not). The dress was long on me (hit below knee, I'm 5'3"), but that was the point for the event. I'm sure it would look even better on someone taller. The pockets are fantastic and no special undergarments required. I ordered a 4 (my usual size) and 2, and wore the 2. If you have a smaller waist I would size down.

I rented this as a back-up for a wedding. My original selection was perfect so I wore this to an after party following the reception. The color is more blue than reflected in the picture. It has a sparkle in the material that makes it better for a party than a wedding. It is true to size and the flair of the skirt leaves plenty of room in the hip area.

I loved the silvery blue color and the fit. I'm 33/26/38 and this had a snug top and flared skirt that complemented my body type. The fabric is heavily embroidered so it's more textured than I was expecting. I could zip the 2 but wore the 4 for a little more comfort.

Overall, I was very happy with the dress. This was the first time I used RTR and I will most likely use it again. I personally have the body type of average chest, small waist, but large hips and butt and was nervous about picking a dress without trying it on. I was looking for a cut that would also hide a recent post-partum belly. The dress fit nicely and I received many compliments. I wore larger earring as my statement piece and some silver strappy heals instead of a large necklace depicted in the picture. The only complaint I have about the dress is that it was (to me) an obvious rental because there were little pulls here and there and string hanging off (not really noticeable to other because of the style of fabric). Because of the type of fabric, my rings also seemed to catch every now and then. It was very comfortable and I would rent it again for sure!

I love this dress and have totally fallen for all things Lela rose! The material was gorgeous. Can't wait to rent again!

This dress has a flattering fit through the bust and waist. I'm just under 5'4, and it hit slightly below the knee. The sparkle of the fabric made it great for a Friday night gala.

I'm typically a double zero or zero. Unfortunately the dress was way too big and too long. If there were petite sizes I would be in deeper love with rent the runway.

I rented this dress for a gala. It is a nice style for a business event, because it's pretty, yet professional. Don't be fooled by the photo. It's not even close to silver. The color is actually a steel blue with gold weave and a slight nude background. Therefore, you'll want to pair with accessories accordingly. Though it's not the most figure-flattering dress, I did receive several compliments about how it would change color in different lighting and it's sparkly. It almost looks vintage. They didn't have a size 4 available so I risked it and ordered a size 2. It fit like a glove. Maybe a teeny tiny bit too small in the bust, but still worked for me.

I love the fabric of this dress - it is a beautiful frosty blue with gorgeous gold metallic thread throughout. On the hanger it was stunning. On me - it gave me a pooch around my mid-section. My husband said it looked like there was too much material. Ultimately I think the dress made me look like a little kid. Just wasn't flattering. Did not wear it.
