I ordered this to wear for New Years. It was my back up choice because the others I wanted were not available. I loved it, so cute, unique, and comfortable. I got tons of compliments. The only trouble was that my backup dress did not come with the order but luckily it is true to size and fit great.

I wore this dress for New Year's Eve and it was something different than what anyone else had and really shimmered in the light! What a great, unique pick! Loved it!

The dress was a bit worn and had some snags, but nothing cuticle scissors couldn't help to clean up. It was kind of difficult to zip up, but I was able to get into it by zipping it up nearly all the way and then sliding my other arm in. It was snug, but not so tight as to cut off my circulation. I got a million compliments on my dress which made me feel like the star of the night. Thanks RTR.

Both the 4 and 6 fit pretty well, I chose the tighter size just so it wouldn't fall down, which it didn't and it was really comfortable. Formal but still fun, I really loved this dress!

True to size, rent exactly what size you wear and go up a size as a backup. Just in case you gain a little pounds close to your event :-)

This dress fit like a dream. Was a bit tight in the bust, but that is usual for me, and was not at all uncomfortable. I got a ton of compliments on the dress all night. It is a bit of a heavier fabric, so I wouldn't recommend for a wedding in the middle of summer, but worked well for early early fall.

This dress fit perfectly and looked very sophisticated. I wore this to a church ceremony and a tented reception, and the schedule of events meant that I wore the dress for over 12 hours. It remained comfortable all day. I received several compliments, though I felt it lacked a bit of "wow factor." I wore sheer black tights but felt no need for any kind of shape wear as the material is plenty forgiving and hides any flaws, especially in the stomach area. Overall, it was a great choice and very easy. I would rent again.

I ordered this dress in sizes 4 & 6 (6 was the backup). I'm literally a size small up top, but have hips & a butt that sometimes push me into a size 6 if the fabric isn't forgiving (stretch-wise). I could zip into the 4 without much effort, but it was a bit tight in the hip/butt area which caused a weird pucker in the front of the skirt. The 6 fit absolutely perfectly! It photographs SO beautifully, but I decided not to wear it because I was worried the tweed + silk-lined fabric would be too sweaty for a hot summer wedding. I also would have liked for the skirt to taper in a bit towards the bottom instead of hanging straight, but that's me just being picky. I'll definitely re-rent if I have a winter event to go to!

Dress was perfect for a formal wedding reception I went to. It ran a little large in the hip area (I have small hips) and snug in the bust, but wasn't uncomfortable. I paired with navy peep toes and a silver leather bow belt. I got SO many compliments. The only con is the fabric is kind of limp so the peplum doesn't hold up as well as I had hoped.

The fit was PERFECT! For my height, the length was great; it hit mid-thigh. I had been dieting to make sure it would fit in the stomach area. That was no where near the problem. The structure of the dress covered any bulge (especially after a 4-course meal and several drinks!) The only place it would have been tight was in the ribcage/bust area. I couldn't even wear my padded strapless bra. I'm not even big-chested and it fit snug. It was so fun getting my boyfriend to match since there were so many colors in the dress; we could have taken it any way we wanted. Also rented the Oscar de la Renta Northern Lights earrings to match!

It fit very nicely, although it was a tad tight in the hips and a tad large in the waist. I have an hourglass shape though, so I have that issue fairly often. Other than that, the dress was perfect!

I would not have ever picked this dress except that i rented last minute and everything I wanted was gone in my size. HOWEVER, this dress was amazing. They only had it in a 4 which was a little tight but worked perfectly and was probably what i would have worn even if a six had been available. All night I got compliments and the dress is very flattering. Makes your waist look small and has natural flair at the hips.

Colorful without being obnoxiously bright. Very flattering -- accentuates hips and large bust without making you look fat. It was a little long for my "club night" event, but I didn't feel the length was awkward. The dress is so unique, I was getting compliments all night. The 8 was saggy, the 6 was a tiny bit tight. The zipper got stuck a TON but be patient, it's thick fabric and it will zip. It was rough to find a matching tie for my boyfriend on short notice once I got the dress. Overall, one of my favorite dresses I've ever worn; I am obsessed with this dress and would recommend it to everyone!

Ordered this dress for a surprise birthday party I was throwing for someone. It was a replacement order so I didn't have particularly high hopes but it was perfect in every way! The structured cut really defines your waist and the lines on the dress are unique and flattering. The colors are much more vibrant in person and every single girl at the party wanted to know the designer (bf wanted me to buy it too). I'm a huge fan of this dress, and I've rented a few from RTR over the last few years!

This dress is excellent for a formal affair that is not black tie. The colorful sheen and the one shoulder as well as the peplum detail make it an artfully tailored, elegant dress. I got SO many compliments. The dress is fitted at the waist, so I went a size up from my usual size 8 to stay comfortable all evening. This dress is perfect when the seasons are transitioning and you're not yet ready for pastels and spring colors. I highly recommend this dress for your next formal or cocktail event.

I rented this for a formal party and it held its own! The Rio Carnival themed event was the perfect place to wear this dress. The structure is funky. The colors sing (esp in pictures)! The length is right above the knee on my 5'9" frame. I was getting compliments all night about the dress!! My only complaint is the zipper was difficult to zip up (on both sizes that I had delivered). The fabric is different than expected - more of a wool/twill type look up close - but soft to touch - and definitely shines from a few feet away. This is an extremely interesting and unique dress - worth a try!!!

