Fit true to size! Very comfortable. I'm usually sensitive with strapless dresses staying up and showing too much but this was great and stayed up without being too tight. Received lots of compliments. Color is great!

The color is universally flattering, as is the cut. It's classy, yet unique with the origami fold. The internal bustier is tight, but it holds everything up.

LOVE this dress. It is definitely unique in color & design, and you will stand out at your event. The folds are very couture, and the interior corseting makes it fit very well. My favorite color is orange, so I was thrilled when this one was available. I felt sexy, classy and chic all night. I did read that it ran small, but I found that it was true to size. If you have a small chest, perhaps a size smaller would work so that you are hugged in the right places. The only caveat is that it did end up showing more of my cleavage as the night & dancing progressed, which is what usually happens when I wear a strapless dress. While some might not mind, as a D-E cup, I was a bit self-conscious and kept pulling it up. But if you are an A, B or C cup, I don't think this will be an issue at all. This dress holds you in very well - I don't think I had to suck in my stomach all night because the dress does it for you! And the knee-length is just perfect, as it elongates you while still being short. RENT THIS DRESS if you don't might feeling like the most elegant woman in the room! Hint: I paired it with turquoise colored earrings from RTR as well with bracelet of my own & loved putting the 2 bold colors together. Gold shoes, gold bag - BOOM, perfect outfit!! (Loved that I got a picture with PEEBO BRYSON at this wedding! :)

This runs a little large. I normally wear a size 2, but had to wear a 0 in this dress, and that just fit. It was almost a little big, but with a strapless undergarment, it held up well. The fabric is heavy and rich, and the design is unique so you'll be sure to stand out!

I absolutely adore this dress. I actually attended a wedding last weekend and saw someone else wearing it (it looked great on her too!). I wore this to a semi-formal event that I held in a conservatory (so bright flowers and greenery everywhere). The color was perfect; definitely orange. I was really impressed with how the structure of the dress held up and the length was amazing. Because it was a work event, I needed something to the knee, and this one fit the bill. In terms of undergarments, there is built in boning and bra-type support in the top so I did not wear a bra. I was thinking I would need spanx, but the dress is a thicker sliiiightly stretchy material so spanx were not necessary. Actually, since it was so hot, I think spanx would have made the experience not so awesome. I paired the dress with the Belle Fleur Collar from kate spade new york accessories and the Wishbone Love Note Clutch from Lily Pulitzer Handbags.

Rented this dress for a residency graduation banquet and got lots of compliments. Secure fasteners inside the dress prevent any concerns about the top slipping. The fabric of the dress was beautiful and substantive-- felt luxe :) Suggest having a tan to pull off this color and accessorize with gold jewelry.

I felt like a million bucks in this dress. It fit amazing, it was very comfortable and I didn't spend the entire night hiking it up like I usually do with strapless dresses. There was minimal stretch but just enough for it to be comfortable. The color is absolutely stunning!

This dress fits true to its size. I loved the length and close fit around the chest area. This baby was not riding down when I was jumping around on the dance floor. This color is amazing in real life-it was hard to tell what it would look like but, against my skin "GORGEOUS". I didn't have to wear a bra with it. Cons: I had no one to hook me into the dress at home-do not try to do it on your own (you will get stuck). So a friend had to help me when I arrived to the church. But, that is the purpose for all the build in hooks; the dress is quite secure. Also, the dress is a bit heavy which given the weather and that we were inside-that did not matter. But, if you are looking for something light and loose-this may not be for you. If, I could afford it I would definitely purchase this dress. I also went with the necklace recommended-I got more complements on the necklace than the dress!! It was a nice statement piece that but the entire outfit together. I felt quite elegant and down right gorgeous.

I ordered both a 4 and 6. Typically I'm a size 4 but I'm realizing I have a larger than average rib cage! The inner lining support around the rib cage was just a tad too tight and after wearing the 4 around, I decided that throughout the night it would be too uncomfortable. The 4 fit perfectly around the hips and thighs and looked great. I'm wearing the six in the photos and you can see the dress is a bit baggy around the thighs and legs.

I wore this for a wedding whose suggested attire was "black tie optional garden party attire" - you know you're going to need RTR when that's the description. It looked BEAUTIFUL and got a lot of compliments, including from people I didn't know. I usually wear a 4 and the 4 fit in this dress. It was not roomy but I think it would have been falling down if it didn't fit like a glove, so that was probably good. It stays up pretty well, though not comfortable for excessive movement or sitting down in low chairs. I wouldn't suggest it for very curvy people or if you want to be able to move around a lot. Also, the fabric is thick and the dress is fully lined so you might be sweating quite a lot if you're wearing this somewhere hot. For a cool late spring event, it was perfect. Also, as a taller person with a long torso I often have issues with dresses being too short but the length on this was perfect on me for a more formal event. Would not suggest to petite people. I wore with gold shoes and accessories. Would also look cool with a pale mint green. As usual, RTR service was fantastic - there was an issue with the boning poking out of my dress that I noticed too late to get a replacement, and while it did scratch me all night I have no complaints because their customer service comped the entire dress for me. Always a good experience!!

I wore this dress to a black tie optional evening wedding and I didn't feel too dressy. The material is really thick, which makes it flattering and comfortable. The color looks exactly like the picture, which I love for summer! It runs a little large so I could a size down for your second option. Also, I'm 5'0" and it didn't look too long!

I loved the color and The texture of the dress. It was very thick which I loved. The way it strapped in the back made me feel like it wasn't going to fall off (I didn't have to wear a bra). The only negative was that some of the ribbing was coming through near the armpit. I covered it up with double sided take but it didn't work very well. The way it fit and the amount of compliments I got was worth the small amount of pain!

