It was a stylish & professional dress for an opening event party. Not too formal but very classy - I received so many compliments! I ordered a 4 & 6 but think I would order a 2 & 4 if I did it again.

This dress is made with incredible quality and detail. I went for a size 2 and was glad that I did because it was a bit narrow in the ribcage, but not across my chest. I likely could have done ok with a 4 as well, but the 2 fit pretty perfectly. Any tighter on the ribs and I would not have been able to wear it. I am not a tall girl (and my very tall boyfriend took this photo - so it's deceptive), so it fit me longer than it did on the model, just below the knee, but it did not look unflattering at all. I felt comfortable in this dress from day into night during a couples weekend with my boyfriend visitng DC and wore it during brunch plans with friends, walking around the city, and our dinner date. I felt gorgeous all day and would highly recommend.

Perfect length, and fits true to size. The fabric was a little less formal than in looks online but that wasn't a problem for me.

I wore this for my baby's baptism. It was gorgeous: a flattering shape if you're a little fuller in the bottom half, and beautiful, detailed fabric. Like other reviewers said, there is no give in the fabric but I was pretty certain that the 4 would fit after reading other reviewer's descriptions. (It did.) You could glam this up with red shoes, like the model, or keep it classic with black pumps and pearls. It doesn't wrinkle. I felt really lovely in this all day, and I was glad that I got it.

Fit me like a glove. There isn't too much give in the material but was thick enough and pleated in the right areas to flatter my body type.

I went as Anna Wintour for Halloween and knew I had to order something that was classy, chic and structured, to properly play the role the fashion icon. This dress was perfect! I actually wore it to work on its own, and received compliments all day long, everywhere that I went! The structure is so sophisticated and flattering, while the detail is so exquisite and flirty. Highly recommend this dress!

I definitely had to size up because other reviewers thankfully said the dress ran small - I would not have fit into my normal 6! Such gorgeous detail - the black roses are almost like a lace overlay/ embroidery. It was stunning and so comfortable. Flattering and conservative which was just what I needed. The zipper was a little tough to maneuver in the back, but if you have a trusty extra pair of hands, you'll be fine. Would CERTAINLY rent this one again. Wish I could buy it, but sadly do not have a spare $1400 to flop around with.

Absolutely love this dress. One of the best I have rented. It was actually rented as my backup, but was much more lovely and fit better than my first choice. The 10 was a perfect fit. I think some other reviewers said the sleeve opening was too tight, but mine was not tight at all. I have smaller narrow shoulders so that might be why. The pleating around the waist is very flattering.

Loved this dress - very flattering and perfect for a more conservative event. I wore for a baptism and was a huge hit. I did find it a little difficult to get in and out of the car in, just because of the pencil skirt fit and complete non-stretch of the fabric. Small price to pay though - fit great and got tons of compliments on it. Others commented about extra fabric in the front of the skirt, but I thought it looked perfect and the pleating laid completely flat for me.

Wore this dress for a wedding. When I first pulled the dress out of the box, I was surprised by how thick/heavy the dress was. This is due to the use of quality materials though. I typically wear either a size 2 or 4 in dresses, depending on the design or type of materials. In this case, I had to wear the 4. The 2 was like a sheath on me, and was unforgiving in the hips. There is absolutely no stretch to this dress. Because it was snug on my hips, the 2 pleats in the front popped out, accentuating my hips in an unflattering fashion. Once I tried on the Size 4, the dress fit perfectly. I had no issue with the semi-cap sleeves. The dress is beautifully designed, holds its structure wonderfully because it's a thick dress, and the silk lining does help insulate you just a bit. If it had been thinner, I would've been much colder. My one complaint is that the zippers in both dresses were incredibly difficult. Not sure if this is due to deliberate design - the zipper is meant to be hidden, so it's incredibly hard to zip/unzip. Beware if you have to zip this up on your own - I had to get assistance every time I needed to zip/unzip, it was impossible for me to do on my own.

I loved this dress and based on all the compliments I got, so does everyone else. It was modest yet still classy and sexy. My fiance said it was my best RTR rental yet. I wore emerald green gemstone earrings for a pop of color!

True to size! I am 5'4" and it came right below my knee which was PERFECT! Loved the dress and how it made me feel!!!

This was a great dress for my niece's christening in early January 2015. The dress is a lighter fabric, so if you're planning on wearing it in the winter, you'll probably need a sweater, like I did. I paired it with black tights and red shoes. The 4 fit me fine, but the armholes seemed to on the small side (there wasn't a second size available the day I requested it). Overall, this was a great dress and I received multiple compliments on it.

The 8 in this dress fit me perfectly - it was snug while being zipped but well tailored once on. The look is not sleek - the fabric is thick and the lace on the outside is looser, especially in the pleats around the waist. I thought the white fabric would be a shinier whiter silk but the appearance is more of a natural color linen (see pic). I went with my backup for my formal event. As the description states, this dress would be cute for a shower or other daytime party.

