I wore this for a New Year's Eve party and received compliments all night. It has a sexy, but classy quality to it. It falls a bit below the knee and accentuates a womans body very well. It was very comfortable other than I couldn't raise my arms up above my head because of the way the sleeves fall. Great quality material and the lace is gorgeous. I would rent this dress again in a heart beat.

I am usually a size 14 (I'm large-chested as a size 36DDD and have a very large backside), but this dress was so popular and I wanted to wear it so badly for my 21st birthday gathering that I rented the size 10, wore no bra (which I think is understood that you probably shouldn't), wore a corset and two pairs of shapewear. That's how stunning this dress was, and it was worth the struggle! The lace detail on the top half is so elegant, and my friends could not stop raving about the quality. It feels very expensive. My only complaint is that the side-zipper (the only zipper) makes it extremely difficult to get into the dress, so definitely have a friend help you into the dress if necessary. That's not a size thing; it's just the nature of the dress. The dress was indeed true to size for a natural size 10, and the length was perfect. So, for every woman concerned with being very curvy like myself and not fitting into the dress, do know that the fit should be fine, and that this dress truly took my breath away. It's been over 6 months since my party, and I'm still in love with it!

I absolutely loved this dress. If you are curvy, I would recommend going a size up as there is NO stretch in the fabric at all. I would also recommend wearing spanx as it was pretty easy to see underwear lines. I wore a strapless black bra - my hair covered it in the back, but you might be able to see depending on where the dress / lace hits you. I am short and the dress came to about mid calf on me. The lace looks gorgeous in pictures. If you are going to a wedding and you intend to do a lot of dancing, think twice about this one. The sleeves make it difficult to lift your arms above your head. I would definitely rent again for a black tie event - I received a ton of compliments.

I had my eye on this dress for a while and, when I received a surprise upgrade, I jumped on the chance to rent it. I wore this to my rehearsal dinner and it was great. It felt well made, and the lace detail on the top was gorgeous. The lace photographed well also. As with most Lela Rose dresses, the bust was a little snug, but I felt comfortable all night. I added a thin white belt. I was very sad to send this one back!

The fit was definitely true to size but didn't have much stretch so it's a snug fit. I was worried that it would be too long but I think it was perfect for the event and great with a higher heel. It's definitely very comfortable - what a great experience!

This dress is stunning. It fits like a glove, and feels expensive. I got so many compliments on this dress. It was perfect for a cocktail-attire, autumn wedding. It's conservative but also sexy - check out the lace back!

I cannot even begin to explain the neckline of the dress: intricate, luxurious, simply STUNNING. The dress is very obviously expensive and well worth it. I found it to fit tts, with no wiggle room. The material is thick and has NO stretch. I would get your back up in a size larger. However, due to the lining, you can get away without Spanx.

I would not normally be drawn to this dress, but when I put it on, I felt SO fabulous. It's so ladylike and chic, and the material is thick and beautiful. Perfect for a fall/winter luncheon or show!

So was definitely overdressed for what I found out last minute to be an outdoor garden-style wedding, but nonetheless dress was gorgeous and an attention grabber - especially the back! Received so many compliments! Cons: dress is somewhat restrictive (no stretch in material), longer than I anticipated (past my knees), some of the flowers were not laying right on the back. Accessorized with Badgley Mischka Black Spade Earrings and Kate Spade New York Noir Shyla Clutch.

So it's a gorgeous dress. Very remarkable -- you will stand out and get lots of compliments. As someone said, the material is very stiff. It was very flattering in the belly area - I usually wear spanx but I was fine without them. I think the size was too small -- I could've maybe used a 2 b/c I have wide shoulders and it really flattened my bust. Agree with not being able to lift your arms above your head. Length was below my knees which is fine b/c I was going to a black tie wedding. Nude strapless bra kinda showed in the back -- black one would've been better. There was 1 flower on the left neck that kept flopping over - taped it and worried about it all evening. I'm pretty sure there was something really off about the dress beyond that: the part where the lace and the solid meet, there's a deep shelf there and the solid part like flips out and shows the underside. Also, my dress happened to be like sewn crooked(?) so the fabric gathered in a slanty fashion. It took a safety pin and a lot of fabric tape before I was ready, but then the whole night I was grabbing myself to make sure things were still sticking / not showing. But then everyone at the wedding got drunk and I stopped being so preoccupied with the dress. Anyway, it photographs really well, and hopefully the whole lace/solid junction problem I was having was a fit issue that you won't have.

