It's a tough call, but I think this may be my favorite RTR dress so far - definitely the most wearable. I wore it to a women's networking event, and it was perfect. Interesting and beautiful but totally appropriate for the occasion. The print is so cool and the fit flattering. Wore it with nude heels and minimal jewelry. I must mention my favorite feature, the POCKETS!, which are perfect for business cards.

I wore this dress to a summer wedding rehearsal dinner in New Mexico. The heavy linen was great for an outside summer event and the detail on the fabric was beautiful. I received many compliments throughout the night. The fit was perfect - snug in the right areas, with a nice structure and shape.

This dress was perfect for day to night. I wore in the office all day and then right out to a cocktail party, and got tons of compliments both at work and all evening. I thought it fit true to size though I've worn Lela rose dresses before in one size smaller. I do not recommend for really busty figures.

It is tight in the bust when you are exactly measured out as a size 6. No wiggle room there. It's also linen, so wrinkeled very easily. It made my engagement pictures look great, and has a beautiful paint-stroked pattern to it. I will say, it is far more tan than it is white/light grey. It's definitely more muted than shown. Still beautiful, but don't expect a light/bright dress!

I rented this dress for the RTR party in NYC - which was so fun! I struggled with picking out the right dress, as I wanted something that would be appropriate for work during the day - and my office is pretty conservative - but would also work well for the cocktail party in the evening. Given all of the glitter and glitz at the RTR event, I definitely felt a little underdressed and muted, but the dress was certainly work appropriate. I said this runs a bit large - but only because it didn't work extremely well on my petite frame. I don't have much in the way of hips, so the skirt didn't fit quite as nicely as it could, and it also was rather long - hitting just past my knees. The top through the shoulders and collar was also a bit loose - but it fit nicely in the waist. All-in-all, a pretty, sophisticated dressed for a more conservative affair. I loved that it was free for the event, too! Not so sure I'd ever rent it for full price again... My friend also felt her Kensington mini ran a little long - and she has rather long legs.

Love the hand painted feathers on linen- very natural and elegant. Not too short on me, which is usually a problem. Fitted to show off my waist, but not revealing anywhere- exactly what I wanted.

Perfect fit though since I am 5'4" I had to use garment tape to "hem" it so the skirt didn't cover my knees. Otherwise very flattering to my shape!

The fit is tight in the chest and waist, but when it's right the dress is gorgeous! Highly recommend.

I wore this dress to a conference. It was fabulous without being overly formal. The fit was flattering and comfortable. Great construction. The pockets were very convenient. I received many compliments, including from a friend who took one look and said "I want that dress." Personally, if I owned this dress, it would quickly become a wardrobe staple.

Wore this to a luncheon bridal shower in early spring in New England. That is a tough combination to put together an outfit for, especially for someone who likes to push the envelope past the usual preppy attire. I wore it with black tights and black heels, and the fit was so beautiful but the fabric and print were so unique that it made a fantastic outfit. I'm short -- 5'2" -- so hem tape was very useful...the dress looked a bit dowdy when it hit below the knees. But no one knew and everyone loved it!

This dress is absolutely fabulous! I had a charity luncheon and it was just perfect. Ended up wearing the dress for a dinner that evening as well (just changed the shoes). Received many compliments! The print is lovely.

I wore this dress to an all-day family event, and it was comfortable and lovely the entire time. If anything, the waist is a tiny bit snug, so don't eat a whole pizza before wearing it, but it fit perfectly in every other way and I was able to transition easily from daytime to the party later that night! A great pick.

I have to say that this dress is beautiful on the hanger AND on - however I think I see what the other ladies' problem was when they tried it on and said it didn't appear as beautiful on. The color of the dress is more akin to a light brownish taupe and may not flatter all. I for one, have an olive comlpexion and the dress just didn't complement me as well as say someone with a complexion closer to the model shown here. I found no fitting problems with the dress - It still is a gorgeous dress for whatever occasion you want it for.

Perfect balance of business and fashion! I got a job in this dress - may be lucky! I'm a size 6, fit perfectly and stayed wrinkle free the whole day!

This was an awesome dress but it does run big and the pockets do add a little bulk to the hips. If you dont have big hips it creates a nice shape but if you have an issue with your hips already I would avoid this dress.

It fit very well, well made, true to size.

The handpainted feather design really made this a show stopper. The tailoring was very flattering and form fitting, yet concealed a little stomach bump. It was perfect for a garden wedding!

I originally ordered this dress to wear to my law school graduation. The background color is a little more taupe and less grey in real life than in the picture. It was a very pretty dress but it was HUGE on me. I could've fit at least one and a half of me in it. I'm 5'7", 107 lbs., so I'm really tiny, but even so I usually fit into a Size 0 and this one was entirely too big. It was beautiful, though, sophisticated but still fun, if only it had fit!

The fit runs a bit large and this dress should be worn fitted so I recommend planning on wearing your smaller size (I'm usually a size 2, but I wore this dress in 0). The length wasn't too high above the knee so it was suitable for a morning business meeting where I gave a presentation. I accessorized with simple gold earrings and a bangle. I wore peep toe neutral heels.

Lela Rose makes beautiful dresses! The structure was perfect, but the length was more career appropriate, or for a very conservative wedding (if you are 5'5 and under).

To begin with, I had not ordered this dress. The dress I ordered wasn't returned by the previous person and this was the dress they sent me to replace it. It wasn't what I wanted to wear that night - still, it didn't fit me well at all, so unfortunately this review is probably not that helpful.

I have what I think is a big rib cage and this dress just hit me at the exact wrong spot. Would be very cute though on someone with different (less ribby?) proportions. Also worth noting that the color was more tan and less gray than I was expecting.

I rented this dress for a baby shower in the spring, and I absolutely LOVED it. Unfortunately, I was unable to wear it because both sizes I received (the 4 and 6) were too small. I probably could have gotten away with wearing the 6, but it didn't fall right because it was tight around the midsection/ribcage area. I generally wear a 4, sometimes a 6. I would definitely recommend sizing up in this dress, but it is really beautiful and would be perfect for a shower or an evening work event.

This dress is STUNNING in person...on the hanger! Not so much on the actual body. The pockets are very exaggerated and unflattering when the dress is on-it really only worked when my hands were in the pockets. Also, ran about 1 1/2 sizes small and is quite long-I barely fit into my backup size and it hit me at the bottom of my kneecap, not the top like pictured/I assumed. All told though, the dress is still beautiful to behold, I wish it had worked for me!

Something about the cut of this dress made it look funny on my hips and I didn't end up wearing the dress. The color and pattern were beautiful, but it just didn't work.

Agree with the other renters that the dress looks beautiful on the hanger but not so much on. It is very strangely proportioned with the top almost fitting and the bottom hanging like a sack.

I wore this dress for a law school graduation party and it was perfect! The fit is very flattering and slimming. The feathering detail on the dress really stands out. It is definitely tight in the chest area so ladies with a bigger bust will have a very snug fit (I'm 36DD); however, I liked the support and overall effect of the fit on the chest.