I ended up wearing another RTR dress to a post-wedding brunch. My mother didn't like the way the dress puffed out in front around the stomach area, but everyone else thought the dress was lovely. If you are someone who likes to wear black and white, this dress may be wonderful for you.

It was fine. It wasn't unflattering. It had darts at the waist line and a good shape...it just didn't do anything for me. It's a cute simple, dress.

I've wanted to rent this dress for a long time. Wore it to a work awards dinner where the decor was black/white/red. The dress fit perfectly, but after wearing for hours I started to get the red rash under my arms from the dress material, but it was minor. Loved it.

I was very excited to try this dress on and potentially wear it to a shower but the fit is very hard. I felt like the cap sleeve made my arms like chubby (the arm holes were very small) and there was a lot of extra material in the skirt. It is beautiful though! Maybe someone who is very tall 5'9" and has very small arms would look great in it!

This dress was great, very flattering and forgiving on a more curvy figure. The only issue is the hips, it is still wearable but the fabric does not stench at all. The lining was very tight in this area, but thankfully the outside layer hides all the unflattering tight lining!

Loved the weight and quality of this dress. Took the red shoes idea from the model on the website and added some red dangly earrings. My only complaint was that the inside liner of the skirt was a bit tight, which made sitting, squatting down (to pick up our little one), bending over a little challenging. Pulling the skirt up an inch or two (not scandalous) before sitting helped a lot!

The quality of the dress was beautiful and I thought the wide illusion neckline was particularly flattering. The underneath slip was as lot tighter than the outer layer of the dress. Also, I didn't love the pleats that hit right at my midsection. I added the pink belt to try and draw away from that. The zipper was also a little tricky to maneuver without help. It stuck a lot. Received a lot of compliments, though. The craftswomanship of the dress was exquisite.

This is a lovely dress! It's hard to tell from the picture but it's a white linen dress with a black lace overlay. Unfortunately there's no stretch but it fit me like a glove. I rented it for a very, very happy occasion and ended up also wearing it the same weekend for a very, very sad occasion with different styling.

I rented this dress for work when my office put on an "informational gala". I needed a dress that was demure and professional and this one did the trick! It was incredibly flattering in person and the detailing was beautiful.

I received this dress as a very last minute backup to an order that went all wrong. The stylist threw this in as an extra as part of a number of dresses she sent to try and remedy the situation. Luckily, I loved this dress. I had initially strayed away from it because I thought it might be "too white" for a wedding but it was great. The material is beautiful and the it is clear that the craftsmanship in the overlay is appropriate for a dress of this cost. It was a little tight about the legs and hips (sitting down was certainly dicey) but it was so beautiful on that I decided it was worth it. Definitely one that I wish I owned!

Love, love, love this dress. I got so many compliments! At first I was a little unsure, because on the hanger it doesn't look that special - but after trying it on, it hugs all the right places (very important for us curvy girls). Will definitely be renting again!

This dress was awesome. True to size and so rich. I had a shoe that I've had for at least 5 years exactly like it. I was totally fabulous.

I wore this to my best friend's wedding rehearsal dinner and my one regret is that somehow I didn't get any pictures in this dress! I was nervous about the size because I can wear either a 4 or a 6 when it comes to dresses, so I called someone at RtheR and she advised me that the dress tended to run slightly (only slightly) large. This was my "backup" dress from RtheR and I only could get one size, so I went with the 4 and it was absolutely perfect. Several people commented that it looked like the dress was tailored specifically for me. The dress is very well made and the fabric and fit is very high quality. Since I'm 5'11", sometimes shoulders and arm holes can be a bit small for me, but I didn't have any problems. The length was perfectly demure on me (just to the knee) and would probably fall at or below the knee for women who are a bit shorter than me. I wore it with nude pumps and felt like a million bucks.

Wonderful, structured, unusual, well made dress. Tons of compliments. Would rent it again. A little tight/awkward in the cap sleeves and it hit me a little long since I'm a bit petite. If I owned it, I'd have it taken up by three or four inches. Otherwise amazing.

Runs a little small. Cut was good but not as flattering as some other RTR options I've worn in the past. Absolutely gorgeous fabric. The lace is a very high quality over a very pretty linen. Nice option for a charity function.

The material was heavy, as noted by other reviews. I had a very difficult time with the zipper and felt it ran a little big. The texture of the material, though is lovely, as is the pattern, and I was able to throw on a jacket for the more professional part of the day and then wear just the dress to go into the reception and dinner at the end of the night. A great, versatile dress over all.

Beautiful, classic dress. I think this would be best for tall women with a full bust. I'm 5'9" and this was knee-length on me which was perfect.