As other reviewers have noted, this dress runs large. However, I tucked a strapless dress into the 0, and was able to make it work. The color on this dress is really lovely, and was perfect for a formal wedding in Miami. While this isn't a style I would buy, the folded origami was unique and great for a rental. The fabric is heavier than I expected--while this means the folding holds its shape fairly well, it does make for a warm dress if you'll be outside in the heat. On the whole, it wasn't the most flattering rental I've ever had, but a solid option nonetheless.

I rented the 6 and the 8 for my friend's wedding in San Francisco. I had read the reviews and knew ahead of time that the fabric was thick, which is perfect since SF is rather chilly in the summer months. The 6 was way too snug, so I opted for the 8. There are multiple hook enclosures around the bust to hold the heavy fabric in place, but the dress slipped down repeatedly despite the snug fit. It also arrived rather wrinkled, but I was able to steam the big lines out of it by putting it in the bathroom while I took an extra hot shower. The boning also poked into my side for most of the night. All in all beautiful, but not great for dancing and certainly not the most comfortable dress I've ever worn.

Loved the dress. Only downside, was the bust was slightly stretched out. I had to wear a padded bra in order to get the dress to stay up. With the bra, I had no issues though!

The dress fit like a glove. The waist was a little tight and the zipper was not an easy one to use, but once on, was amazing. The material is quite thick, but I wore it on a very hot and humid day and was still ok. Loved this dress.

Gorgeous craftsmanship, lining, eyelid back closure internal, never once need to adjust tug to pull it up. A bit longer than I would like as petite person but not bad at all mid knee.

I wore this to an outdoor wedding and was hot - because the dress is made of super heavy material! Its beautiful and well constructed - internal hook and eye etc - but its also not something I would recommend for an outdoor summer wedding. I was also happy that I sized up, because even though I have a small torso, it was very secure (huge positive, never had to pull it up) but I might have been uncomfortable in the smaller size.

In some pictures, the dress made me look overweight, because of the angle of the shot and the ruffle placement. The top was too tight for my 34DD size, but an 8 would have been too loose everywhere else. Overall, it was a good dress, just needed to pay more attention to photo angles.

This dress was prefect for a summer wedding. In the bust area it has an internal corset which was helpful for me since I'm relatively small in that area. The dress runs pretty big and thank God I sized down. I'm usually wear a 4 or 6 and in this dress I had to wear a 2.

I rented this dress twice because I liked it so much. There is not much of a size difference between the 8 and 10. I fit in the 8 as well but the 10 was more comfortable. The only problem I had was the bra that comes with the dress poked through which was painful. I basically had metal poking in my armpits all night. However, the dress was so beautiful I dealt with the pain.

Tithe dress fit great and hugged curves! The front fabric kinda fell so I secured it with fashion tape before I left and had no trouble the whole evening, including dancing at the reception!

Loved the dress, ended up wearing the smaller size so the bust wouldn't slip. The fabric is thick and the ruffles are firm. It lays well and the color is a pretty coral.

So, as I said this dress didn't fit me at all (the zipper could get up the second half of my back) but I have broad shoulders so this is a typical issue I run into. The color of this dress is PERFECT for fall - it's more of a rusty orange than what the model picture shows. It's also a very heavy dress. I ordered it because I was going to a wedding in Wisconsin in the middle of October, so I wanted to stay comfortable without having to layer. I really wish it fit because it was such an awesome looking dress!

The dress was beautiful however I wouldn't recommend it for petite women. I'm 5'1 and the 0 was well below my knees.

The color of this dress is quite stunning and perfect for summer/fall events. I wore it to a black tie optional wedding and fit right in with the other guests. The dress is well made and has a built in bra that is very supportive for a strapless dress. I have a large bust and had to go up a size in the dress because of that.

I rented a 6 and 8 for a wedding but both were too big so I didn't end up wearing it. I'm sure it would be nice on someone taller but I felt like I was weighed down by the thick fabric.

I rented this dress along with one other one for an evening wedding I was attending. The 10 was a little small but the 12 fit like a glove! I was walking around in it and my friend noticed 2 HUGE water stains on it! Although the customer service was wonderful, and able to send me another dress in 24 hours free of charge, I was extremely disappointed. But none the less, the dress is absolutely beautiful!

Unfortunately this was my first experience where the dress just not what I expected. The fabric was very heavy and had a shinier quality than I imagined. The pretty coral color pictured was a burnt orange in actuality. The crisp pleated wave down the front looked sloppy and the hem appeared to have been either raised or let out such that it was highly visible and a little stretched or lopsided. Luckily, my backup size hadn't been available at the last moment and I was sent another dress by RTR that was a better fit all around, but this one was a disappointment, despite seeing some pictures of other women that wore it well!

The bust on the 6 fit well but the hip area fit like a 10 or 12. Couldn't wear the dress, which was fine, because even though the color is very "summer"-y, the fabric itself is very heavy and dense. I would have been too hot at an outdoor wedding over labor day.

I am usually a size 2 or 4 so I ordered this dress in the size 2 for a July wedding. It looked beautiful in the picture but I did not like it on, AT ALL. It was very thick, heavy material. It was snug around the bust and then just went straight down and was loose everywhere else. Needless to say, this dress went back without being worn. If you have more a midsection to fill this dress in, and don't mind the heavy material it could end up being a really pretty dress.

Every other Lela Rose dress has fit me like it was made for me, but this one didn't even zip. If you're busty, stick with the other styles.