Am very sad this dress is no longer available to rent. Wish it could be remade in size 12! It is a blue ribbon winner..

This dress is my favorite rental I've *ever* had. I even looked to see if I could buy it somewhere afterwards - yes, for the full retail price! It was that good. The silk is thick and structured, and the Guipure lace is frankly some of the most amazing work I've seen outside a wedding gown. As far as the rental goes, lots of dry cleanings have compromised the lace structure at the collar just a little bit, so it does fall, but the back makes up for any and all flaws. Runs just a tad smaller than you'd usually get because she's a more high-end and wedding designer (think wedding dress sizing). I'm 5'7" and it fell to a lady-like knee length. The top half perfectly fit my longer torso, as well. Love that this dress is JUST RIGHT for so many occasions.

Got tons of compliments; all evening long everyone remarked how 'classic' and 'elegant' I looked. I carry more of my weight in my lower hip/upper thigh and I admit it was just the slightest little bit snug there, but it's a matte fabric so it didn't look too tight. You will have trouble lifting your arms above shoulder height in this dress (due to the little cap sleeve). You'll have to wear a strapless bra. Very very attractive dress.

The dress seems to be true-to-size. It's knee-length and fits just right around the waist and hips. As others mentioned, it's a bit restrictive around the shoulders. I found it to be a bit spacious in the bust, but it still worked. I would definitely rent again.

This is a fabulous dress. Make sure you've detoxed and gotten rid of all your bloat before you wear it though, because it definitely fits like a glove. I had to have my boyfriend help zip it up because the zipper was stubborn, so you might need a buddy to help with that. I suggest wearing a barely-there lace thong to avoid those annoying underwear lines showing though. No need for a bra, this dress offers all the support you'll need.

I rented this for my parents 50th anniversary party. It was a daytime affair, but very dressy. The dress was amazing.. gorgeous fabric, and the lace on top is stunning. I received non stop compliments.. it has movie star quality in it's impact! Really special, and comfortable too.

I feel the dress fits true to size. It falls at the knee, so wouldn't be good for a wild night out, but I wore it to a wedding and felt it was the perfect dress for the event. This dress was PERFECT!! I absolutely loved it and so did everyone else. I got so many complements on this dress that it makes me want to rent it again! I am short so I was concerned that the dress was going to be too long, however it was perfect I hit just in the middle of my knee but didn't look like it was too long.

I absolutely loved this dress! I rented it for a summer black tie wedding and it worked out great! The dress fit perfectly - it was amazing and received many compliments. It's a little hard to put you hands fully over your head so might have to sit out for the YMCA but overall this dress and fabric is great, very comfortable, and easy to dance in!

This dress fits beautifully. It is very figure flattering. I agree with the other reviews about not lifting your arms above your head. However, i am 5'3" and this fit more like tea length on me instead of to the knee. It was still pretty - just not what I expected.

I had my hair done in advance (simple updo) but ended up having to get my dress on without assistance. I would not recommend this. If you can't get your hair done already dressed, GET HELP to get this dress on. Otherwise I have zero complaints - it fit perfectly and is crazy flattering while still being modest. This dress is pure class.

This is a great dress. I rented it for an engagement party as my back up and chose it because it was classier and more elegant that my other choice which was more of a party dress. It fit perfectly. As other reviewers say, the sleeves do sort of tie your arms to your side. For me, since I wasn't dancing, this was not a problem, but I could definitely see that getting annoying if I were. It's a nice dress with something a little extra beyond the LBD.

I was very surprised how big the dress was. I ended up letting my sister wear it because she filled it out better. The fabric was thick and kind of clunky. It looked great on her, but it just wasn't what we expected.

I rented this for my daughters wedding. It was too big so I was unable to wear it. It is a beautiful dress but couldn't make it fit right. It was hard to raise your arms up so might have been a little awkward when dancing.
