I always rent two sizes and the 8 fit perfectly...10 was too big. Only con...the built in bra did not have a clip so I was unable to fasten it. My husband said you couldn't tell from the back. I wore a strapless bra and it was fine. Pro...everything else! Rent it :)

Typically I am a size 6 and I wish I got the size smaller - it was a little loose but with a belt it worked perfectly. The color is beautiful and it's great for spring/summer outside events.

I rented this dress for a Steeplechase event in Nashville. All day outdoors in the middle of May can be super hot and humid, so I wanted something that wasn't clingy. As usual, Lily was great! It runs big and isn't that form-fitted, so it didn't cling to me in the heat. The one shoulder ruffle detail was the perfect touch. I got lots of compliments all day and fit in perfectly at the horse race. I ordered my regular size, and then a size down as a backup (based on reviews). I ended up wearing the smaller size because it fit better. It has boning in the dress, so you don't need to wear a bra if you don't want to, but I wore a strapless and was fine. Great dress that would I love to own!

It fit great. I have a bigger chest so it was a a little snug around the underarms but fit well overall. True to size.

The dress was a wonderful color and I received so many compliments. It was less fitted in the waist than I expected, so it felt a little baggy/loose to me, but it still looked great (and was probably more comfortable because of this). I was able to wear it all day for a spring outdoor bridal shower. There is some ribbing inside the dress, but a strapless bra is still a must.

I really loved this dress. I ordered this as my free birthday dress. Unfortunately, it felt a little dressy for just my birthday dinner and day so I swapped dresses. I would recommend this for a wedding or the Kentucky derby. The ruffles were just a little too much with the pink for me, but if that's your style it's adorable. The boning inside was a little tight on the 0, but I do have a larger rib cage, and I have that issue with many dresses. The 2 fit well in the bust/rib cage, but the body was a little baggy. I wish I had an event to rent this again for.

I wore the smaller size dress of the two that I ordered. I am generally a size 8, but in this case I wore a 6. I would say the size 6 of this dress was slightly bigger than other size 6 dresses that I've tried, but not by a ton. I was worried that the dress would fall too low on my legs (I'm only about 5'1), but it looked great, especially with heels. The dress was really high quality, super comfortable and perfect for a spring wedding!

I planned my best friends graduation party, and this was the perfect hostess dress. We were on a small boat in Newport Beach, and the dress was perfect for the California May weather but the fabric was warm enough to keep out the ocean breeze. It was very comfortable as I was running around getting everything ready, but it was bright and fun and perfect for the occasion. The structure of the dress allows it to be very flattering, and it was the perfect length that I wasn't worried about bending over or anything. Always trust Lilly for a party dress!

I wore this for a wedding where my fiance was the best man. I was so comfortable and confident the entire night. The dress was so fun and flirty and I loved the bright color. The dress has built in shaping which makes it very flattering around the chest and waist!! Not frumpy at all like many other LP dresses.

I rented this for the annual croquet match in the area. Imagine, Kentucky derby. Of course I had to rent a Lilly Dress! As everyone stated the dress does run large and boxy. So I rented a smaller size. It fit quite well, but a little baggy around the midsection. Threw on a belt to redefine my waist. I wasn't aware that the dress had boning. Since I'm petite I felt like the boning was a little long against the torso. Length was perfect. Material perfect for 70's weather.

The dress is a tad longer than it appears in the picture, and the bust is very tight, almost like a corset so a bra is optional, which is always nice. Other than that its a great dress, the pink is so bright and pretty in person. Perfect for summer parties

It fit well, but was a little baggy on the stomach area and lower back. It was very comfortable and I enjoyed wearing this dress for a Kentucky Derby party and parties at night. I received a countless number of compliments on how I looked in the dress. Perfect choice!

This dress was a southerner's dream! I wore it to church for Easter Sunday in Savannah, Georgia and could not be happier. Perfect for spring! Like other reviews have said, the dress does run a little large. I could have worn the 8, but in favor of being a little more comfortable since I was sitting down most of the time, went with the 10, my usual size. It does have boning in the bodice, so be aware of that. I did not mind, but some with sensitive skin might. You do need a strapless bra, but the beauty of the one shoulder style is definitely worth it. Order this dress in your usual size and one size down! You won't regret it!