I wore this dress out to dinner on New Years Eve and to a party. It's definitely trendy, and I thought it was perfect for an occasion where I wanted to dress but I didn't have to be too formal. The 4 fit like a glove. While it happened to work with my body type (fairly relatively small chest and upper body/a little more going on in my bottom half) I'll caution that it was pretty snug all over - inching toward almost-too-snug following course four of our dinner. The dress received a ton of compliments and was so fun to wear!

Perfect for ringing in the new year! The fit was great, loved the sculptural look. I have a shorter torso and the waist hit right where I'm smallest and camouflaged my post-two-kids belly- very flattering (looked even better in person!) :)

I rented this dress recently for a wedding where I was playing a big role-- giving one of the last toasts of the evening. I felt amazing the entire night. The sheen of this dress gave it a really special, stunning look, and the thick, well-made fabric held me in nicely, hiding any little bulges. (I always go for sculptural dresses for that very reason.) I couldn't recommend this dress more highly, and I got complements all night long!

I call this the Avatar dress. I wore it for my birthday and got so many compliments. It is very unique. The fabric is stunning! It is a thick fabric, great for winter, and it also doesn't wrinkle. The cut is perfect. I would order your regular size and one size smaller.

This was my first RTR experience and I was thrilled with how it all turned out. I am short and a little curvy, and I have a short torso, so I knew getting this dress may have been risky, but I loved it so I went for it. I do think this dress runs a little small. I initially ordered the 4 and 6. I have a small rib cage, so I usually size down...but I couldn't even get the 6 to zip! Thankfully the 8 was in stock and RTR overnighted it to me and let me keep the GORGEOUS jewelry I had selected to go with it. The 8 mostly fit great. The only issues I had was because of my short torso the side zipper bent and poked me in the ribs some, but it wasn't a big deal. Also, the hem felt a little weird, like the lining was bunched up and didn't lie flat at the bottom. I found my self fidgeting with that through out the night, I paired the dress with the Badgley Mischka Blue Ice Crystal Earrings, AV Max Glitzy Glamour cuff and my own Jessica Simpson platforms that just so happened to have the same blues and greens as were running through the tweed of the dress. The colors are much more subtle in most light than in the picture, and that's a good thing. To my surprise the Holiday Party theme was Mardi Gras! I could not have had a more perfect outfit to fit the theme. I got compliments all night long and felt fabulous. I was able to sit, eat, dance and even hula hoop with no issues at all in the dress. I was completely comfortable. I often feel a little exposed in off the shoulder dresses, but this one was cut so nicely up top that I felt completely covered even with one shoulder out. Even with a few minor issues, I love love loved wearing this dress.

Grab your size and one size up. The bodice is so nice if you get the fit right.

This is a beautiful dress that epitomizes the value of Rent the Runway. It's so unique that you wouldn't wear it frequently, but wearing it once, it's a show-stopper. I wore this to a Hollywood Halloween party with a group dressed as Clue characters. It felt great all night. I wore this night with black tights but went bare skinned the next night and preferred that look. It's a little hard to zip into by yourself, but otherwise, the fit is great!

I have hips, this might not have been the perfect dress for my figure...but I still like it! It's for a work holiday party, so I feel like its conservative and fun at the same time. The fabric on the hips was a lot of fabric... I am short, short torso, so it was a little too much fabric there.

The dress was a great fit and featured fabulous colors. I received compliments throughout the evening on what a wonderful dress I had. The only thing was the dress had a bit of wear and tear to it, but that was okay. I wore blue/diamond earrings and bracelet and black platform heels with the dress. All in all, it's a perfect dress for a wedding!

Wore this for my rehearsal dinner and absolutely loved it. If you want something super unique and fun but flattering, this is the dress. I paired it with sparkly teal heels and got so so many compliments. White/cream are definitely not my colors, so i didn't want to wear those for my rehearsal dinner, but I still wanted to wear something extra special as the bride. This dress did the trick!

Dress is heavy - a tapestry material. It really was unique and the material is beautiful - muted colors with treads of gold. I wore a strapless bra with it and I it was comfortable to dance in all night. I didn't need a necklace and wore black strappy shoes. Loved it - hope to rent it again.

The color and fabric were far better than the picture!. It was the perfect dress for a Jan wedding. Wore it with black tights and suede pumps. The light reflected off the dress perfectly!. I loved how it hid my problem areas!

I rented this for a fall formal wedding and it was the perfect choice. It's been a while since I rented it and am just getting around to the review, so I wouldn't be surprised if it's showing a bit of wear to the material since it was showing some age when I received it. I found the dress to be a bit snug and went up a size, but I also tend to prefer sizes that have some give. The fabric is thick and pretty forgiving, so kept me warm throughout the night. I paired it with some green grey iridescent heels, black drop earrings and a bracelet and it was perfect. Definitely got compliments on the fabric and cut and stood out among the other guests in all of the pictures.

The fabric is surprizingly breathable and has such a fantastic luster to it!

Its a show-stopper! The fabric is a little wooly, so on the warmer side, esp as its fully lined. I would say its true to size, but on the generous side around the waist and hips- good for curvy girls. Loved it.

I was crazy about my look in this dress. Very unique and fashion-forward. The length was a bit long for my petite height but other than that my smaller back-up size was perfect.

This dress photographs nicely, but you will be surprised to find the actual fabric far less iridescent than in photos. I have "large hips" and felt the true-to-size 6 fit them adequately. I needed to use double stick tape to keep the top in place, as it tended to turn over at the meeting of the asymmetrical line and the side zipper. The dress is comfortable to wear (no tugging to keep anything in place, not too short when sitting, etc.).