Rented this dress for my 12 year old daughter during a rent 1 get 2 free sale. It was her first dress I've rented from RTR for her. Fit great but was a little loose. My daughter thought it was a little pillow sackish but I thought it was completely age appropriate!

Loved this one shoulder ruffle and received so many compliments! It does run larger than most Lilly, so I was able to wear my usual size when normally I would size up for Lilly. There is ribbing in the front and back that got a little uncomfortable by the end but overall didn't bother me. Great dress!

I wanted something colorful for a luncheon. This was my 2nd choice. The first (another Lilly) did not have my size. I planned to wear some fuchsia colored fabric sandals. However the sandals looked too worn and casual with this dress. I decided on a pair of red pumps. I wore this to have my hair done and received compliments. However the weather was cold and my pale pink wrap around my shoulders just didn't seem right. I knew that the banquet room would be cool. So I decided to wear a pair of nude fishnet hose, my red ankle cowgirl boots and a short denim jacket. I did receive compliments. The red boots set the outfit off. . While at the luncheon a lady was talking about some Lilly Pulitzer dresses she has at home and said she bought them 40 years ago. Her granddaughter wants to borrow them. So wonderful to be able to wear a designer dress. Am I the only customer who would love to see RTR rent shoes? Shoes finish off an outfit. You offer so many other accessories why not shoes? I am sure there are ways to sanitize them between rentals. Customers could rent every thing and really have a WOW factor.

Wore this dress to a birthday party that was on a marina. It was perfect for the occasion. There is great boning inside the dress, so it is bra optional if you so choose. Great length, and the ruffled one shoulder provided the perfect amount of coverage. It is a substantial dress, but not heavy enough to be uncomfortable or too hot. My usual size fit great. This dress isn't meant to fit super tight, so keep that in mind when ordering. I sized up because sometimes I find Lily dresses to run small but not with this dress. I'd suggest selecting the smaller size as a backup, especially if you are smaller up top. Overall, this was a fantastic dress and I'd rent it again.

I got a size too big and it was a little baggy but it was still my dream dress for my Graduation party and to wear under my gown. I loved it and I had a wonderful experience with RTR!

I ended up not wearing this dress because the event was more formal than sundresses, but I fell in love with this dress. It is so comfortable and SO flattering. After trying this dress on I wanted to actually buy it but I couldn't find it =(. I plan on renting this dress again soon!!

I had a 2 and a 4 shipped to me, and the 2 proved to be way too big. On the model, this dress looks slim at the waist, but it is really more of a shift. I had to wear a belt because there was so much extra fabric around the middle.

I wore the size 4 and this was failry baggy and big-I easily could have worn a size 2. The stomach area was the baggiest part. It fit fine in my bust area-34B and I didn't wear a bra.

Wore this to a summer bachelorette party. It was fun and comfortable - exactly what I needed. The boning in the bodice is great, so that you don't have to wear a bra. Would definitely recommend!

This dress made the perfect pink splash a summer wedding. I added a white rope belt and gave it a nautical theme and since it was loose around the waist.

I rented this dress for a steeplechase horserace. Wore it with a cute floppy hat and it was perfect! The design of the dress is very sophisticated, but watch out, it does run large. I've known Lilly Pulitzer's dresses to run large regardless, but this has a straight fit through the waist, so you don't want it too big or it will gape. I normally wear a 4 or 6, but probably should have worn a 0 or 2 in this one. Still such a preppy well done dress that it didn't look baggy or sloppy even if big. I got lots of compliments and it was easy to walk around the track in all day. Comfortable material and supportive top with the one shoulder.

Amazingly cute dress, but runs big. Received a size 0 and 2, the 0 appeared to be more like a 2 or 3 and the 2 appeared to be somewhere between a 4 and a 6. Luckily, was able to belt it and add a few pins to make it fit.

I was really hoping this dress would fit, even after I read the reviews and saw that many people said that the dress ran large. The dress was a great length, but there was way too much room in the waist area. It looked baggy and that it needed to be taken in. I have some LP dresses in my closet and this fits more like a 2 or 4. Cute dress, but I had to return and wear something different because the fit was off.

The dress was very cute but didn't have much shape for someone with an hourglass figure. I wore it belted which helped.
